Driftwood cottage is perfect for a couple.
Everything you need plus your own private patio.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Waimanalo. Getting to and from the airport was quick and easy. We avoided the Waikiki/Honolulu crowds. The cottage was complete, cozy and comfortable. The beach was gorgeous, day and night. And a good friend we had not seen in years lived around the corner. We would certainly return if our travels bring us back to Hawaii.
Great beach! Wonderful spot for our stay.
Great place for our winter getaway. Loved the beaches in Waimanalo. The Driftwood Hideaway studio was perfect for us. Comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy sand, sun and great swimming.
World class beach access just steps away
Great value for such unbelievable beach access. Charming studio, well appointed; everything that you need for great beach holiday.
Cozy hideaway close to the beach
The Driftwood Hideaway is just as advertised in the description and photos; the two of us spent a relaxing week enjoying the little town of Waimanalo and beyond. The apartment is small but very comfy and decorated very nicely. We had everything we needed - a kitchenette for preparing simple meals, plenty of thick bath and beach towels, a comfortable bed, and two quality body boards for hours of fun at beautiful Waimanalo Beach. Check in was a breeze and Vic was extremely helpful - he even dropped everything one afternoon to bring us another body board after my husband's board broke on a particularly wild ride. The walls of the apartment are a bit thin as we could hear the people in the attached home but you would get that in a hotel anyway so it really did not bother us. We loved our week and would recommend the Driftwood to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a beautiful setting.
Great family home to relax and enjoy!
We planned a small family reunion and had 3 different locations in Waimanalo. We had 7 people that stayed in the Glass Ball house and the adjacent Driftwood Hideaway. It was a very comfortable, clean and relaxing place to stay. Everyone enjoyed the boogie boards and the convenient wagons to cart all of our towels, chairs and such to the beach. We enjoyed all of the paperbacks provided and made good use of them! Vic met us there on the first day and showed us around the place and made sure we were comfortable. We had no issues with any bugs of any kind. Very clean and had everything we needed. I would not hesitate to stay there again. It wasn't fancy, but was very homey feeling and felt very safe. There is a small private church school next door but I enjoyed the singing and sounds of children playing. The only drawback is the proximity to the main road, which can be noisy, but wasn't really an issue for any of us. The short walk to the beautiful Waimanalo beach which was incredibly lovely, was a huge bonus. We went there every day and also took several hikes to the lighthouse and loved the garlic and coconut shrimp at the local place in town. We had a wonderful week there.
