Guestbook comments from the manager

Date Stayed: July 6th through 13th

Family of 5, 2 Adults and 3 boys ages 17, 16 and 8

We have stayed in this area 5 times before usually in homes in the surrounding community and this year we decided to rent this awesome condo in the "Villages of South Walton". It was clear after 5 times to the area we got it right on the 6th visit, what a great unit!Third floor no one above us, close to the elevator and on the end of the building so very private and quiet. The overall complex really added to the trip everything you want is on property; bike rental, sundry store, liquor store, ice cream, restaurants, shops, beach stuff it's all there. We went with 5 other families all staying at the Villages complex all units were nice but I think we hit the jackpot with our condo. The walk to the large lagoon pool and condo pool were very easy, we love the new tram service to the beach no more calling and waiting for the tram to come they were stationed right next to the community pool. We will book this condo every time we come back to Seacrest Beach and someday hopefully we buy one there but until then this is our unit. One last comment, Patty was so great to work with for our reservation, she had all the information we could ever ask for and checked on us throughout the week, she was SUPER!.

Overall happy with the condo and location.

The master door will lock but it can be pushed open and the master bathroom door cannot be locked. Otherwise good. There is a need for better communication on checkin and check out.

Not clean and very hot!!

  • 2 of 5

We arrived at 5:30 - hour and a half after checkin time - and nothing had been cleaned. Patty sent someone to clean and they said they stripped beds and cleaned, but it was a 5 minute clean. Floor sticky and bedding was thrown together.

I mopped myself. The worst part was the air would not go cooler than 75. Called and text patty several times over 7 days and it remained stifling hot the whole trip. Very disappointed in everything, except the location. Also told to have dinner while they cleaned, since we had travelled all day and the place was not ready, and they would take care of it, but we have gotten no response since sending them a receipt. We waited until the very last minute to leave a review just to see if we could get a response - we do not like to leave negative reviews.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review as always we appreciate the comments on this beautiful unit. You are correct and we do agree that the HVAC ( heating and air unit ) was not working and thus made it terribly hot inside. The cleaning crew was cleaning when you arrived at 4 and they are sorry about that, but Peaden ( the hvac company ) was also working at that time to fix the unit before your arrival. They did "band-aid it" to cool off the condo at that time, but it inevitably did result in a unit change out after your checkout.

Great stay at Rosemary Beach with room for entire family

  • 5 of 5

The condo was large enough for the whole family with up to date furnishings. We truly enjoyed how close we were to all the shops and restaurants of Rosemary Beach and Seacrest Beach. We literally had 2 great restaurants 2 floors down from the condo. We'll be back and I highly recommend the condo.

Excellent Experience all around

  • 5 of 5

My husband, myself, and my three children ages 12 (turned 13 during our vaca.), 10 and 6 had an AMAZING experience. We are from CT, and had never traveled to the Gulf Coast of Florida, so we were totally unfamiliar with this part of Florida. I was originally looking to travel to Ana Maria Island, which is further South, however could not find anything which would fit our family's desires, since we were looking fairly late in the season. I then received a beautiful catalogue in the mail about South Walton, and then began looking into. this further. I spoke with Patty, who was a WEALTH of information about the area, transportation (we were deciding between flying and driving), home rentals versus condos. She was very patient as we had many questions. Additionally, her suggestion for staying in Rosemary Beach in this condo. was a perfect fit for us! The condo. was gorgeous! The pictures did not do it justice; the cleaning staff even did some really cute towel designs, such as ones you might see when staying in a luxury hotel or on a cruise. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything one might need; the decor was beautiful, with all beach themes. We enjoyed listening to live music almost every night of our stay from our balcony which had a fantastic view of the front of the village area. We even enjoyed watching some distant thunderstorm/lightening in the sky. This area is so family friendly - the beaches are GORGEOUS; the state parks were amazing and we even rode our bikes to Seaside, which is such a cute little town! We enjoyed the Froyo. below us, as well as the Mexican Restaurant; We had dinner at `Wild Olives' one night, which was a block or so away, and it was fanatastic! Sugar Shak is such a cute candy store with ice cream served as well, right down the street. I wanted to try `La Crema', but we ran out of time. We even went to the Farmer's Market a couple of times, right down the street, and got some crabcakes, which were really tasty. We enjoyed the doughnuts, which you can purchase in the a.m. right in front - the Red Velvet doughnut was AWESOME! Though we live in CT, this was really our first `beach trip' as a family, as my husband is not a fan of the salt water, but EVERYONE had a blast. Thank you, Patty, for your perfect suggestions, your responsiveness and ease of availability before and during our stay! We hope to come back someday...

Our friends and family stayed here last year and we were very impressed with this condo, location, and the white sands beach! There is a tex-mex restaurant down stairs which has the best salsa for chips! A must try if you like that type of food. We walked to Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach (lunch at George's) during the week. Can't wait to get back.
