About Larry Fleis
My wife and I purchased this home in May 2011. It is gorgeous and we look forward to the day we can retire in the Lake Leelanau area. We get out as often as we can and rent the vacation homes at the other times. See our other vacation home listing on the vrbo site property number 169229.

5 Star Luxury Vacation Home on Beautiful Lake Leelanau
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend wine tour in October with three other couples. This house was perfect in every way and there was plenty of space to spread out. This luxurious home has everything you could possibly need for a week or weekend getaway. The accommodations were pristine and well kept. The home is located directly on Lake Leelanau. The lake views are amazing and star gazing at night off the dock is really fun too. We were able to faintly see the Milky Way Galaxy.
Beautiful house in perfect location
The house is outstanding. There was plenty of room with the four bedrooms and spacious living areas. Everything was clean and in good order. Bathrooms and furnishing are modern and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could think of including a Keurig and margarita glasses. There were plenty of towels, blankets and extra pillows. I could not think of anything else that they could have provided.
The yard was unbelieveable. It has everything that we could need. We felt like we were living the life of the rich and famous while sitting in the hot tub and enjoying the beautiful view. It was great to find a house that had a pontoon boat that we could rent. We were able to drive the boat all of the way to Leland where we shopped and ate lunch.
The owner was very responsive to questions and made themselves available to assist.
The location is perfect. It was an easy drive to Fishtown, Leelanau and Sutton's Bay.
I would love to stay here again because it was so easy to access restaurants and shopping. And there must be 10 wineries within a 30 minute drive.
Beautiful place, beautiful views
We loved our stay on Lake Leelenau. The outdoor area is the best! The house has all the amenities you'd need, but is very comfortable. We had four adult couples for the weekend and had plenty of room Highly recommend this beautiful place.
Perfect for the anniversary trip with our family.
We chose this property because there were 7 of us adults, we wanted to be on a lake, there was a boat dock and rental option, plus the hot tub and fire pit appealed due to the possible cool weather at this time of year. The house is amazingly laid out and appointed with everything we could want. I got spoiled! The location is perfect to visit the area. We took a loop around Lake Leelanau our first full day: Leland (a favorite spot!), Northport/Mitten Brewing, and Suttons Bay (Hop Lot Brewing). Next day was Traverse City day. It was rainiest that day, but we hit Northpeak Brewing, Right Brain Brewery, Filling Station, Workshop Brewing (where we checked out the trail along the river and witnessed a fisherman catch a king salmon!), and Moomers for ice cream on the way home. Third day was Glen Arbor and the Sleeping Bear Dune climb. We had time for a kayak ride when we got back to the house plus another fire and hot tub time. We cooked two meals with meat from Plevars? market in Cedar and it was delicious. Each day before and after sight-seeing we were so excited to enjoy this fun resort-slash-house on Lake Leelanau. We would love to come back and do more biking, canoeing and hiking. Thanks, Larry, for having us for a 40th anniversary trip with our kids that was PERFECT.
Beautiful home & setting, exceptional waterfront
This is our third year staying at this home. It is beautiful inside and out. The owners, Larry & Jackie, are accommodating and make your stay exceptional. The home is well stocked so cooking is fun and the waterfront setting makes you want to spend your days on the lakefront. The hot tub is an added benefit. There is lots of room for several families to be together or spend time apart. The location is perfect with just a short ride to Leland, Suttons Bay and Traverse City.
Amazing property and owners
We had a great vacation. The property is immaculate and stocked with everything you need. The owners are wonderful and available for any questions or needs. Beautiful location and nearby towns are great.
