Jefferson View Lodge is named for the majestic mountain view enjoyed by many while relaxing on the patio with family and friends. Jefferson View is a great place for families & friends to kick back, relax and enjoy the lake! With jet skiing, boating and snowmobiling always an option, you will never become bored. Idaho is home to some of the greatest fishing in the country. With rivers and lakes within driving distance, the only thing better than relaxing on the deck at the lodge, is touring the riverbanks looking for the next big catch!

The Wilcox family is native to Rexburg, ID and has enjoyed the Island Park area for many years. We love coming to Island Park for the great getaway that it is, offering lakeside enjoyment with the comforts of home. When we come to the cabin, some of our favorite things to do are boating, hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, and just spending time with the family!
Julie Wilcox purchased this lodge in 2010
Island Park (Bills Island in particular) is a great vacation spot, which is why we bought these properties when we did. They are remote enough to help us feel as though we are getting away from the world. However, we are close enough to other larger areas, so that shopping and emergencies are taken care of!
The lodge is a great place to get away for the weekend or to plan as an extended stay. With all the comforts of home and the magnificent kitchen, large groups can be accomodated easily. We know it's nice having some peace and quiet as well as play areas for the kids, so we love that the lodge has multiple entertainment rooms and sitting areas on each floor.
Everything about our stay at Jefferson Lodge was perfect for our family. There were 17 adults and 4 children who stayed at this beautiful property which has enough space and gathering areas that people could play cards, watch football, read or play games (both adults and kids) at the same time and not feel like they were crowded. The kitchen is great for cooking meals for crowds and the multiple washer/dryers with young kids and airplane travelers were well-used. The playroom, toys, booster seats, and child cups/utensils were very nice to have available with young children. The snowmobiling, ice fishing and cross country skiing were awesome and we enjoyed having Lakeside Lodge so close for supplies and bar/restaurant. The drive to Grand Targhee for downhill skiing is a long day, but worth the excellent snow and views of the Tetons. The cabin's views are beautiful and the owner was great to work with when booking and answering our questions.
Wonderful place to stay!
Great view of lake, well maintained, Julie is wonderful to deal with
This property is absolutely stunning! It is lovelier than the pictures. We felt "at home" from the moment we entered the lodge. Our large family fit very well in the 8 bedrooms, and with the many large gathering areas we never felt like we were crowded anywhere. The view of the lake from the large deck just outside of the kitchen/living room is stunning; watching the sun set at night was gorgeous. Having a private dock for our boat was wonderful; we only had to put the boat in once and take it out again at the end of the week! No one wanted to leave! We even had a moose to greet us as we arrived! The owners were wonderful to work with and had thought of everything we might need! Two stoves, two microwaves, two refrigerators, and two sinks made meal prep for so many people very easy. A lovely vacation in a wonderful home in a truly beautiful part of the country! Our favorite saying this week? "It truly doesn't get much better than this!"
We rented this property for a family reunion with 18 people. It was spectacular! We were from Illinois, Colorado, California and Idaho. We had a couple of excursions planned in the area. But when it came down to leaving the house, more than 1/2 of us chose to stay on the property because we were so relaxed and were enjoying just being there. We loved how all of the cupboards and drawers were labeled in the kitchen. Made it so easy to put things away after they had been washed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We also had s'mores around the fire pit every night. There were so many different areas to play games or just sit around and visit. We spent a lot of time on the deck and in the lake. The only room in the house that we didn't use was the child's toy room as our youngest was 9. But it looked like it was fully stocked with great toys. This place was just beautiful and perfect. I hope to be able to come back again some time.
What an amazing place even better than the pictures We had our family come from multiple states to meet here. Everyone had their own space. You don't have to think of anything except clothes, sunscreen, and groceries. The place is fully stocked and ready to cook for an army- spices and all. Moms, there is a play room, high chairs, crib and playpen so travel just got lighter. Just enjoy and replenish what you use up.
