Enjoy unobstructed views of Maalaea Bay while sitting on the lanai, working in the kitchen or even lounging on the couch. We love our ground floor unit because we can savor our oceanfront setting without having to look over or around railings. The atmosphere at Maalaea is peaceful and relaxed. A five minute walk in one direction takes you to the undeveloped beauty of Sugar Beach, five miles of white sand with the ocean on one side and Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge on the other; perfect for your morning run or a quiet meditative walk. A short walk in the other direction leads you to Maalaea Harbor, launching point for many water adventures including whale watching, snorkeling, and salt water fishing. This is home to the Maui Ocean Center and several excellent restaurants which offer a wide assortment of dining and drinks. When you’re rested and ready for adventure, Maalaea’s central location allows you to easily reach most of Maui’s famous locations. The Maalaea Banyans has been our favorite vacation spot for many years. Experiencing the sights and sounds of the ocean from the comfort of your own lanai is incredibly relaxing; your troubles will melt away.

We have been vacationing in Hawaii for over 30 years and have found that we gravitate back to Maalaea where we have always felt most at home.

Why Brian and Pam Bue chose Central Maui

We love Maalaea's quiet laid back atmosphere. The beach is seldom crowded and Hauoli St. is a dead end road with very little traffic, so our walks to the beach or the restaurants are very relaxing. We like the ground floor unit because we can enjoy the view without having to look over or around the railings.

What makes this condo unique

The whale watching is fabulous. Sugar Beach is perfect for morning runs and we enjoy being able to walk to restaurants; especially for Happy Hour. We can heartily recommend all the restaurants at Maalaea Harbor. The aquarium is a must see, consider buying the week pass so you visit more than once during your stay. The General Store at the Harbor and the Trading Post on Hauloli St. both offer a good selection of food items if you forgot something at the grocery store.

Felt just like our own home

This was the first time we rented a condo by the ocean and I tell you, it did not disappoint. It was the BEST experience living in Brian & Pam's condo. I mean it's not the Four Seasons if you're into that kinda thing but it's cozy enough and accessible which will make your vacation truly relaxing. I slept in the living room pull out bed and I can hear the ocean waves and I had the best sleep in my life! Parking is easy and it being on the ground floor it was really convenient to get in and out of the place. There's a small park/sandy beach you can walk or drive to at the end of the road—Brian has all the necessities in the closet you can use like boogie boards, beach chairs, and towels. At 10pm it's quiet time in the building and all you hear is the soothing sound of the ocean. Will definitely come back and make more good memories in Maui. Thank you Brian and Pam!

Amazing condo!

My wife and I stayed for four nights in this condo to unwind for a few days, and it was perfect! Nice, quiet condo with a perfect view of the ocean! A fully furnished kitchen, and a BBQ just a small walk away next to the pool and hot tub! The owner was very friendly and it's a very nice location and complex. Highly recommended, and we will be back! :)

Exact as described! Quiet retreat on the water

I really enjoyed my 7 day stay. The pictures describe it perfectly. Short few minute walk to the beach. Chairs, towels coolers supplied. Check in and check out was seamless. Interactions with Brian were clear and friendly. Quiet place and had the essentials. The bed was not very comfortable nor was the bedding. It was clean but felt dirty as it was not lived in and the living furniture wasn't comfortable. Overall, beautiful, quiet, private, Great view, access out front to a small beach. Good little get away for me who was traveling solo!

Perfect Location - Wonderful Hosts

This was our first visit to Maui and our plan was to see the entire island in 7 days. This condo was on a quiet street with an incredible view of the ocean as well as Mount Haleakala. The ocean waves and breeze rocked us to sleep each night. The ground floor unit allowed us to get up and go put our feet in the ocean while watching the sunrise.

Central Location - The town of Kihei has everything you need as far as food, groceries and good gelato. Kihei is about a 12 minute drive. The entire island is accessible by car and nothing is too far. When you drive the road to Hana, you MUST ignore the rental car companies warnings and continue the circle around the island - about a 4-5 hour ride but totally worth it. Kapalua is less than an hour north, again, continue around the island for some incredible sights and a unique gallery with a 30 foot giraffe.

On days that we did not head out driving early, there was the little shopping center that is a 5-10 minute walk. We ate several breakfast's at "Beach Bums" and the food/fruit was wonderful, prices were reasonable and the people friendly. Walk five minutes more and play miniature golf!

One of the best things about our condo was the privacy - unlike many units in the area, this complex makes you feel as though you have the area to yourselves. This is the perfect place for any couple to stay on Maui. We did not see or hear any children at our complex the entire week.

Lastly, I must say that our host Brian (Condo Owner) was the best. The keys were easy to find (we arrived just before midnight), the parking was simple and the condo well stocked, we used the ice chest Brian provided during our 10 minute walk to the county beach park at the end of their road. Brian even called to check on on us after our first night.

Great place to stay, a wonderful piece of paradise.

We have stayed at the Maalaea Banyans several times. Brian and Pam's unit is one of the best ones there. It is on the ground floor, and only steps from the beach. The unit has been updated and is very clean . The bed is very comfortable, and we slept well. The pool and hot tub are great to relax in anytime of day. We are looking forward to staying there again soon. Thank you Brian and Pam, for sharing your wonderful place.

This condo unit is 100% oceanfront; 80 feet to the water's edge. The unit is centrally located along a quiet street. A short 5 minute walk in one direction leads to Sugar Beach, 5 miles of white sand with the ocean on one side and the Lealia Pond Wildlife Refuge on the inland side for the first 2.5 miles. A 10 minute walk in the other direction leads to Maalaea Harbor where excursion boats, 6 restaurants and the Maui Ocean Center can be found. The condo complex has beautiful grounds with a pool, jacuzzi and bbq area near the ocean's edge.
