About this property
Couples Retreat Custom Home - West Sedona
Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located home. The garden patio area is the place to reside in the mild Sedona weather. The fire pit or hot tub outside is the perfect evening retreat or cozy up on the couch with a good book or chat with friends. You can get to any loved spot in sedona in about 5-10 minutes. This home is set down under the main house and feels very private from the street yet has red rock views from the patio, fire pit, &hot tub. No shared areas!
This home is a custom built casita that was built under the main house that lies in the heart of west Sedona. There are no shared spaces with the main house. As you pull up to the main house you will see a teal circle going to the main home. If you keep driving toward the left side of the home you will see a small gated entrance with flagstone path leading Down behind the house. These steps lead you to the casita. The hot tub is just 10 steps away from the front door with views of the red rocks as you soak. We also like to watch the humming birds buzz around in the early summer spring mornings while soaking before a ride or hike. The outdoor patio holds one fire pit, new grill, and a beautiful comfy covered seating area that you can relax in at any point in the day. Note: There are no shared spaces, all areas are private and only for you. If there is a picture then that area is part of the rental and is not shared.
Please park on the left side of the house. There are two parking spaces to the right of the small camper and one more further right next to the fence. Please be respectful of the guests in the main house and do not park in the driveway as that is their space. During the winter we have friends that stay in a camper on the property. They are quiet, keep to them selves, and are great people who cherish their privacy. Thanks for respecting.
The gate going down to the house should be closed at all times so javelina don’t go down and eat all the plants and get trapped downstairs. Thank you
We love hosting you and want to be there for you if you need us. We live just a quarter mile down the road and can be over in a jiffy. Otherwise we will keep clear and let you have your privacy. At night we do have a young daughter and will be doing nighttime routine with her between 7-9 so that will be harder to reach us. Please call or text.
This home is kind of tricky to find. It’s very close to bashes shopping center and 89a. We love the quiet seclusion of the property while it still being walking distance to so many things. The road going to the home is a dirt road and we ask that you stay with the 5mph. We are up on a hill close to some purple mobile homes. This home was a historic ranch area a long time ago. It was owned by two families and then sold off. One person bought the lower section in the 80s and made it into a small mobile park. We know a lot of our neighbors and they are always kind and helpful.
This home is on a short dirt road that you can walk, bike or take a quick dive down to most of west Sedona. If your wanting to hike sugar loaf just walk there. Sugar loaf is 1 mile away and the parking is always very limited. Want to hike airport Mesa, hike there from the house it’s just .9 miles away to trail that be leads you strait to airport trail. (Trail is right next to sedona food bank. )
This is a downstairs to a main house. There are no shared spaces. They have completely different spaces, entrances and the only way you will be able to see the other guest are in the parking area or if they come to the edge of the deck. There are no shared spaces other than parking. The parking area holds a small camper. This gravel spot we rent to dear friends that are only in Sedona for the winter. You will only see them if you catch them heading out on a ride in the morning. Please be respectful for their space. If there is a picture of it the. It’s included in the rental space.
- do not throw anything in the water feature please.

About the host
Hosted by Jon Kerchner
Hi my family and I welcome you to Sedona. We live here in Sedona just down the road. We are fun, outdoorsy people that love adventure and have a positive outlook on life. We are excited about making lots of new friends through airbnb. See you soon!
Why they chose this property
This home is located in a secluded neighborhood that we find is one of its best qualities. You're up on a hill right in middle of west Sedona! Our neighbors are kind and keep to them selves.
What makes this property unique
This home is built under the half of the main house and was fully build with the southwest in mind. It stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter because of how the home is built. You can also reach out if you would like to rent the whole property.
