Place was in an excellent location. Very safe and quiet. Host could not have been nicer. Very quick to respond to any text. He mentioned that he was actively working to improve the property. Excited to see the place on my next trip to Pittsburgh.
All basics are provided for linens and kitchen. Walkable neighborhood. Very welcoming and gracious host. The house is getting some updates which will be nice.
This place has lots of room- four large bedrooms in addition to a living room and kitchen. Great communication with the host and convenient to Pitt, CMU, and shopping. A great rental for a large group!
Great communication from the owner.Appreciated the fact that he allowed me to check in a little early and offered a late check out as well, Both were very helpful
Place was clean and stocked with very basic necessities. In a fine location for what we needed. Plumbing needs some work but no big complaints!

This is a work in progress. However, it is not allowed to have a VRBO in this complex. The neighbors were gracious, but let us know that. Also, there are gaps in stair rail our 1.5 year old could have fallen through. Rickety tv stands any toddler could have knocked over. Overpriced for what it was.

visting for college graduation
We were in Pittburgh for our child's graduation. While the overall physical space is as described and the location was very good, the house was undergoing some renovation and was very sparse in terms of furniture. Moreover, there were many flies in the house, missing pillow case covers, and some spaces required additional cleaning.
VRBO is outside of the downtown area, but easy to get to everything. Very easy to find and comfortable place for our group of 9. Carmine was very responsive. I proved to be a bit needy when I left my laptop behind and got panicky and had to have it FedEx'd to me. Easy to park near a transit station and use the T to get around as well. Loved it and would definitely stay here again.
Great neighborhood; very safe area and within walking distance of shops/stores. Bedrooms were extremely spacious with comfortable mattresses and bedding/pillows in good condition. The large table in the main living area was great for seating a large group for meals and our family game night! Home is sparsely furnished and could use some nicer window coverings and some additional seating in living area. Towels provided were a bit worn and surprised it did not have a full size coffee pot. Owner provided his contact information if we were in need of anything. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay at this property.

The property is very sparse and uncomfortable. The kitchen had very little in it, There was a deck w no outside furniture . The beds were uncomfortable. The lighting was poor . The owner is doing VRBO even though it is against the bylaws of the HOA. The neighbors made is feel uncomfortable. VRBO should not let this happen!

No Showers
Owner responsive but house had terrible plumbing. Rented for 3 full bathrooms but none had useable showers. Top bathroom leaked on bedroom below so that bed and bath were unuseable. Refrigerator door was broken. Top floor toilet loosely bolted. Would like to know about getting a refund
Carmine Is an excellent host. He communicated well with us at all phases of our registration and visit. He was responsive.
The property was still undergoing some renovation. major appliances worked, and the unit was cool during the heat wave.
We were disappointed that the beds were covered with plastic liners, which were uncomfortable during sleeping. Also, the kitchen utensils were minimally stocked, a coffee maker, for example, but no filters. While the gated community pool was not listed as an amenity, it was disappointing to see other people going in the pool, which we could not use during the heat wave.
Another problem was the disparity in the cancellation deadline, which for this property was notably curtailed compared to other Vrbo properties. When we needed to cancel the third night, we couldn’t do it, at considerable expense.
all in all, it’s a reasonable, clean and comfortable property for those seeking a four bedroom unit in Pittsburgh.

Not a typical vacation rental
I was completely shocked by many aspects of this property, other than the lack of furniture that was clearly shown in the pictures. The list of issues is too long for this review but first it smelled like stale smoke, the towels were fit for a two year-old, not for adults, and they were not sufficient supplies of them, , there was no full length mirror, no hairdryer, there were paper shades on the windows from Home Depot and while they might have been blackout shades, they didn’t cover the windows, there was a temporary small refrigerator because the main refrigerator was broken, but no ice. There were disgusting stains in the carpet, a leak spot on the ceiling above our bed, and none of this was told to us in advance. There is very little lighting. The porch had no furniture and was not swept. Overall, for the price it was a huge disappointment. If you are planning to bring all of your own supplies, then this might be the place for you if you have lots of children and you like having tons of steps. It also is way into the property and not very near the main streets Overall a huge disappointment. This property needs a significant amount of renovations, and some of them were in process and not well done.
Owner did not disclose until just before check-in (like a few hours) that the kitchen refrigerator was non-functioning and he only had a mini-fridge - it had clearly been broken for a while and had moldy water in the freezer compartment. Owner did not disclose until just before check-in that the entryway and entry stairwells are unfinished. Stairwell railing to the first floor is not up to code. Furniture is cheap and very basic. "Marble" tables are plastic/laminate. The living room couch had a large jagged piece of broken wood sticking out of a hole. Several lights in the place did not work. Windows have no screens. The whole place had a weird mildew smell. Owner also told me just before check-in about his problems with neighbors; one of the neighbors talked to me as soon as I arrived. Kitchen has very little in the way of useful items, e.g., not even mini-filters for the mini coffee pot. We bought a bunch of stuff at Target to use instead - including ice and coolers because of the broken fridge. Place has several tacky handwritten signs throughout, including one on a closet threatening people to not open it because there's a video camera inside recording. The owner said he generally doesn't allow parking in the driveway of the townhouse. I was so embarrassed to have family stay at this place.
