We offer guests a cozy spot to rest after long days spent out on the water or pursuing other adventures. Spend your days exploring the Woodlands Nature Station, golfing at several nearby courses including the Boots Randolph Course, visiting Land Between the Lakes, or just simply boating or fishing the day away out on Lake Barkley. Bring your boat, canoe, or kayaks, or rent at the local marina.
Just steps to the lake, guests are able to walk to the lake for a morning or evening stroll for a peaceful lakeside interlude, or put their canoes/kayaks in the water; Calhoun Hill Boat Ramp is right around the corner if you bring your own boat. The kitchen in River Bliss Cottage comes fully equipped with full size appliances, as well as a grilling deck just off the screened porch — which is just perfect for nights in enjoying a delicious home-away-from-home-cooked meal. Curl up with the family and play board games, read a good book, watch fireflies, deer, turkey, fox, birds and other wildlife from the screened deck that looks out into woods, or enjoy something on the available smart TV with internet service. Or, fill the slow cooker before you leave for the day, and come home for a ready-made meal after you explore the local fun. If you are too tired to cook, Lake Barkley State Resort restaurant and Greg’s Grill are open seasonally and close by. Complimentary coffee and tea in the kitchen.

Easy drive to Homeplace 1850’s Farm, Golden Pond Planetarium and Observatory, Turkey Bay OHV trails, Cadiz antique shopping, , spirit sampling at Casey Jones distillery and so much more. This would make for a great for girls getaway or small family group. There is a queen bed, twin/full bunkbed which overall sleeps 4 people. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts or a girls weekend getaway.
