Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway, overlooking gorgeous views of the beach and marina. The Starboard suite has two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a laundry room. Other amenities include a living room with board games, books, and a UHD TV with thousands of movies & TV shows available to watch. Within walking distance of a grocery store and some of NL's most beautiful hiking trails. Rediscover nature at The Homestead.

Any time of year, The Homestead is an ideal vacation destination. We're a boutique, small town seaside lodge that's close to many of the best places to see and things to do in Newfoundland. We offer inspiring, epic views of the natural environment and all the comforts of home in much larger than you'd expect suites that are decorated to reflect our distinctive marine location. With the ocean at our doorstep, your outside adventures await. Inside you'll have multiple entertainment options, including a never-ending film festival sized movie collection, or just sit back and listen to the sound of the surf.

Too short a stay in Long Cove

I was looking for a few days away, to enjoy some solitude in my favorite Canadian destination. I found exactly what I needed and wanted. Relatively close to St. John's - Norman's Cove - Long Cove is a delightful community, with friendly, welcoming people, and great ocean views.Karl's property was cozy, well equipped, and provided a fantastic base from which to take day trips to the Baccalieu Trail, Trinity, and St. John's. The property is located just a few minutes walk to two really excellent trails - Pembly Cove and Seaside. Karl was an excellent and responsive host. Check-in was easy. Each of two bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms with showers - with a never ending supply of hot water, the bed was super comfortable, and loads of spare linen, towels, blankets, etc. I really appreciated the ability to access the washer and dryer - always nice to get that done and pack clean clothes to take home.Overall, I really enjoyed my 5 nights at Karl's Starboard Suite @ The Homestead. I will hope to be back at some point in my future visits to The Rock.
