About this property

Quiet, convenient 2-bedroom house near town and conservation trails.

If you're staying in Rochester for a couple days or a couple weeks, this 50's style home is an excellent and convenient value.

--- Simply, I am transitioning, as my daughter is off to college! I can (and am) living elsewhere now, but I don't want to sell, so it's time to make this comfortable house available to you.

There are the expected necessities in the fridge, and other basic groceries in the cabinets, but you'll need to get some groceries at your choice of SuperMarkets less than a mile away (Market Basket, Hannafords, Super Walmart).
A large map in the dining room shows Rochester's dining and shopping locations. It's really very nice being this close to everything! Please write something into the Guest Book!

Hanson Pines and the conservation trails are just across the river (footbridge) just 400' away. Canoe and Kayaks are available for your use in the Spring, Summer and Fall.
The garage, and attic are locked.
There is plenty of driveway for two (2) cars only. More than two cars will be considered an 'event' and is not allowed in the guidelines of VRBO.
The welcome sheet on the dining table has QR codes for easy scan access to videos to show how to use kitchen appliances and more.
--Please, as with all VRBOs, try to replace (or leave cash) for the beverages and foods that you consume.

The laundry is in the basement. Laundry hours are between 9 am and noon, 7 days a week. There is a camera on the laundry machines (and the rest of the basement) for everyone's security. The attic and the garage are locked. There are cameras outside of the house too. Again, this is for everyone's security and is typical for AirBnB.

Starting in March! - Di$counts for Tuesdays and Wednesdays! There is a complete and separate apartment in the basement with its own kitchen, bathroom, and entrance. AND on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, I MIGHT need to spend the night there! Arriving at 8 pm for an overnight stay! (I will text you a full day in advance). If it's OK with you and I do stay the night, I will leave a $25 ca$h di$count in the breezeway for you at 7 AM the next morning.
I have another house up in Conway and I can commute in (if I must) on those days, but I'd much rather just stay in the basement apartment for the night, if it's OK with you.

Lastly, I have had a lot of requests for large dogs recently. And I can only convey that I ask that you be honest with me! Would YOU want someone else bringing an overactive, destructive, shedding or drooling dog into your house? Dog hair sticks to the linens like glue!
It's a tough spot for people travelling with a big dog/s. And it's hard to answer. Please be honest with me on your description of your furry friend!
Please do not ask me to accept a booking payment or to correspond in anyway other than via VRBO.

Please do not ask to correspond with me in anyway other than thru VRBO. This is how they monitor what I'm doing and what you're doing. Once you are my guest, you will also then have my phone number, but prior to that, all communication must be kept via VRBO. Thank You!

Perfect Place
Great location, everything you could possibly need is minutes away. The house is very clean, and we'll equipped. In a very quiet neighborhood. Huge flat screen, great sunroom, games, and cards, a wine selection and so much more. Harvey is easy to get in touch with, and a great communicator. Flawless stay, will be coming back again.

Rochester House
The house is wonderful, very bright and clean. The Kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was extra warm and cozy in the early morning, which I really appreciated. We especially loved the sunroom for sitting and enjoying wine and cribbage. I actually forgot the wine and was happy to see a selection on the counter which we enjoyed and left a few bucks for. We went for a walk and only a minute away is a beautiful foot bridge over the river and to pretty walking trails. We'll definitely want to stay here when we return to Rochester. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

I'm from the NH Seacoast and have been here most of my life. I'm a rock-hound am always collecting souvinir stones when I travel.
My daughter is now off to college and I've decided to make my place available for VRBO! Maybe even AirB&B. It's that simple. I'm still working in Rochester, but I don't need to live here too! I'm typically about thirty minutes away, so if you need any help with anything, I can be there quick enough.

Why they chose this property

This is a quiet neighborhood. There's a kayak/canoe access to the river which is just 400' away and this part of the Cocheco River really is beautiful. During the weekdays, you can hear the train which is on the other side of town, but it's a nice familiar sound. And Rochester now has everything that anybody needs! All of the conveniences are here now!

What makes this property unique

It's not on a lake! So the price is great! And it's quieter without the boats and jetskiis screaming around outside your window! Convenience, comfort, and quiet. And then there's the sunroom, I do love that room!
