The property was featured in the Summer 2007 issue of Teton Home and Living magazine. Originally built in 1966, it was one of the first homes in Teton Village. A major renovation and large addition was completed in 2005, and included the private hideaway guest wing. All this is located just steps from the Winter and Summer activities offered in and around Jackson Hole's resort Village.

You will RENT DIRECTLY FROM THE OWNER (Mike Daus), who will personally respond to your inquiry, not an agent or representative; and, the rates are competitively priced. Please check the calendar for up-to-date availability. The owner has twenty years of experience with investing and managing rental property in Jackson Hole, and holds an active Wyoming Associate Broker real estate license. The owner is also a retired firefighter; and, PSIA certified ski instructor.
The entrance to the Hideaway is from a private deck, complete with it's own hot tub. Enjoy views both up the mountain, and of the Jackson Hole valley below from the private front balcony. Plus, wildlife visits are common, so bring a camera! The large great room with vaulted ceilings is bright with natural light; and, the Hideaway is warmed by state-of-the-art hydronic floor heating with individual controls in each room.
The comfortable living space is enhanced with a large flat-scree smart TV; so, connect to your favorite sports, channels, streaming services, gaming, music, or cast from your portable device.
CHEF'S KITCHEN: The contemporary open kitchen is perfect for conversation while creating culinary masterpieces. Dining takes place on a raised elliptical, 5-6 seat dining bar surrounding the large cooking island. Upgraded range/oven in December 2013.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Both bedrooms have large closets. The first bedroom has a king-sized bed and cable TV. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed. Overlooking the living space is a warm sleeping loft with a trio of twin beds accessed by a fixed ship's-style ladder--great for kids. Don't let the name "Rendezvous Hideaway" confuse you. These are all real beds, no hideaways!
KEEPING ORGANIZED: In the hallway to the bedrooms is a full size Whirlpool washer and dryer; as well as, a linen closet, and a divided bath, where the toilet and tub (with shower) are separated by an interior door from the sink/vanity area.
The Hideaway is furnished with wireless internet, luxury linens, bath amenities, a boot dryer, and the kitchen is completely stocked with dishes, cookware, and coffee maker; as well as, coffee filters, napkins, paper towels, and garbage bags. No need to buy water bottles either--Teton Village's water supply is some of the best tasting water in the area! Appliances include a full size refrigerator, freezer with ice-maker, dishwasher, built-in microwave, electric oven and range.
Plus there's instant hot water at the sink and an in-sink disposer. Housekeeping is provided upon departure for stays up to one week, and additional services can be arranged (chef, groceries, catering, mid-stay cleaning, professional event planning, etc.).
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! All that Teton Village has to offer is only a few minutes away by foot including the Mangy Moose and Four Seasons Resort--it actually takes longer if you drive! In addition to the ski resort, you'll have easy access to nearby shopping, dining, nightlife, spas, sightseeing, and more. The entrance to Grand Teton National Park is one mile from the front door, Yellowstone is one hour away, and the town of Jackson is a beautiful 20 minute drive.
Many guests like the freedom of a rental car to visit other attractions in the valley, but others rely on the Jackson Hole START Bus ('transit with a view!') which accesses the Town of Jackson with its additional shopping, restaurants and bars. The Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) is serviced year round and seasonally by American, Delta, and United; and, is about 30-40 minutes away by car, shuttle, or taxi.
At this time parking for one vehicle is provided; however, additional parking may be available upon request.
Stay for as few as three nights! During peak demand, owner may require a higher minimum.

About Mike Daus
This area has been my home since the early 70’s when my parents brought my siblings and me out West and enrolled us in the local schools. We spent part of the year here, and part of the year in Ohio. In the late 80’s I moved back to the area permanently, working briefly in the travel industry before getting involved in real estate appraising, brokering, investing, managing and remodeling. I purchased the “Rendezvous House” in September of 2001, and made some immediate changes to enhance the comfort of the accommodations. After renting it for a short time, I moved-in and began plans for an extensive remodel and addition. The vision was realized in 2005 when the project was complete; along with the luxury bunkhouse accommodations known today as 'The Rendezvous Hideaway.' In addition to my family, my next favorite feature of this house is its location, so close to the center of Teton Village! Welcome!

Why Mike Daus chose Teton Village
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to own property so close to the heart of the ski village. While one of the oldest homes in the area (1966), and in need of attention, age could not steal it's bragging rights as being the closest single family residence to the Tram! And even while it sits so close to the heart of Teton Village, the views and the feel could be anywhere in the mature, wooded neighborhood of the original Teton Village residential area. The location, combined with the extensive remodel and addition completed in 2005, makes this one of the most sought after vacation rentals in Teton Village.
What makes this Guest House unique
The house is located in a mature forest, with plenty of privacy. It's so close to everything that walking or skiing to and from the lifts, hiking/biking trails, restaurants and shops, is more convenient than driving. Still, you'll feel as though you're deep in the woods as you look up the mountain, or through the trees and out across the valley.

The location and accommodations were fantastic. It was clean, bright and plenty of room for our family of 4. It was a quick walk to the village, all lifts and ski rentals. We really enjoyed the option to eat in, take out or go out. We rented a car and utilized the parking spot which was great. We were able to visit Jackson and the surrounding area as well. Mike was great and answered all our questions as well as give us suggestions on restaurants and grocery stores. This was a great stay and we would truly recommend staying here! It is a hidden gem!!! We too will be back!! Thank you Mike!
The house was clean and organized. Easy parking and super convienient to the tram!
We were four women looking for great skiing and we had the best time! The house was stocked well and very clean. It had everything we needed. We never needed to drive unless we went into Jackson. It’s close to restaurants, bars and you can literally ski to the driveway. Great spot!!!
Less than a five minute walk to the tram, a quiet, comfortable, well equipped place to stay, and a hot tub on the back deck. It will be the first place we will turn to when planning our next trip to Jackson Hole.

Fantastic and Convenient
This amazingly, cute, updated house is only minutes- by foot or bike- from Teton Village. Enjoy the wooded view and all the conveniences of home without having to drive and find parking anywhere! By walking for less than 5 minutes, you can reach restaurants, shopping, trams, gondolas, skiing and tours of Jackson Hole- plus the bus into Jackson, WY 20 minutes away (Jackson Hole is the whole area; Jackson is the town; Teton Village is a collection of resorts, houses and shops.) This cozy, cottage provides the best of many vacation worlds-all the privacy and easy access to the great outdoors one could desire along resort living without the crowds. It's a perfect space with a surprising amount of space for people and storage. Five Stars!

Reservation confirmation is subject to acceptance and execution of the Rental Terms and Agreement documentation provided separately by owner. The Rendezvous Hideaway is open year round with special off-season pricing and return guest discounts. This rental is a lock-off from the Owner's residence, in a separate wing that offers it's own entrance, and privacy from the rest of the home. As part of the Owner's residence, Owner reserves the right to refuse or cancel reservations for any reason. While it is generally not the Owner's intent to refuse or cancel reservations, in the unfortunate event that it becomes necessary, a full refund will be issued at the time of cancellation unless Renter has violated any terms of the rental agreement.
