About Ann Harold, French Broad Real Estate Company
We've always loved the mountains and Hot Springs is a delightful little village, with great restaurants, interesting local shops and literally on the Appalachian Trail. The French Broad River is an added boost, with fly-fishing, rafting and swimming and just plain relaxing. Over the past few months we have replaced the interior window treatments, added window screens, replaced and added several pieces of furniture, added chairs and a hammock to the fit pit area, upgraded the landscaping (an ongoing effort!), upgraded kitchen cookware and utensils, upgraded the gas fire place, added games, books and magazines to enhance the cabin experience and added a phone for our guests' use.

Beautiful cabin high on the mountain.
The cabin was beautiful and right on the AT trail. Really enjoyed the stay but their were some issues. The Hot Tub was cold and did not heat up to temp until the morning I checked out. The fireplace would not light also but overall a great place to stay. Gorgeous views and well equipped for short stays. The road does require AWD or 4WD to navigate but well worth the trip. Will return for another stay even though low 🌟 given. Would hope the issues would be fixed.
The cabin was beautiful!
The cabin was perfect for our family. The hot tub was very relaxing. The views were amazing. I was a little disappointed there was no WiFi, only because we did not have cell service. We managed to get WiFi in Hot Springs, but only during our time in town. The drive up the mountain to the cabin was a bit tricky but my Minivan handled it just fine. All in all this was a wonderful place to stay and we enjoyed our time there!
Wished the fireplace would have been working and the hot tub wasn't heated til the day after we got there but overall the cabin was clean and beautiful will return
Very nice cabin and good view. I underestimated the location. Glad I drove a truck. Only negative things to say was that I was extremely disappointed the gas fireplace did not work because it was supposed to be a romantic getaway and it was rather chilly (30s). The cleaning service was much to be disired. A lot of dust and cobwebs. If one is charged a cleaning fee, I would not expect there to be signs telling you to clean up and take your trash out and a it had a rather nasty oven. I would Consider staying at Sherwood again. Consider changing the cleaning service
Wonderful weekend getaway
Had a wonderful weekend getting away from city life. Wonderful hot tub and enjoyed the fire pit. Could not get the television to work. Cell phones didn't work so plan on giving the land line number to family in case of emergency. Wonderful getaway for two. If you are bringing kids you do not have a master bedroom door.
Great cabin with beautiful views
We had a wonderful visit. It was perfect for an impromptu weekend getaway. Lovely cabin with a great view. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the fireplace wasn’t working, but I think it was just out of gas. We will be back!
