This was the second time we stayed at the Tranquil Getaway. It is close to our family and this makes a great "extra home" for visits. The home is comfy and well appointed for family stays. We look forward to staying again in the future.

We were in the area to visit our grand daughter who was graduating from the University of Maryland. It was great to find a nice homey property so close to get house in Mechanicsville.

I appreciated the microwave, washer/dryer, and refrigerator. The master bedroom mattress was only suitable for one person as when my husband and I both were in the bed, gravity forced us to the center.

Patuxent River Stay
The home needs some TLC. Light switchs in various rooms were broken. The master bathroom sink was without a drain plug and the bathroom mirror light wasn’t working but a stick up fluorescent light was added. The Nest thermostat had no instructions on how to operate it. The living room furniture that was two recliners with a center piece was very shaky and not hooked together. We were there with six adults and two children but only had seven bath towels. The neighborhood was fine and proximity to our family’s home was wonderful. I think with a bit of effort it will be a wonderful rental.

Really appreciate the honest feedback. A few of those things definitely need some extra attention, and we’re already working on tightening them up for future guests. Wish we had known about the issues while you were still here so we could’ve jumped in and helped out. Glad the location worked well for your trip, and we’d love another shot to give you a better stay next time.
