The property is pretty beaten up which is not described in the listing. The walls are scratched extensively, the master shower was broken, and the fire place door was broken. The unit smells like smoke. We also found an old Budweiser can under a bed that the cleaners didn’t get. Generally a mediocre unit.

Electricity turned off

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We travelled with our 3 small children and the proximity to the pool/hot tub was perfect! The home was also very clean and well stocked with extra towels and blankets. I would recommend they add some kid friendly dinnerware and drink ware, but we made do with what was there. My only complaint was that while we were there, the electricity got turned off on unit. We had just returned from taking a hike and were getting cleaned up when all of a sudden the power went out. We thought maybe there was an issue with the breaker, but came to find out that Idaho Power had shut off the electricity. Thankfully we were able to talk to a representative from Idaho Power about our situation, given that we had no control over the outstanding electricity bill being paid and were just renting the place for a few days. The gentleman we talked to was very empathetic and called the host management company, said he would turn the power back on for a little bit, but also couldn't guarantee he wouldn't have to come back the next day and shut it off again. Thankfully we never had another issue but we were very surprised that no one from the management company (Alpine Lodging) contacted us or communicated anything. When we checked out two days later, I mentioned the situation to the host again and they were very dismissive of the whole thing. Honestly it was just very odd and left us with a bad taste in our mouth for that location and it's host management company.

We cooked most of our meals at the condo, and while the kitchen is well stocked with dishes/cookware, you need to provide anything else you need for cooking (i.e. salt and pepper).

Our condo was very nice but we had the loudest bed we had ever been in and if one of us moved at night the other was woken by the noise. This could be heard throughout the condo even upstairs. Along with that the washing machine was broken and that is one reason we choose a place to stay.

Both times I have left completely satisfied with the stay. Check-in process is a breeze. Very easy instructions. Condo was clean. I loved the multiple twin beds in the loft and downstairs bedroom. Great lounge area with a wood burning fireplace. The fire made for a great ambiance after a long day skiing. Condo is slightly outdated but that doesn’t affect the coziness or cleanliness. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great spot

The place is very comfortable and conveniently located. It’s close to skiing and town. The checkin window is pretty tight and the checkin location is separate from the property but it isn’t bad and checkin was fine with some planning ahead. The property manager is very responsive and helpful. The hot tub at the place was cold but we had access to the elkhorn pool which had a great hot tub. The kitchen isn’t stocked very well. Pans aren’t very good so glad we brought our own. And make sure to bring your own coffee filters. But the set up of the place is great for a group with a big open main floor and large dining table. Beds are comfy and good water pressure in the showers. Would book here again.

Wonderful

We loved it! We had a great and comfortable stay. One thing to be aware of- the railings to the side of the stairs and in the loft have slats wide enough for a small child to fit through. I was traveling with my children ages 2 and 4 and we had to block off those areas. Had they wanted to, they could have easily fallen from the loft out from the dining room area to the tiled entryway.

Disappointing stay from the beginning to end

To start, the location of this condo is amazing, I’ll give it that. We had such a poor experience. The king size bed was so incredibly loud, I wish I could explain just how horrible it was. We have 3 small children and no one slept the first night. With a kid or two trying to get in bed with us and then they can’t sleep because of the noise. It was miserable. I called alpine lodging and spoke to Barb…she laughed at me and was so mean and rude. To have that interaction on top of not sleeping at all the night before was so awful. A maintenance person came, and as Barb said “well you don’t need to be there”, so they came while we were gone and removed the box springs. Their note says, it’s a little better. So we slept on the most uncomfortable mattress on a giant piece of plywood for 8 nights. Miserable. And the cruelness from the office made it feel worse, no kindness at all. We will never book another place with alpine lodging. Oh and they did refund us for “a night stay” but it was less than the nightly rate…if it was handled differently I would have felt a little better. I’ve never been laughed at like that while holding back tears. It was so unfortunate.

Nice condo!

Really liked the space, fit us all well with the loft and roomy kitchen/living/dining area! The hot tub was very close and roomy, which is a great perk on a ski trip. Everything was clean and convenient. Even an easy bus stop right by the condo to get to town. Only thing to mention is the check-in process requires you to go to the office, which makes it more difficult with a late check-in. They do have a lock box for keys which is easy, but we had to go back to the office again for the hot tub access. Not really a problem just worth noting so you can plan for it! Overall great stay!

Clean, comfortable, and accomodating

This is a really nice property that comfortably accommodates 5 to 6 people. The property is well taken care of and has all of the required amenities. It was an approx 10 minute drive to River Run and the Sun Valley slopes. It snowed approximately 6 inches the day we left and the walkways and driveways were already clear by 8 am. I'd stay here again.

Great Condo for a Ski Vacation!

This was our second year in a row staying in the same condo for a family ski vacation! It has the perfect amount of space and beds for a family of 6. It's nice to have access to a hot tub after a long ski day! A couple suggestions for improvement: The condo really needs a new frying pan! The teflon coating on one is completely coming off and is unusable. There is only one small stainless steel frying pan. The kitchen is stocked with very bare minimum items for cooking. The King size mattress is also in need of an upgrade. The internet had issues working well. Thankfully we skied during the day and then had games to play in the evenings.
