It was clean and very cozy. Quiet area. And the owners have OUTSTANDING communication. When i needed to ask a question about something, it was answered quickly. The place is on well water which I know nothing about...good thing my husband clarified some things for me. Our stay was cut ahort due to weather and the owner was super nice. We will stay again when we come back to Whiteville.

Great for what we needed.

Well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. The water coming out of all faucets did smell odd.

I want to start by saying that Edie is a phenomenal host. She gave me the option to check in early. There were some cleanliness issues upon arrival, but Edie was on top of things and worked with me to provide a solution that suited me best. The property is lovely. I love that it's tucked away in the country, but so close to major stores, highways, small shops, churches, and more. There is a small local science museum that's FREE. I spent hours in there. It's geared towards children, but engaging enough for adults too. The fire pit was nice to sit around. I didn't start a fire though, but wood is provided. There a nice ramp, so you don't have to walk up steps to enter the house if that's an issue for you. The beds are comfortable enough. The pillows are do to be replaced though. Inside you'll find a lot of dishware, small appliances, a couple of TV's, and full size washer and dryer. A starter supply of laundry pods, fabric softener, toilet tissue, and paper towels is also provided. My biggest complaint is that the house has well water and it hasn't been tested in a while. The water has a rotten egg smell that bothered me a great deal. I mentioned this to the host and I believe that they'll take the necessary steps to fix this. All in all it was a good stay and a the weekly rate is extremely reasonable.

Sharyn, your kind words have made my day! I work very hard on keeping the home warm and inviting, but wonder if it is enough. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It validates that all the work is creating a place that is comfortable and cozy for guests to come, enjoy and have what they need. Congratulations on your new son and I am thankful we could be part of your visit.

Another nice spring break from our Northeast Weather

The place was just like it was described on the VRBO site. The host was excellent. We did have a issue with the AC which was taken care of immediately. (Thank you Edie)The property was just as described, perfect if your looking for some peace and quiet. There were plenty of restaurantsto chose from in nearby Whiteville. (Anthony's Italian restaurant was our favorite)We did make several trips to Myrtle Beach which just over an hour away. (The legend show was really good this year)If we decide to come back to this area again next year we would love to stay here again.

The place was nice and spacious. Everything was nice and clean. Looks just like the photos. It is the country, so we saw a lot of little lizards. Had one in the house, but he didn't bother us so we left it alone. The only thing that we didn't like was the smell from the well water. It was a very strong rotten egg smell. My daughter said it smelled like Nair. I couldn't shower with it. We used bottles of water for hand washing and for brushing our teeth. If that could be improved, I would definitely stay again.

Unique location surrounded by cornfields. Very private secluded location. Automatic outside lighting at night. Firepit with picnic area included outside. State of the art kitchen area and cooking facilities. Washer/dryer inside. Common area big screen TV and seating with WI-FI. Master bedroom big screen TV and adjoining bathroom. I loved the 2 additional bedrooms with common bathroom. Every amenity worked perfectly. Dishes, coffeemaker cookware and silverware were all included. Handicapped ramp included for easy entry and exit. I loved the screened porch out front. Looking forward to coming back for another visit. Excellent value for the money. Kudos to the owner for a great offering It was Joy go live

Being from Whiteville I spent a great deal of my childhood and early adult years in the area. My grandparents had built the brick home in front and family members lived in the home you will stay in. Such great memories of the area and the home. It is important to share that with others.
I enjoy hosting a home that people can enjoy when they can't be in their own home. The need love, laughter and life in them. Our guests are able to bring that to our home when we can't be there. That is a priceless gift that we cherish!
