This cabin was the perfect rustic getaway. The A-frame cabin sits on the top of a sandy hill snugged into a pine forest at the edge of the Adirondacks. We enjoyed a cozy weekend reading and relaxing on the triple decker balconies and near the woodstove. It was the ideal spot for our anniversary getaway, but we hope to come back as a whole family!

Very cozy cabin and a nice quiet property. Rooms a clean and comfortable. Showers are a nice perk as well. Tons of blue-Jays visited the bird feeder while we were here!

This a truly special place! I went for a few days of solitude and was exactly what I was hoping for. I do wish the road noise was not as close but it wasn’t bad. The facilities being outside was a bit to far for me being my age and having kids.. but was surprisingly clean and fresh. The rain water was easy to use with clear instructions. I’ll be going back for sure!

Peaceful setting. Great communication with host. Clear instructions for off grid systems. Loved being able to walk the property and have our dogs off leash. The cabin was cozy and a delight to stay at.

Beautiful area, lovely cabin, and wonderful hosts

Me and my partner had a lovely two night stay filled with cozy fires, lovely meals, hot coffee and a very comfortable cabin. The hosts made check in and check out easy and I look forward to staying again soon!

Beautiful property, we can tell a lot of love and thought went into the cabin. There is a town only 10-15 minutes away and the property is so peaceful. Even had its own little beach with an outdoor shower. Had a great time!!

The cabin was amazing. It was very clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed. The property was beautiful, serene and quiet. There are a ton of useful notes and a binder with a ton of information on the cabin, property and surrounding areas.The host was great. They were always quick to respond and gave us a lot of information.This was me and my fiances first full vacation together, and this cabin was perfect. Definitely an unforgettable vacation and an amazing choice.

This cabin is phenomenal for a retreat. This was my second time going to this property, and it was just as amazing as the first time. The property itself is so serene, the trees are beautiful and everything is so quiet. The stars always look amazing and make it so much more beautiful.The amenities aren't fancy, but they are very very good for what the property is. The rainwater collection system does take some extra work, but it works really well and honestly adds a nice touch to the stay. The kitchen is pretty small, and in general I would recommend getting dinner out. The food in Croghan and Lowville is pretty good, and makes for nice outings.The area nearby doesn't have a whole lot of activities, but the hiking, food and overall atmosphere make it up. There are lots of outdoor activities, like hikes, rivers and state parks to visit with amazing views. The food places are various, and give a lot of great experiences like Tug Hill Vineyard or Jeb's in Lowville.The property being pet-friendly seals the deal too. Me and my fiance love going with our dog, Demi and the property is great for it. My dog is anxious, but her she has the best time. The quiet paired with the trees and plants make it the perfect place for her to explore.I really cannot recommend Mountain Laurel more. We tend to go to relax and treat ourselves, and the quiet and peaceful environment make it the perfect de-stressor.

Private and quiet. Very clean and has everything you need for a nice stay. Stove keeps things nice and toasty even when below freezing! Great stay.

Rustic Weekend Getaway

Lovely rustic get away. Great place to unplug and unwind. Nice cross between the self sufficiency of camping and the comfort of a hotel room.

Perfect “off grid” get away!

Cabin was adorable, perfect size for the two of us and the dog. Loved all the personal touches in the cabin and thrilled to have had a hot shower! Great paths through the woods to get out on a little walk, we all can’t wait to go back!
