Love every minute!
This is a beautiful cabin/home, well stocked with everything you need for a great visit. The view from the deck is priceless and provide a beautiful daily vista and great vantage to look at nightly star shows. The beds are comfy as is the rest of the home. Would gladly stay there again and again. The cabin is close to entrance to East Glacier, which was a plus.
better than the pictures!
Our group of 2 couples stayed at this home for 3 nights while visiting the Two Medicine area of Glacier NP. The location was good for that entrance, and we found some other great hiking even closer to the cabin. Lots of privacy at the cabin being at the end of the road, just a little confusing the first time you try to get in.
The cabin itself is great. As others have stated, the pictures don't do it justice. We loved every minute of our stay here. Lots of space, super comfortable, and amazing views from the deck. Kitchen was fully stocked, and we grilled out several nights. The beds were also very comfortable. Make sure you stock up on food ahead of time, not much around the area. We did go to the Snow Slip bar/grill just up the road one night.
We got the chance to talk with Robert in person the one morning, and that was a really interesting conversation. He's filled with all kinds of stories from the area, could have listened all morning.
If you're looking for a challenging hike look up Elk Mountain in Glacier National Park, you can hike the peak directly in view from the deck of the cabin. Great climb! Super fun to look back and see the cabin from the top.
Would highly recommend this cabin, you won't be disappointed. We all wished for more nights here.
Great cabin in a GREAT location
We had to switch our reservations to somewhere closer to East Glacier after the Howe Ridge Fire in August 2018. We chose this property and it was lovely. The house has a tremendous view and you can watch Amtrak and the freight trains cross the mountain in the far distance day and night from the deck. It is very close to Two Medicine and just a short drive away from St. Mary and Many Glacier. We were also able to visit West Glacier (about 45 minutes away). You can get both sides of the park and also visit some really great places on Route 2 (Izaak Walton Inn, Summit Restaurant, etc.). It is rural and charming, but you are 'on the grid' (I did have one bar on my phone!) and have neighbors close by, which made me feel super comfortable. Loved it, would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful home. Very comfortable and beautiful views.
We had a great experience staying at this home. The only issue we encountered was difficulty finding the home, which was compounded by the lack of cell phone service in the area. Make sure you have the directions printed before you go. Then you will be ready to relax and enjoy this wonderful home.
This vacation home exceeded our expectations. The secluded setting could not have been more beautiful; the forest and mountains views were spectacular. The frequent trains traveling through the mountains were an added visual treat. After hiking through Glacier during the day, it was so relaxing to rest and savor the comfort and peace of this home. Every amenity was available, it was clean and beautifully furnished. The owners and VRBO were quick to respond and exceeded our every expectation as well.
Perfect in All Ways
Great place to relax after long days of hiking and rafting. Enjoyed eating Family dinner on the deck while watching the day turn into evening and exchanging memories of the day's activities. Kitchen has all the essentials. Laundry was a blessing. Living Room is nicely decorated with comfy furniture. Easily accommodated our family of 5 adults. Definitely will stay here again on return trips to Glacier National Park.
This cabin has an excellent view of the Southern Mountains of Glacier Park.
