Forget your worries in this spacious and serene Private resort-like space. Not just a place to stay, we want you and your guest to have an experience! Enjoy a getaway from the City life to this 32 acre gorgeous home with lots of Privacy and amenities! NEW OUTDOOR HOT TUB COMING WINTER 2025 .. Absolutely gorgeous in the fall with colored foliage! House is nestled in the trees to create a gorgeous canvas! Also, Come enjoy the festive holiday season with famliy and friends in the decorated home as of November 8th. We will have Multiple lighted trees and plenty of holiday décor! Enjoy your favorite book or glass of wine as you relax by the gas fireplace gazing at the festive tree lights.

Pull up to beautiful grounds and plenty of outdoor area for exploring ! Picnic or star gaze under one of the Large Oak Trees on the property. There is a small pond on the property. It does contain some smaller fish. Feel free to bring your own equipment if you would like to fish.
(Seasonal) Memorial Day to Sept 16th , 2024. Enjoy the large Salt Water Heated private Inground Pool with small round area attached (we use this for the kids to swim in or just or relax and chat) surrounded by several seating areas to enjoy the serenity of the woods. Pool House is finished inside with Cedar Planks floor to ceiling with a bathroom. It also contains a large outdoor refrigerator for storing extra food and cold beverages. There is a screen porch attached to the pool house with comfy seating and a 65 inch TV for enjoyment. We have floating rafts and Pool toys for kids and supply pool towels ( one per person per visit) as well during pool season. Pool House will be open through the fall to enjoy the screen porch area.

Outside the fenced in and gated area we have a swing set for children to enjoy with picnic tables . There is also a large grassy area for cornhole and other outdoor games. (We Do supply one set of corn hole boards)

The 5200 sq foot House has an open concept main floor living area. There is a main floor master suite with views of the pool and wooded area, a Jetted jacuzzi tub, separate walk in tiled shower, and a large closet. Total of 5 BR with large comfy beds (4 Kings size and 1 Queen) and soft cotton linens. ALL Bedrooms have large Flat Screen TVs. 4 of the bedrooms have their own private bathroom attached. One of the bathrooms upstairs has a hallway door for the fifth bedroom to use as well.Fully Stocked Kitchen with Coffee and Coffee makers, some popular spices, Blendtec Blender, Toaster Oven, Crock Pot, Large Pots and pans, Baking sheets, Bake ware for the oven, and most all of the gadgets needed for baking and cooking. Another private screened- in porch is right off the kitchen with ample seating with view of the woods and pool area. Lower level has a Custom Bar and game room with Ping Pong table and Poker Table. The house is also equipped with other board games, toys for children, as well as a Pak and Play upon request. Theatre room has an 85 inch TV with Surround sound, theatre lighting, and Raised Seating with Leather recliners.

Roast Marshmallows outback or just sit back and enjoy our Fire pit with owner supplied wood for a cozy night time feel. Backyard landscape lighting will make the evening relaxing under the stars! A Propane grill is available for outdoor cooking.

Plenty of room on property for trailers and larger trucks to park.
Above the garage area has our farmhand in it at times. Please do not disturb.

Perfection for a relaxing family trip with children

Kim was a fabulous host; she thought of so many details to make our stay comfortable and easy and was exceptionally responsive to questions. The house is simply beautiful as are the surrounding grounds. Home, grounds and pool were all spotless. We were there with children ages 2-7 and the play area, pool, fire pit for s'mores and long driveway for bikes and scooters were all fabulous. Walking down to the small pond to look at the frogs and turtles was a favorite activity as well. You will drive a bit for activities in the area, but we enjoyed the rail trail for biking, a local playground and Kim's recommendation of the local park. Dinner on the Potomac the last night was beautiful which was selected from Kim's recommendations also. We may well be back. Thank you!

Family Vacatilln

We all had a great time at Shady Oak farm. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. The grandkids loved the theater room and we all spent a lot of time in the awesome pool and enjoyed the squirt gun wars and the cornhole. The beds were very comfortable. Kim was an awesome host and her husband quickly resolved a minor issue with the toilet in the pool house.

Great weekend!

We had a great stay at The Farm, and the accommodations were perfect for our group. The outdoor temps were SO high during our stay, so we spent most of our time in the pool - which was gorgeous and clean. Also, the property had great additions to make our trip with two toddlers really comfortable and fun. Check-in and checkout were simple and the host Kim was extremely responsive and helpful. I’d recommend having a high chair or booster seat on hand for future visitors. Also, we are a diverse group with folks from all walks of life - so the overtly pro-police cornhole set wasn’t a big hit. I’d reconsider that addition for future guests. Overall, our stay was amazing and everyone left feeling well-rested and happy. We’d love to book again in the future!

We would welcome you, your family and friends to enjoy the peace and serenity of the farm and as we like to call "the back yard resort" as well! All our guests say "it is like a resort here !" I thoroughly enjoy hosting and making your time here become a wonderful memory for you and your guests .

We love this area because of the peaceful feel....32 quiet acres of natural beauty. Birds, Turkeys, Deer, and more! We take lots of walks and have picnics under the trees making fun memories. We are also close enough to the shopping, restaurants, golfing, wineries and more. Plenty of historic landmarks not too far away for those history buffs as well.

What makes this property unique

Everyone who comes here says how beautiful and peaceful it is!! We love just being able to walk outside and see beautiful birds and wildlife.. and no cars, traffic ,or noise! The trees are spectacular! Some are registered in the historic trees of Maryland ! It is peaceful tranquility like no other! A great place for Outdoor Yoga, mediation, or just picnics!
