La villa es una moderna y lujosa casa de 200 m2 en el pueblo de Vogar, a solo 35 minutos en coche de Reykjavik, a 15 minutos del aeropuerto internacional de Keflavik, a 15 minutos de The Blue Lagoon y a una hora en coche de The Golden Circle. La villa tiene una vista panorámica del océano. Incluye tres habitaciones; uno con una cama King size y dos habitaciones con camas Queen.
Hay dos baños completos, un área de cocina abierta y espaciosa, una sala de estar luminosa con techos altos, grandes ventanas y una hermosa chimenea. Una sala de juegos se encuentra en el garaje con Legos y juguetes para los niños, así como camas supletorias (una queen y una individual).
El jardín tiene un gran patio frente al océano con chimenea, una gran parrilla, muebles de jardín y una bañera de hidromasaje para 5 personas. Hay un corto paseo desde el patio hasta el océano. Un campo de golf está a 8 minutos en coche, así como otros tres campos de golf a 30 minutos en coche.

The house was amazing. It was comfortable and we used the fireplace every night. We saw the aurora from the patio 2 nights. It was a great base for the Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon, and Reykjavik. The neighborhood was lovely for a walk at night. The host was very fast to respond to any questions. It was perfect!

The property was simply gorgeous. It was clean and spacious enough to fit 4 adults and 2 teenagers. We had everything we needed for our stay with an incredible view to wake up to every day. We loved having the seals visit and we nicknamed them Bubba and PeeWee. The location was also perfect to get to local attractions easily. Overall it was a fantastic experience!

This property had everything you need to be on vacation. They thought of everything. Location was key short drive to the city grocery store close by the views were amazing. Property sits on a walking path great for your morning walk. Communication with the landlords was fantastic.

Four of us wanted a comfortable place to launch our exploration of Iceland. This was such a wonderful place to do that from! Beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. It was convenient to the airport and to all of our destinations.

Felt Like Home

Our stay at this home was nothing short of exceptional. This was a special trip for our family, the first trip for my 3 children outside of the U.S., ergo, our first trip to Iceland. As a family of 5 with two teens and a young adult, it was important to have a home base for our week stay that had plenty of space but was also in a relaxed area. We picked this spot because it was close enough to Reykjavik for some of our excursions, without being in the middle of the city. But it was also just a short 10 minute drive from the Kronan grocery store near Keflavik. We fell in love with the community of Vogar. As a family from Maine who loves the ocean, being on the ocean was a huge plus. We enjoyed the walking path throughout the community. My teens loved walking around and playing with some of the neighborhood children at the school. Also, if you are a birder, this is a great spot because there is always a lot of duck and other bird activity in the ocean waters and on the shore. The house itself was amazing. We had one room for each of the kids. Lots of great space in the kitchen for making meals. A nice big dining table. We LOVED the showers in the bathrooms, the heated floors were welcome after an excursion. We loved the deck and patio section as well. Even though our week was mostly cloudy and rainy, we still took full advantage of that space to view the ocean and birds. It was an amazing stay and we look forward to returning in the near future!

Family Vacation

The house is spacious and comfortable. The view of the ocean from the house is beautiful. We saw a seal sunning on the rocks and plenty of birds. It was a great house to stay in while in Iceland.

Clean Great House with Easy Check-in and Check-Out

House was great with plenty of room for my wife and I as well as three adult children. Very easy check-in and out, house is well-supplied, great bedrooms and bathrooms, and close to Reykjavik and KEF Airport. Also, discovered great little small town nearby, Keflavik. (Check out Anton's Mamma Mia for dinner.) Also, just a few minutes from Blue Lagoon and The Golden Circle is also easily accessible. Home is in a quiet little neighborhood.

Vogar House

The home was very welcoming when we walked in. The decor was beautiful and enjoyed by everyone in our family. The piggy back bedroom was perfect for the group with two children. We all enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace, two bathrooms, close to the beach and the community foot paths. It was a perfect base to explore the peninsula. Thank you.

Located in a great town. Close to the airport and Reykjavík. Our only note was the third bedroom seemed to be under construction and located in the garage. Our family did not feel comfortable staying in that room. Everything else was great!

4 days in Vogar

Overall excellent choice for our short first visit to Iceland. Perfect location for exploring the SW corner. Only 20 minutes from the airport. Easy visits to the Blue Lagoon, Aurora Base Camp and Old Port Reykjavík. We even drove 3 hours to Vik and the black sand beach and waterfalls. House is perfect layout with high end fixtures and everything we needed for gadgets and laundry. Wife wanted to take the mbr shower with her, plenty of hot water and great pressure. Only wish we had more time and a little less wind and rain! Just means will be coming back!

The photos don't do it justice ...

Some of the friends arrived before me, and one messaged me to say, "The photos don't do it justice - it's wonderful!". The accommodation was everything we hoped for - clean, spacious, comfortable and with lovely art on the walls. It had all the equipment you could want and was peacefully located. The hot tub was also really warm and peaceful below the clear skies. It was also a great place for watching the Northern Lights on two of our four nights. Highly recommended!

Prime Iceland location!

This is a beautiful, well appointed house. Very warm and bright. Large windows overlooking the water. Convenient to Grindavik and Reykjavik, the Blue Lagoon, and the golden circle. The northern lights from the hot tub were a great relaxing way to spend the evening after a hike or other activities.Such a great property!

Beautiful and comfortable home for a trip of a lifetime.

This was our first time to Iceland and couldn't have chosen a more perfect home to stay in. The location was close to the Blue Lagoon, airport, grocery shopping, and the capital. We were very fortunate to see the northern lights 6 out of the 7 days we were there and mostly from the back deck of the house. I highly recommend this house if you're traveling with a group to Iceland!

Great Place/Great Location

The house is situated very conveniently between Keflavik and Reykjavik. Keflavik is a great place to go for a nice little strip of great restaurants and a few grocery stores in an area that is less crowded and only 15 minutes away. Reykjavik has a bunch of great restaurant and shopping options. The view was incredible as the side of the house facing the coast is well windowed. The house itself was very nice and very spacious. Even with 6 adults it felt like we had plenty of space to spread out. The owners were very easy to communicate with and checked in to see how we were doing, even going so far as to bring more coffee pods for the machine. We had an excellent stay and I highly recommend this property.

Great Iceland Vacation home

Had a wonderful time staying in Vogar with our four adult children and 2 year old granddaughter and six month old granddaughter. This beautiful place accommodated all us perfectly. So close to everything and we were able to cook quite a few meals (mainly breakfast) vs going out for all of them. Thank you for the beautiful stay.

Super lækkert hus, plads til os alle 8 (indretning af værelser fine og rene). Fantastisk at man ikke skulle medbringe noget selv, det hele var i huset, håndklæder, opvaskemiddel, sengetøj, viskestykker, staniol, husholdningsfilm, køkkenrulle osv. Ind og udendørsbadning blev brugt flittigt, samt brugen af gas grill. Kan klart anbefales til andre at benytte enten som enkelt familie men er også godt indrettet til flere families hus. Det eneste minus ved huset var den manglende rengøring af emhætte, ovn og køkkenskuffer, ellers var der ikke noget st sætte en finger på.

Fabulous Property and Host

We visited from the United States for 11 nights. This is a fabulous property, and exactly as listed. The property was very clean, and the host was very considerate, and providing all items that could possibly be needed from laundry detergent to extra pillows I am very glad that we stayed here instead of staying in the capital which was very busy. This is a short drive from the capital but a world away with the house being on the ocean front and very peaceful and relaxing. The host was very responsive in all questions and concerns we had. This was our first time using Vrbo and I am afraid now I am spoiled. Thanks for everything. We had a wonderful stay.

The hosts have an amazing property centrally located between the airport and Reykjavík. The home was furnished with every amenity you could possibly want. They truly thought of everything and were very responsive to all of our questions. The last night of our stay , the Northern Lights danced right over the property culminating a great family vacation. Wonderful location and hosts

We had such a lovely time staying at Johanna’s place. We had two 2 year olds with us and she left out toys for them and a crib, it was so kind. The place was beautiful and in a beautiful location. Quiet but close to Reykjavík. We would definitely recommend. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Great family property for our first visit to Iceland.

Nice house for a family. Nice and quiet neighborhood with easy access to the southern sites. We got very fortunate to see the northern lights from the property. Kim Yong wings is a great local place for dinner and drinks. The fourth bedroom is in the garage and may be tough for young kids.

My family and I have lived in Vogar for the past 23 years. We build this house ourselves in 2001-2003. I work in the building industry as a finance manager and my husband works as a project manager in the same company.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

When we made the decision to build our house we were determined to be close to the ocean. The location we found is just perfect, only a a few steps from the house to the water with a breathtaking panorama view of the ocean. The outside hot tub is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the views as well as the beautiful northern lights during winter time.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We love the location of our house, being so close to the ocean and away from the hustle and bustle of a big city. The whole west side of the house has huge windows and doors facing the ocean so nothing hinders the amazing views. In the evenings the water is calm and beautiful. It´s a great place to catch the northern lights in winter time.
