La suite de concepto abierto cuenta con su propia entrada privada con cama queen, así como un sofá cama queen-hide-a-bed y baño de tres piezas. Ropa de cama y baño están incluidos. La cocina está completa con barra de nevera / congelador, microondas, horno tostador, cafetera Tassimo junto con platos, cubiertos y utensilios. El televisor de alta definición con pantalla ancha de 37 "y el reproductor de DVD y cable están acompañados de WiFi seguro y gratuito.

Wonderful stay...Gerry and Patty were wonderful hosts, always asking what more they could do for us. Suite was fully stocked even with some special snack items for us to enjoy! Patty very kindly provided my 4 year old granddaughter a basket of books and a doll to play with during our visit and she was thrilled. Wouldnt hesitate to stay here again!

Perfect little quiet spot by the river in Mitchell

This was a perfect little spot, right by the river. The space is exactly as described in the listing. It has all that one needs, and a well furnished kitchen. The location is nice, right on the river and the trails. It is quiet and cozy. The host are fabulous and very helpful and willing to provide anything needed. The pool is lovely. We didn’t use it, but they had bikes to lend and kayaks. I would highly recommend staying there. We had a wedding in the area and honestly we would mostly out, but it was a great place to come back to and recharge.

Peaceful oasis

We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful place to enjoy a week away from home. We enjoy Stratford festival so much but have stayed in some busy areas that were cramped for us both to work during the day. Gerry and Patty were wonderful hosts that thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. We arrived very late the first night but there were snacks and glorious muffins to enjoy with morning coffee so we had time to relax before heading out for the day. The path along the water and the pool were beautiful. It was such a nice garden getaway from our busy city life. I’d return in a heartbeat. Mercedes & Dan

Heron’s Nest - Awesome!

We chose this property to be close to Stratford. What a lovely surprise! It was comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed, and even everything we didn’t realize we needed! The pool area was a wonderful oasis, where we spent a few hours. Gerry and Patty were so warm and friendly and helpful! We are so pleased at having chosen to stay here, and we will be back for sure anytime we venture to Stratford. Thank you so much!

Spectacular stay near Stratford, Ontario!

My husband and I spent a relaxing 9 nights at Gerry and Patty's cozy studio on the banks of the Thames River, about 20 minutes from the Shakespeare Festival. In addition to being gracious and welcoming hosts, they were tremendous sources of good information on restaurants, local stores and parking near the Festival. The pool on the property is a wonderful bonus; it is covered with a solar blanket which keeps the water not too warm, not too cold-refreshing and perfect for laps, exercise or just hanging. Kayaks, a canoe and bikes are also available. The property is right on the river and there is a nature trail that goes around it. Good for walking, visiting the small zoo on the opposite shore (there's an albino Peacock!). Bed was super comfortable, linens, towels (so many towels!) provided and the kitchen was fully stocked-they even provided milk and muffins to start our first morning off right. Well stocked bathroon-all kinds of shampoos, q tips, swabs, first aid kit and toothpaste to mention a few of the amenities. The gardens are well-planned and peaceful with soft wind chimes. We could not have asked for a better accomodations for our first trip to Stratford. We'll be back! Barbara and Michael Brooklyn NY

Beautiful

This property is close enough to Stratford to enjoy the festival and all the town has to offer, and far enough away to be a haven for your getaway. Next to a nature trail and water, there is activity available right outside your door. The pool, deck and barbecue were available for swimming, resting, and dining al fresco. Gerry and Pat are gracious and helpful hosts. We visited in summer, but this property would be a good getaway destination is any season.

A perfect stay

We had a wonderful two nights stay to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The studio was very clean, well appointed and the hosts Patty and Gerry were amazing. The use of their beautiful pool was a huge draw for us, and we relaxed for two days in the sunshine and water. The views and neighborhood trail were great too. Thank you for a lovely visit. We will definitely be back.

The quiet getaway paradise

We were parents looking for a quiet weekend away from the kids. This property was absolutely perfect! We had the perfect mixture of privacy and social interactions with the hosts. It was located 3 minutes from the golf course. They are right on the river with access to a bike path and boat launch. There’s even a little petting zoo and park nearby - cute hearing the peacocks and donkeys occasionally throughout the day. The hosts were able to offer access to their canoes, kayaks, bikes and pool - it was so much more than just a suite rental. Would 10/10 recommend and am so grateful to have found it for a great price so last minute.

Perfect hideout

My wife and I enjoyed our stay - if you don't need 'tons of space' and you want a little hideout (bathroom/shower/kitchenette/seatingarea/bed) - a few steps from nature and with access to larger outdoor spaces everywhere this one will suit you well. Our hosts were kind and helpful, but also respected our privacy. It was nice knowing they were there if we needed anything, but we felt completely free to enjoy our weekend and come and go as we wanted. Beautiful area - kind hosts. This was exactly what my wife and I needed

A gem!

A fabulous getaway! The property description and the positive reviews do not exaggerate. Everything is as described, and then some. The rental unit is comfortable, clean, and well-equipped (including good quality bed linens and towels). The pool is a great bonus. Again, clean and very well-kept, with lots of seating and tables, lounge chairs, and access to a refrigerator nearby to keep your beverages cold. This was a perfect spot to be close to Stratford to take in a few shows at the Festival and some excellent dining, yet still be able to experience the tranquil simplicity of the natural surroundings of Mitchell (walking trails right at the doorstep). Gerry and Patty are beautiful hosts--so friendly, easygoing, and helpful. They are the real star attractions at this venue! (Thanks for sharing your fresh corn--a delicious treat!) Great Find

Pleasant little nest. All we needed for our visit to Stratford to see seven plays. Fridge, microwave and coffe maker were useful! The TV was great for the olympics and we borrowed the canoe for an up river paddle. It has a nice walk along River Thames. Loved the perennial garden entrance.

Delightful setting, comfy and convenient as well

Our second stay in this comfy garden apartment. Convenient to Stratford for the Festival. Pretty setting on the Thames River with a nature path at our door leading to downtown Mitchell and to nearby parks. Enjoyed birding along the path and at a nearby marsh. Cheerful, friendly hosts took good care of us.

Patty & Gerry Kehl are semi-retired (we won’t ever fully retire) business professionals. We love to travel and explore new parts of the world. We have experienced the pleasure of staying in private properties in our travels and have converted the lower level of our home into a private Studio suite that reflects what we expect and enjoy when we travel.
Both Patty and Gerry are involved in the community. Gerry is a charter member and past president of the Rotary Club of Mitchell and served on municipal council; six years as a councilor and four years as Deputy Mayor. Patty is a charter member of the Energy and Environment Committee and an active creator and organizer of many community betterment programs including a garden co-op.

We built our home here in Mitchell (only 15 minutes from Stratford) on the banks of the Thames River over 48 years ago. As you will see by the pictures it is our home, our summer cottage and our winter chalet all wrapped up into one.
