Originally from the UK, but moved to Sydney for work in 1997. Now retired, we spend half the year in London and half in Sydney. Competitive yacht racing is my passion and when in Sydney I race regularly out of the world famous Cruising Yacht Club of Australia which is about 10 minutes away from home
Why they chose this property
Potts Point is a fantastic locale. It has great public transport connections into the centre of the city and to the Eastern suburbs harbour and ocean beaches. The City itself is also a pleasant 30 minute walk, most of which is across parkland.
The area is also now also blessed with some fantastic restaurants and wine bars and has some fantastic Art Deco architecture.
Our home is on a lovely leafy tree-lined street which, while in easy walking distance to all the wine bars and restaurants, and the train station, is quiet.

What makes this property unique
At 96 square metres ( 1033 square feet ) our home is large for a two bedroomed apartment. It is open plan and has high ceilings which makes it very bright and airy. Both bedrooms are good size double bedrooms.
We have also recently installed reverse cycle air conditioning throughout apartment which again is unusual for the area as while many properties have air conditioning in the lounge, the bedrooms do not which can make for some very uncomfortable humid nights in the summer. - not a problem in our home.
