I am a long time SF resident and love my international city and helping others discover its beauty and nooks and crannies. This neighborhood is one of the few areas where you really don't need a car and everyone is safe strolling at all times.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2009

Why The Owner chose Marina District

I love walking by the waterfront for sunsets and never tire of looking at the GG bridge. This is my favorite neighborhood with gorgeous views that everyone thinks of when they see pictures of San Francisco. Neighborhood has a fun vibe with lots of fabulous restaurants, wine bars and shops.

What makes this condo unique

Unique and private garden setting. Beautiful architecture, quiet neighborhood with postcard-like vistas everywhere you look. First floor (so no stairs to climb either). Walking distance to main attractions or San Francisco.

Thanks for the stay at your VRBO unit this past week. We had a wonderful time in SF and the location could not been more ideal. Walking to the bay for sun rise & sun set were a real treat for us. On our last day we walked the Golden Gate Bridge.



We will always remember this stay and highly recommend to all we meet.

Perfect getaway to San Francisco

This was a perfect location for my husband and me to revisit the part of San Francisco where we lived over 40 years ago. The bus to the Golden Gate Bridge is just 2 blocks away, then we walked back along the waterfront, stopping for hot chocolate at the visitor center. Another time we walked past Ghirardelli Square and Fisherman's Wharf along the water to the Ferry Building for lunch, returning home through North Beach and Russian Hill. Great restaurants on Chestnut Street are just a 10-minute walk away. We felt like locals again. One night we ate in the apartment and shopped at Safeway 2 blocks away. Perfect. Very quiet at night -- no problem sleeping. Hope to return soon.

Nice place in Marina

Overall we enjoyed our experience at the garden apartment as well as the location. We tried a couple of restaurants that turned out to be very good and in walking distance.

The property is more of a studio than a one bedroom but very spacious and well equipped. It would however not be suitable for people to be sleeping at different times as the bed is in the main room.

Otherwise all was great and the bed was fine with us as it was just the two of us and we all went to bed at same time.

Owner's Response: I am so glad you liked my place. It is listed as having 0 bedrooms and therefore a studio as there is no designation for studio otherwise so perhaps that caused confusion. Also at 800 sq ft it is so large it is as large as many 1 bedroom apts which is always a pleasant surprise for guests.

Great location and comfortable studio apt.

We loved the location of Laura's home, it was close to a lot of fun places we could walk to. We really enjoyed having the outdoor patio space and felt very comfortable and welcomed by Laura. We will definetly come back if we are able to.

Stunning water location

Laura was the perfect host . She met us on arrival , showed us the property and was on hand to offer tips on where to go locally to make the most of our stay. The property was immaculately presented and all we had expected. It is close to the marina, Fort Mason and a short ride to all that San Francisco has to offer.

Wine country is an hour and 15 min. away if you want to visit. Easy to catch cabs - no need for car.
