Why choose our home?

We realize there are many great rentals available on the Cape. We wanted to create a vacation rental that we would want to rent -- and go back to year after year. What makes our house distinctive? One of the most important parts of your vacation is 'R&R' -- rest and relaxation. We've rented plenty of places with old, uncomfortable beds. All of our bedrooms feature new, super comfortable memory foam mattresses. Renters have even asked us where we bought them -- they slept so comfortably, they wanted one for their own home! We don't think many other places can make that claim.

Our home features everything you'd want in a comfortable and relaxing Cape Cod vacation. Start with a large, clean, open living space on a quiet cul-de-sac -- just steps from the bike path and biking distance to the beach. You'll love our front porch -- complete with porch swing and rockers - perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, good friends or a good book! The fenced-in back yard features a comfy hammock and a dining table and chairs - and a roomy, new outdoor shower!

The main floor provides plenty of space to spread out or entertain. An oversized kitchen holds everything you need to cook a gourmet feast - and the dining area easily seats 8. Or relax with your morning coffee or afternoon tea in the large stuffed chairs!

The den offers additional space to relax, nap, or hold overflow guests.

The large, front-to-back master bedroom features cathedral ceilings, a ceiling fan, window air conditioner, a king-sized four poster bed, and walk-in closet. The second and third bedrooms each feature a queen sized bed, ceiling fan and window air conditioners, with a futon in the third bedroom for overflow guests.

In addition to the new, memory foam mattresses, you'll find plenty of pillows, new bedding, and the mattresses all have 6-sided dust and bug protectors. Extra sheets, towels, and beach towels are available for your use too -- we only ask that you leave them as you found them -- clean and put away!

In our home, we've done our best to provide you with just about everything you need to make your vacation perfect. In addition to 'the basics,' we've added many of the 'finishing touches' you often wish a vacation rental had - things like spare beach towels, backpacks, tennis rackets, many kitchen basics including spices, foils, wraps, and more.

Add a quiet cul-de-sac, awesome biking on the bike path or to Cape Cod's National Seashore, and relaxing in a rocker on our great front porch -- you'll have a truly unforgettable vacation!

Check, Credit Card or Pay Pal accepted.

About Peg & Dave Berry

We're happy you're considering a stay at our house! We have rented in Cape Cod many times and we've tried to incorporate all the things we loved about the places we've rented - and a little bit more - here in our Cape house. We bought 115 Saltwinds in July 2013, and our goal is to make it a little better every year! We welcome your feedback!

Peg & Dave Berry purchased this house in 2013

Why Peg & Dave Berry chose Cape Cod

We chose this house because we love the location -- we want to be close to the National Seashore. Since we're active people, we also love the proximity to the bike path, and that we can bike or run to the beach. We also love the front porch and spend many quiet evenings and early morning there, rocking on the porch swing. Even on the hottest days, you can usually catch a cool breeze and a birdsong!

Also - we love Eastham! So many great beaches to choose from - and a little less developed than some areas of the Cape - yet only a short drive to P'town, Hyannis, Chatham and Wellfleet!

What makes this house unique

We think what makes our home special is that it's just comfortable. When you're on vacation you want to have a lot of fun, and also relax! So do that! Kick back, relax, and put your feet up! Whether on the hammock, on the porch, or in one of our comfy beds ... we hope you have a great vacation!

115 Saltwinds is less than 2 miles by road (or about a mile and a half as the crow flies) from beautiful Nauset Light beach, and about 2-1/2 miles from world-famous Coast Guard beach and the peaceful bay beaches. When we're on vacation, we try to go to the beach every day!

But if you're not an everyday beachgoer, Eastham has so much more to offer ... and so much of it is right along the bike path - just 1/4 mile away! So bring your bikes, rent some (or borrow one of ours) and explore! You won't be disappointed!

Like to hike? Be sure to check out the Fort Hill trails in Eastham, or the Audobon trails in Wellfleet.

Our home is also about a 30 minute drive from Provincetown, Hyannis, or Chatham -- and Downtown Wellfleet and Orleans Center are both just 10 minutes away.

No matter your pleasure, you're sure to have a great time, rain or shine.

We had a great time. Location convenient to everything. All necessities provided.

  • 5 of 5

We had so much fun at the Berry house. The location made it easy to go to both the Ocean side and Bay side beaches. Plenty of thinks to do close by. We enjoyed a boat ride out of Orleans as well as the fireworks. Took the bike path to Arnold's for ice cream and mini golf. Took in the Wellfleet drive in. The National Parks Association offers tons of activities we partook in the campfire on the beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The house had room for our family and guests and didn't feel crowded at all. Our kids want to stay the whole summer.

The Gem of The Cape !!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the house for a mid-winter getaway to take in the beauty of the Cape in the offseason. We were delighted with every aspect of this house, and were impressed with its overall cleanliness, comfort and charm. The home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, and only minutes away from the beaches, restaurants, and shops. The 1st floor has a wonderful open layout, while the bedrooms upstairs were simply beautiful and offered the same levels of comfort as home. This is truly a home-away-from-home that we would gladly look to stay at again

The property is an exceptional value and delivered on every written promise.

  • 4 of 5

The Berry property is an excellent value and delivered on the promise of an outstanding experience. The mid-Cape location is perfect for a broad and convenient Cape Cod experience. The property was safe and fit like a glove. The kitchen, dining and living room space was perfect for the gathering of our family. The kitchen was fully functional and easy to entertain. The WIFI was strong, but more importantly, the front porch was a place of rest and peace. The bed rooms featured a large master and memory foam beds of good sleeping comfort. The property was clean, convenient and felt like home. The Berry's wrote and called to support our needs. We had no logistical issues to find, enter and live during our stay. We left personal comments in the Berry's memory book, but we are thankful to the Berry's for an excellent hosting experience.

Best,

Jack Field

Wonderful home

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was wonderful. The one thing we missed having was a clothesline to hang our towels and suits up after a day at the beach. Thanks to the Berry's for great hospitality

Just a perfect place

  • 5 of 5

Pictures don't lie but they also don't do justice to this lovely home. I have vacationed in rentals home for many years and never before have I stayed in one that has been so well equipped and attentive to the travelers needs. From the inviting front porch where mornings were spent chilling before starting our day to the game area which become computer central as we set up our laptops to share pics at the end of the day- everything was great. It's also a wonderful location - First Encounter Beach is spot on, especially for those who might an issue with distance walking. Provincetown gave us the most amazing whale watching trip. And on the way back, if you like Italian food - stop at Montano's .. amazeballs. We will be back next year.. if we can wait that long ;)

Perfect Family-friendly home

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful house in a great location! The house was clean, well-kept, comfortable, spacious, and well-supplied. We had all of the comforts of home. The house is very conveniently located mid-cape allowing for quick trips to both Hyannis and Provincetown and is within 5 minutes of ocean and bay beaches. Peg Berry responded to all of my questions about our stay quickly and in detail. Our stay at the Berry home truly exceeded our family's expectations. We are already planning to return next year. I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to vacation on the Cape.
