My wife and I had a wonderful vacation and truly enjoyed our stay at this amazing property. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the peaceful setting made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Andrew was a fantastic host—courteous, kind, and always responsive. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway with top-notch hospitality, this is the place to be. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
Wonderful respite by the sea. Simple and old fashioned cottage in the most beautiful way. Comfortable, but reminiscent of years gone by. Owners were wonderful and quick with communication. Location can’t be beat.
The house was all it was advertised to be, and more. The beach was beautiful and secluded and the views from the porch were unparalleled. We will definitely be back.
If you're looking for a charming, rustic cottage away from the crowds of Martha's Vineyard, this is the place for you. Comfortable, beautiful ocean view, and a quick walk to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of the place.
We were so glad when Andrew advised the cottage was available the week that we wanted to return. We’ve written reviews previously about our wonderful stay on the island and the cottage. Highly recommend
Private, quaint, clean and bright summer cottage with spectacular views
A lovely deck right off of the kitchen where we had coffee every morning and read our books until our children woke up.
Amazing walks on the beach a minute or two from the cottage with cliffs reflecting colors of natural minerals just below the lighthouse perch snd views of the chain of Elizabeth islands.
Definitely one of our favorite family vacations!
This is a cute, clean and well stocked cottage that was just right for our family of 5. There was plenty of space for the kids to play games and do crafts inside, but we spent most of our time outdoors. The private beach lot access was a generous part of the rental perks and saved the somewhat lengthy hike to Moshup Beach from the public parking lot with 3 young children. Without all the beach stuff, we walked to the beach from the cottage, all the way around the cliffs, up to the shops for lunch, toured the lighthouse, then walked to the cottage along the road. Andrew was very responsive with any questions or concerns. The suggestion about purchasing groceries on the way in makes a lot of sense given the remoteness of the location, but we made the trip into town after arriving and it was not a big deal. One thing to note is that the beach below the house is clothing optional, not a huge deal either, but just an unexpected conversation with the kids! We would definitely return!
Andrew and Ann were wonderful hosts - they provided helpful tips for the cottage and even brought us a new BBQ grill during our stay because the prior one had rusted. Their cottage is a tranquil oasis overlooking the Sound. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked and the deck was a perfect place to enjoy our meals. We loved the private access to the beaches in Aquinnah, including being able to walk to the beach right in front of the house. We really cannot recommend this cottage highly enough! We hope to be back.
Amazing views, just a bike short bike ride to beaches!
We loved the early morning sunrises while we enjoyed coffee and breakfast! Our toddler loved the large living space to play in. We enjoyed biking to the beaches!
Everything we hoped for. Beautiful view, comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, good internet, excellent communication with Andrew. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Our small family (2 adults, 1 3 year old) had a wonderful stay in the cottage. The description and photos are very accurate and was exactly what we were looking for - well appointed, functional, and clean. The gated access to Moshup beach is amazing - we tried a few other beaches, and kept coming back because there was no place more pristine or beautiful. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with pots/pans/utensils (there is even a blender and a food processor). The view is truly phenomenal - our favorite activity was to watch the water and the stars. As other reviewers have noted, the house is 35+ minutes from the towns (restaurants, stores, etc.), which was fine for us, but potential renters should make sure that is what you are looking for.
Our family stayed here for a week in late May. The house is very clean and well maintained. Access to the beach under the cliffs is extremely easy and close, perfect sunset views every night. The "key beach" at Moshup is outstanding, an extremely unique and rare experience to be able to spend a day there. Owner Andrew is fantastic - very communicative, prompt, and helpful . We can't wait to come back!
