Manhattan, MT has a population of 1500 people and is a small and quiet town located 18 miles from Bozeman, MT. Great neighbors and all basic services (grocery, athletic club, park, restaurants, post office) are within walking distance - including fly fishing on Gallatin River!
Great Horned Owls in the neighborhood and occasionally hanging out in the yard.
We enjoyed our stay. We have small kids and loved that this house was close to a park and really close to a fair number of trails, state parks, and other fun things for everyone.
This is a beautiful renovated home on a gravel (yes gravel) street 300 yds form the "center" of Manhattan Montana. Other than the trains (which you will get used to) it is as peaceful and quite as any place I have ever stayed. A nice kitchen to cook in if you want and you can mingle with the locals at a grocery store a 5 minute walk away.
If you want a wonderful small town experience this is it.
Stayed here recently on a hunting trip to MT. The house was clean, comfortable and had nearly everything we needed as a "home away from home."
Had a great time staying here. We are 4 sisters that had not been together for over 8 years. We had a good time of reminiscing of years ago. There is family also in the area and this worked so well for us. Everything we needed was there. It is only a couple of blocks from the middle of this quiet little town but about 20 or 30 minutes from shopping, hiking and sight seeing and restaurants. There is a small restaurant right in Manhattan also. We loved the rustic decor that also was very practical. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place.
Loved the property. It was our favorite stay of the three houses we rented for our Yellowstone vacation. House was fully furnished with everything we needed and the upstairs loft was delightful. Great house for our family of 4 adults and 2 kids.
Nice walk/bike down to the Gallatin River on a paved trail along Dry Creek road. Approx 5mi round trip from house.
