About Wendy McKinley
My husband and I have our own graphic design firm in the SF bay area. We have three children ranging in age from 18 to 11.
Wendy McKinley purchased this House in 2004
Why Wendy McKinley chose Trail
The house has been in the family for years. We have been visiting several times a year since.
What makes this House unique
This is our place to get away from it all but its not so remote that there is nothing to do. We can be at great mexican food on the river in a few minutes.
Sports & Adventure Activities
This is a wonderful vacation home right on the Rogue River. The house was immaculate, and well stocked with spices, condiments, and the kitchen was well supplied. Nice and easy to use TV for watching and recording sporting events. Easy access to fishing. Roomy. Owners generally answered inquiries promptly. We would like to use this wonderful place again.
A perfect getaway
I had thought about renting this house earlier this year, but decided against it when I heard I should keep the dogs away from the river because the current is strong and that I couldn't fish from the river for the same reason. I rented elsewhere in Shady Cove back then and really appreciated that house, but nothing could compare to the week I just had at this one. It was fantastic. I took the dogs to the river and they did just fine. They had the BEST time staying on this property and jumping in and out of the river. Neighbors dogs came to visit every day and they would all play. I had family come visit and they had the best time too. It is secluded and private, but not so much so that you feel isolated. It is only a couple miles from town. It is easy to get to if you pay attention to the directions and has very easy access into the house. Wendy was available immediately with any questions I had. There was not one thing I needed that wasn't there. It was the most fully stocked house I have rented. Even the refrigerator had all the condiments one would need. A couple shades didn't work and a deep cleaning is in order, but it was nothing that affected my visit. The house is on a dirt road, but can easily be driven to by any type of car. I felt very safe and comfortable and highly recommend this property. I will for sure be going back again. Shady Cove is a great town and it is easy to drive to Ashland, Medford or Jacksonville for some shopping, or lunch or dinner. There are many guides that can take you down the river fishing or rafting. This place leaves nothing to be desired. It has it all. Thank you, Wendy.
Checks all the boxes
Always a great time. Property is just like home. Could live there.
Relaxing and Peaceful
The home was very comfortable and cozy. We all felt right at home. We were planning on eating out more but we had all the ammenties for eating some good meals at home, so we did plus we had the beautiful and quiet surrounding. We are golfers and even with a bad day at the course's we had this beautiful peace of property to come home to.
Off the Grid
Beautiful home with the river running outside. It was great to hear the honked geese fly by. The home is beautiful inside. We loved finding the game closet for the kids. The kitchen was well accommodating. Peaceful place to stay.
Shady Cove-Rogue River Escape-Property 380017
My family and my brother in laws family stayed at this property during the winter
break 2016, right after Christmas and before New Years. It is an absolutely lovely house,
wonderful property for daily walks by the river and cute little town. The owner, Wendy
was above and beyond top notch with supplying a beautiful home stocked with pretty
much anything and everything a family with children could want or need and her attention
to her guests was phenomenal. Her response to any question was answered positively
within the day (I dare say within hours). When we venture to Oregon again (which we will
as that is where my bro in law lives) we WILL ABSOLUTELY rent this again. In my mind
there is NO need to look into any other rental. Kathy Kindorf
