Our stay was excellent. The house is extremely well equipped for families and in a great location. Cleanliness was top tier and overall it provided for a very inviting and comfortable week.
My family had a great time at this house! The layout was super cool and all the windows made for great viewing; we loved that you could see the ski slopes from the porch and also saw deer every day we were there. The fireplace in the lower level got super hot, which was great and the whole family enjoyed all the retro video games. The kitchen was more stocked than anywhere else we’ve visited and everything was labeled, which was super helpful. We definitely plan on returning!
This was a great place to enjoy it a family getaway and a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. It was enjoyable for all ages, from young children, their parents and grandparents. The addition of electronic games and board games brought the family together and made great memories.
Such a beautiful and unique cabin! The retro arcade was a huge hit with our group! Fantastic communication from the host before, during, and after our stay. Would definitely stay here again!
Excellent host, location, and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Host was very responsive and helpful, would absolutely recommend staying here!
Loved our stay! Very clean with great view of the ski slopes. Loved the retro vibe as it took us back to childhood. Host was very responsive. Would recommend and would stay there again.
We had a great time staying in this stylish and funky mountain home. Well appointed and stocked with everything you need for a comfy stay. We really enjoyed the expansive decks and views from the tree-tops.
We had the best time at Alonna’s place! Check-in and check-out were a breeze and there was great communication throughout with the host. We booked this home for a last-minute family ski trip with our 2 boys and dog the early part of Christmas break and it was perfect! Great house with all the amenities and thoughtful decor to both celebrate and update the retro vibe. It’s location overlooks the slopes and the home was decorated for Christmas, which was such a lovely and cozy touch! It was perfectly located for going to the resort and coming back home for breaks. And the arcade was an absolute hit with our boys and a throwback to our childhoods. The kids are already saying this was one of our best trips ever and are asking when we can go back. Highly recommended!
We absolutely adored this property. The layout was conducive to enjoying time together and also having privacy when needed. The outdoor space is amazing. We spent a lot of time on the deck! The house had all the amenities you could want. The host was gracious and responsive. If we revisit the area, we would 100% choose this property again.
Great location, quick to respond communication with host, pretty level parking, very clean, well stocked kitchen, plenty of seating upstairs and down, comfortable beds, spacious, huge deck with good amount of seating (a couple more comfy seats would be nice), exactly as pictured, no ceiling fans so no circulating air-(really the only negative) bunk room was warmest room 10/10 recommend. The resort had so much to do. You can hike right there as well. Love this house.
The property was very well maintained and was in a great location; only a short drive to apple orchards, a lavender farm, breweries and wineries, Luray Caverns, and Shenandoah national park. The property was well set up for my family with small kids and our dogs. This is an amazing family vacation house!

Thank you, Lee! So glad to hear you all enjoyed your spring break at the Massanutten Classic!
We came to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday in the Shenandoah Valley. I selected Alonna's beautiful home because of the fabulous reviews, pictures and the convenience to the highlights we wanted to visit. Was not disappointed at all...she had everything there, the beds were so comfortable and the resort amazing. Thank you for opening your home to us and for a wonderful stay. Definitely will be coming back.
The house was amazing, clean and a perfect spot for our extended weekend getaway! The communication with the host was top notch and the home looked just like the pictures portrayed. Our kids loved the game room and are already asking to go back to the “red house on the hill.”

Why they chose this property
This area offers the best of both worlds: a mountain setting surrounded by nature, paired with easy access to fun, family-friendly activities.
The setting is peaceful and scenic without feeling remote or isolated. Mountain views are beautiful year-round, and it’s common to spot local wildlife right from the property. Hiking trails are close by for easy outdoor adventures. Shenandoah National Park is just a short drive away, making it easy to enjoy Skyline Drive’s breathtaking views from the comfort of your car.
Additionally, Massanutten offers a variety of activities for all ages. Younger kids enjoy the waterpark, mini golf, and bumper cars, while older kids love the arcades, go-karts, and winter sports. Adults can take advantage of golfing and other resort amenities, while couples on a romantic getaway can unwind at the boutique spa and enjoy cozy restaurants together.
Lastly, another reason to love this location is its convenience. While it feels like a mountain retreat, you’re still just a short drive from restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, and other essentials. The balance between nature, activities, and accessibility is what makes this area so special and why it's so enjoyable to share with guests.
What makes this property unique
What makes our property unique is the way it combines a comfortable mountain getaway with easy access to everything Massanutten has to offer. The home is designed to feel warm, welcoming, and practical for families, couples, and groups who want both relaxation and adventure. Guests can enjoy the peaceful setting, spread out comfortably, bring their pets along, and still be close to resort activities, hiking, wineries, breweries, restaurants, and Shenandoah National Park.
We’ve tried to make the space feel like more than just a place to sleep. It’s a home base for making memories, whether guests are skiing, hiking, exploring the valley, spending time together, or simply enjoying a slower pace in the mountains.
