Great place to stay for large group

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of eight that stayed at this lovely house and everyone was happy with everything. The location is quiet and beautiful, the house is accommodating and had almost everything you could need or want. We went to Acadia and/or Bar Harbor every day and it was an easy drive with no traffic. Sunsets from the deck were beautiful and the fire pit was fun. The bald eagles flew past most days, and the seals made themselves known both day and night! We would definitely recommend this house to anyone traveling to the area.

Great house! Highly recommended.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of seven thoroughly enjoyed the week at Kissick Point. The house was clean and well stocked, beds/linens were very comfortable and the location was perfect. The kids enjoyed waking up and walking along the beach, watching the tide come in and searching for shells and rocks. Grocery stores are nearby and the drive to Acadia was about 20 minutes. The back porch was the perfect spot to have a morning cup of coffee. We also loved the outdoor fire pit! The owners were thoughtful, provided us with great tips and communicated with us in a timely manner. Overall, one of our best vacation rentals!

Spacious house on a tranquil, water-front property

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six had room to spare and enjoyed every day of our week on the property. The kitchen is fully equipped. Additionally, the house is clean and the surrounding property is private and quiet.

Great House with Great Views

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at Kissick Point. The house was well maintained and has fantastic views of the bay. We saw Bald Eagles and Seals almost every day. The way the house is setup, every bedroom has a terrific view of the water. The location is remote and quiet, but still close enough to stores and sight seeing. The only (small) negative I could say is none of the bedrooms had alarm clocks. Like most people, I use my cell phone as an alarm clock so I didn't think of this as a problem. But what I learned about being so far east is that the sun rises early. There were several days where I thought it must be at least 8:30 when I woke up only to reach for my phone and see it was 5:45. An alarm clock that I could just glance at without having to reach for my phone and press some buttons would have been nice so I could have just told my brain "too early, back to bed." Otherwise, the house was clean, well maintained, had plenty of room, and terrific views. I highly recommend this house if you're looking for a great place to stay in Maine.

Beautiful and Serene!

  • 5 of 5

As a family that is growing with grandchildren and a grand-dog, we have been coming to Maine for almost 20 years. Daria and Scott's Maine home is a little bit of heaven on earth. Not only did it accommodate all 10 of us but also Gus, our dog who found the enclosed yard and nearby woods pure delight. The house is architecturally beautiful and allows sunlight and incredible views of the river and bay throughout the house. As avid hikers, we love Acadia National Park and found that it was a mere 20 minutes away. We also kayaked in the afternoon and watched seals bob their heads above the surface from time to time. Daria and Scott left us with all the essentials to cook dinner at home most nights. Our last evening meal with our family was simply wonderful as we ate salmon and mussels while sharing the week's memories and watching the sunset behind the pines. There is also a fire pit which we gathered around most nights to make somores and watch our grandchildren delight in the simple pleasures of watching sparks dance. This vacation home is stunning, warm and wonderful and invites you to come together as a family and disconnect from the hustle of the world. Thank you so very much, Daria and Scott, for sharing your beautiful Maine retreat. We shall be back!

Stunning Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this amazing beach front home. It was private enough to have the beach to ourselves but close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park to be close to the action (25 minutes away). My son and daughter could watch seals playing in the ocean from their bedroom window as they fell asleep. We could watch the sunset from the deck after a meal prepared with all the appliances that would be in your own home. We loved swimming in the ocean in front of our beach house. We loved cooking in the kitchen with panoramic views of the ocean. We loved hiking in Acadia National Park. We loved eating and shopping in Bar Harbor. This place is a must stay and we will be back! We got the best sleep on the incredibly comfortable beds. We love to cook and this home had everything, even a salad spinner and gas range. We enjoyed the privacy and felt like we were looking at pages from National Geographic while watching bald eagles fly around families of seals only feet from our deck. It was spectacular. We will be back!
