Located on Beautiful Pine Creek, a 15 minute drive from downtown Wellsboro!

This property is located on beautiful Pine Creek. The location offers easy access to Pine Creek for kayaking or swimming, as well as breath-taking views of the mountains. With 8 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and a 2nd floor great room this lodge will accommodate the whole family! In addition to water activities, we are close to many riding (ATV, bicycle or horse back) & hiking trails, 15 minutes from downtown Wellsboro, 15 minutes from Galeton, and 40 minutes from Coudersport.

Our base rate is for a maximum of 8 guests. Any guests above 8 will be charged at $20.00/guest per night. Please message us for anything over 18 guests.

Really enjoyed our stay. The place suited our needs perfectly with large tables down stairs and a nice open space upstairs and plenty of bedrooms. It was clean, everything worked as described.

Excellent location for enjoying the Pine Creek Area. Plenty of room for our 5 couples. A concern is that seeing a “for sale” sign in front yard worries me that it might not be available to rent or if it is, rent will be out of reach..

This place was a perfect fit for our growing family! The space was wonderful for all ages not to mention the beautiful scenery. This property is ideally located near the gorge alongside the Pine Creek. The house is spacious inside and outside for large groups. The house is furnished with all the necessities making our stay comfortable and worry free.

Beautiful property

We had a large family vacation and it fit our needs to be able to stay in one place together. The way the bedrooms and bathrooms are set up is ideal. Thanks for opening up your cabin!

Very roomy house with large, flat backyard. Being next to Pine Creek was wonderful! It Is only about a mile or less to the trail trail and 15 minutes to Wellsboro. Owner was very responsive. I would love to rent this again!

Huge place to hang with your people at a great value

The house is very centrally located to a lot of attractions in the area. Interior space is ample enough for a large extended family. We really enjoyed our stay and say thanks to the host for the hospitality. Would definitely stay there again.

Loved it here

We had lots of fun in the creek with dollar store water guns, we went to the Big Falls water hole. And played wiffle ball in the back yard till the bugs got us. The kitchen had everything, lots of bathrooms, and lots of towels and washclothes for all of us. Had everything we needed

Beautiful location

This property met all of our needs and then some. Located in a beautiful setting with a stream on the side of the property, and a mountain range behind! The communication with the owner was prompt and we greatly enjoyed our stay, which brought all glory to God!

Place was huge. Lots of room for a large group. Great room upstairs with a kitchenette. Fire pit, location, can’t think of anything negative about this roomy home. Host was responsive with any questions.

Perfect PA Grand Canyon Family Vacation

Perfect place to stay with multiple families! Right in the middle of all the trails and overlooks. Also, right by the creek. The house is big and beautiful and has everything you need and more!

Absolutely Perfect Retreat Stay

I brought a group of men from our church to this location for a men’s retreat. We had 17 men, all of which, with the exception of two had their own bed to sleep in. It was an absolute perfect place to stay and what made it even better was being able to contact (Paul) the host and have all of our questions answered. We will definitely be coming back again.. it’s only a 12 minute drive to downtown Wellsboro yet far enough in the country to “get away“.

Five bathrooms!!! Unheard of!

This was a nearly perfect spot to host extended family & friends for a wedding weekend. The kitchen was well stocked (I did not need to bring crockpots for the rehearsal dinner preparation!)It was warm enough one morning to enjoy coffee outside on the porch, listening to the creek and enjoying time with my siblings whom I don't get to see very often.I appreciated the handicap accessible bathroom for my elderly brother in law and aunt and uncle.Thanks for a wonderful spot! Wish the church had been a little closer - but it was a reasonable drive, and the 5 bathrooms made it easy for many people to get ready for a wedding all at the same time.Paul responded to my questions quickly with over and above courtesy and helpfulness. Thank you.

Wonderful Experience!

This is a great property with a wonderful space for large families. We loved the large table that was able to seat our 21 family members. The children also enjoyed the large room upstairs with the toys, foosball, Legos, books and TV. Our family enjoyed the yard to play games and have a camp fire. There were plenty of outside chairs and the picnic tables were great. Our family enjoyed having the property next to the creek where they played, fished, and skipped rocks. Our family was able to hike the nearby trail and brought kayaks to kayak in Pine Creek. The house was well stocked with amenities including a portable crib, 2 refrigerators, and a well stocked kitchen with everything needed to make meals. Everything advertised and more was in the house. We had four generations with us from 1 year old to 90 years old. Everyone was very happy and all wish to return again. Thank you for providing the space for us to have a very memorable time together! We would highly recommend this rental property.

Beautiful Big Home!

When we first walked in, I thought “wow this home is huge!” Then we walked upstairs and saw the massive open area for all of us to hang out in and realized just how massive the home really was!! We absolutely loved our stay and enjoyed everything the home/area had to offer. Colton State Park was a few miles up the road, we rented electric bikes on the corner right down the road and drove them up to do some hiking. Another day we went to Big Falls Swimming Hole, the hike was steep, but short and was such a neat place to visit. A couple of us also floated down the creek from the house to Darling Run where we had people pick us up. We enjoyed playing yard games, playing cards inside on the large table, playing games upstairs, playing in the creek, and watching movies on the big tv upstairs! The kids area upstairs was also perfect and kept the littles occupied for a long time! I have never stayed in a rental that had everything we would need for the whole stay, typically we need to bring our own things such as toilet paper/paper towels/extra bath towels, but this home had it all!! We were so impressed with how well stocked the home was. We hope to return one day!

My wife Barb and I purchased this property in 2012. At the time there was only a single-wide mobile home on the property. My 4 children, 3 nieces, their spouses and our 13 grandchildren spent the following 5 years building and putting our personal touch into Big Meadows Lodge. It may not be the fanciest place that you will stay, but one thing is for sure, there is a lot of love in this place. A love for family, a love for friends, and most of all a love for our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ! To God be the Glory, Amen!

This property is unique because it is so close to many tourist attractions, and yet far enough away for you to enjoy the peace and quiet of Tioga County. The other feature is that the Conservation District maintains the road and they do not plow the one side of the road when it snows so Snowmobilers can get to the many trails to snowmobile.
