The house is very nice. There are a few minor things that need to be addressed such as the dock patio loungers are falling apart and there are no lights on dock making it very dark. The light in pool isnt working and we had a hard time getting and keeping hot tub temperature up and Id recommend a pool skimmer to clean stuff from top of pool and the door to 1st floor bedroom doesnt open or close very well at all.. These are all easy things to fix and easy to overlook because it is a beautiful/gorgeous home with everything you need. The host usually answered very quickly and was very kind. If those small things were fixed/addressed my rating goes up to excellent. Dont miss renting this property if you have the chance.

We arrived to a green pool. I reached out prior to booking to let the host know how important the use of the pool was for our stay. She assured me the pool was heated and could be used. We contacted the host/property manager and they arranged for the pool company to come to address that. They were not able to come until the next day. When they got there they dumped a lot of chemicals in the pool and said not to use the pool for 24 hours and they would need to come back in a couple days to do it again. That would have been 3 of the 5 days that we could not use it. The faucets leaked, no garage door opener, lightbulbs burned out, rusty ice maker, toilet seat broken, towels stained and dingy, dirty pans and utensils in the kitchen, curtains hanging off the rods, outdoor trashcans overflowing, TV's did not work, lounge chairs broken beyond repair, tiki hut half missing the straw. The pictures in the listing do not reflect what we got. We contacted VRBO and they were able to help us get out of the rental. They were great to work with. The issue we had with that is they do not allow same day check in. So we booked another property but could not get in until the next day. So we were displaced for 30 hours. VRBO said they would reimburse hotel charges. We had already gone to the grocery for the week. This was a mess and this host should not have rented us this property in this condition.

There was a problem with the skimmer of the pool, this could not predicted. Poolcompany came sunday morning,( guests arrived saturday evening) to fix problem. Concerning old sunloungers they were on dock waiting to be picked up by trash company. The garagedooropener was in kitchen clipped on information map. Guests did not contacted property manager to solve any issues,they left without informing property manager or owner

Perfect paradise getaway

Beautiful 3 suites with comfortable king beds, large kitchen, heated pool and hottub. Loved the canal which we kayaked with bottlenose dolphins on!!! 3 bicycles in garage were fun to see the neighborhood and cute burrowing owls everywhere. Highly recommend!!!

Family Time

Amy our property manager was 5 Star. She answered all question promptly and always with a friendly response. The property was as advertised. Spacious is an understatement, pool and hot tube were great, the pool table was a nice add for a rainy day, dock area was nice for sun and quiet outdoor mornings. Only minus tot he trip would be that the lanai could use a cleaning along with the outdoor grill/sitting area. Still, overall we would love stay again

Perfect vacation home for two families!

We traveled to Cape Coral from Wisconsin over spring break. We enjoyed our stay very much. Kids loved the pool, adults loved the dock on the canal. There were a enough beds, towels for everyone. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are already booked for next year. We had the opportunity to meet Sylvie and her family on our way out and they were so friendly and nice. Can't wait until vacation next year.

Nice home

Overall, the stay was good. There were sugar ants in the master bathroom and incorrect wifi password provided on check-in instructions, but property contact responded quickly. A/C struggled during day, but this is due to excessive 95+ deg temperatures during our stay. Plenty of room and nice pool / grill.

Excellent Vacation Home

As a group of three couples we enjoyed having our own bedrooms and bathrooms since we stayed for a month. Two of our group love to cook and the kitchen was large and well stocked. We used the heated pool and hot tub every day. When sitting on the dock, we saw manatees three different days and the many burrowing owls in the neighborhood were a joy to see each day. Amy, the property manager, was always extremely responsive to our requests and always a pleasure. I would highly recommend this property.

What a great place to be quarantined

We loved being quarantined at this property during Covid-19. It was easy to get to, the property manager was very accommodating and quick to respond to our questions. The home had everything we needed and more. The distance to open water thru the canal system was a bit longer than we expected but the weather was beautiful so we didn’t mind the leisurely cruise. We had such a memorable 3 weeks here. We hope to do it again!

Over the top - luxury

We are a family of 2 adults and 3 kids and everyone got their own bedroom since the house is very big. Location is great and easy to find, close to everything (5 minutes to grocery store, 10 minutes to the beach and 25 minutes to Sanibel Island). Interior is a bit worn but functional and the pool area is awesome. Having an evening drink on the canal-side patio is amazing. We will come back!

Family Trip

We had a great family stay. Reached out about 2 doors that would not lock, it was taken care of right away. The jets on whirlpool are not very bubbly. When they were turned on they did not shut off all night.. it was a learning curve, if it is on the pool stops heating...if it is off they circulate together keeping both nice and warm. I believe they buying a tablet so future guest can turn it on and off at will. Overall a great trip, beautiful home.

My stay

There was so many ants all over my clothes and they bite I left with so many bite marks on my body , the jacuzzi doesn’t work. It was a nice stay but hard to get in contact with owner.

The property manager and myself were NEVER contacted. Ants tend to come in the house when there is a lot of rain, we spray against ants and set traps . If we are not contacted we cannot help

Pool wasnt heated when we got there, they called repairman. He told us he would recommend a new heater. Property manager said since property was for sale they werent fixing stuff. Tv in master bedroom didnt work, overhead light in same room didnt work. Didnt know property was for sale when we made reservation, wouldn't have stayed as we took this one since our previous rental sold and canceled on us 9 days before trip. No outside tv as pictured. Pool table had rips. Outside lawn chairs most in bad shape, table by dock has two chairs and tiki top partially gone. Property manager said she didnt know they were renting because it was for sale and hadnt been rented in a while. Pool was dirty, even though instructions said was cleaned weekly and they leave note with date and time cleaned so we could be sure to wait 2.5 hours. No note from before, and we stayed 8 nights never seen a cleaner. The main central heat didnt work so we used fireplace . Fishing poles were missing lines, reels,hooks etc. So we had to buy one to use. I guess we learned to ask questions dont trust the pictures on vrbo. In this case pictures give a whole different look than what is really there.

Concerning pool heater,pool is heated by solar new since 2 years, A/C is working also heating. Pool is cleaned on a weekly base by poolcompany. Outside Tv is gone and so I told renters before their arrival. That property is for sale does not mean it's not like the pictures,who were taken after hurricane Ian. Tiki is not in a good shape I agree. Concerning chairs tiki, there were 6 of them but renters did not chain them up after use and so after a storm they disappeared ,owner decided not to replace them because guests didn't take care of them and could not buy new ones after each summer storm

Great property for the price!

We were so sad to have to leave this property. While the house is in need of a few minor updates, what house isn't! And none of them affected our stay in the least. The property manager was attentive to all of our needs and questions, including bringing us toilet paper in the midst of all of this coronavirus outbreak! Everything was there that was needed, the pool and hot tub were amazing, and we spent so much time sitting on the dock soaking in the sun and occasionally fishing. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great stay in Cape Coral!

We really enjoyed our 10 day stay in Villa Oliveira. We were with two other couples and we had plenty of room to relax and enjoy the great weather. The house was well equipped and the property manager was quick to respond to any questions or issues. The outside space is beautiful with a lovely pool and hot tub; that we used everyday. The dock area is set up with seating and was a relaxing spot to sit in the evening. The house is located in a nice, safe neighbourhood and close to shopping and restaurants. Amenities not as we expected

Grill was not usable, bikes had flat tires, kayaks didn’t have ropes so were not usable, we had to contact property manager to adjust pool temperature, get the tv to work, and to buy a pump for bike tires. We still had a great stay but minor issues need to be attended to.

We loved it!

We stayed at Villa Oliveira for a week in April 2014. We had 6 adults and 3 teenagers and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is clean, very comfortable and in a nice, peaceful and convenient location. The kids loved spending time fishing from the dock. Sylvie is great to work. I had many questions leading up to the trip and she always answered me promptly. I hope to work with Sylvie again, to plan another stay in the future as we would all love to return to Cape Coral and Villa Oliveira. Thank you to both Sylvie and Sascha for everything.

Absolutely Beautiful Home!!

This home is just as the pictures depict it....maybe even a bit better! Myself, son & daughter-in-law and daughter, son-in-law & 1 year old grandson stayed here for a week. We had plenty of room for us to enjoy each other and also have our own space too! The pool and hot tub are extremely well maintained! There is a remote for the pool and spa which makes heating it up, turning on the jets & lights very convenient. The beds and linens are very comfortable and first class. The kitchen has granite counter tops and was well stocked. The view is gorgeous from the lanai and the dock! There are flat screen TV's in every room, including out in the lanai! There was music playing upon our arrival and the property managers were VERY nice and very easy to work with. I have recommended this home to my friends and will definitely be renting here again!

Needs Improvement

Overall house accommodated my family well. Location was convenient and quiet neighborhood. However if I book a place for 1 week I expect there to be enough toilet paper, garbage bags and dishwashing pods for 9 people for the week instead of the 2 garbage bags and 2 dishwashing pods and one roll of tp per bathroom that was supplied! I do not think for the amount of money I spent to book this home that I should have to go out and buy these things! Also, if I am required to wash towels and linens the detergent should also be supplied.

Please note we provide guests a starter set of supplies. For longer stays, guests will need to resupply items such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc. This is the case in Most vacation rentals .

Lost and no home to go to

This house was not available when we landed in Ft. Meyer on our check in day. Imagine my surprise when I read the note from Sylvie! We waited about an hour and she offered a 3 bedroom, 3 bath and of course I accepted it so me and my family had a house to go to. It was a downgrade from the 4 bedroom house I booked and paid for. No refund received.

There was an electrical problem , the house had no electricity. I had no other choice, I offered guest another house or full refund. He chose the house which was certainly not a downgrade, on the contrary, very nice neighbourhood and view. The only thing was it had 1 bedroom less. One can only do for the best which I tried

Awesome location lousy property management

The location of the home was great. Stores, restaurants and beaches very close. Overall the house was great. The issues were some lights didn't work, several tv's also would not work. The one outside was the biggest disappointment since that was one of the things we looked at in renting the house. Also in the homes welcome book it said not to do anything with the hot tub until the property management came over to show you how it worked. Upon check in we called and left a message stating the pool was warmer than hot tub and wanted to get that working, the property management never called or showed up to help us. After 2 days we figured out how to work it ourselves. The house did have many extras to use at the beach and at the house. If the property was maintained it would be a 5 start rental but the fact they didn't do much of anything I'd say keep looking. I've been renting in sw Florida for 10 years and this was the worse up-kept house so far

Good but could be improved

The house and pool were great and the housekeeping team left it clean but there were several areas that smelled musty like the entire upstairs, under the kitchen sink and the washing machine. It wasn't terrible but may not be great for someone with allergies. There were also only small, old towels to use. The main issue was the hot tub. The temp was not controllable from the house and too cold. It was one of the main reasons we picked this house so it was disappointing. We called, as instructed, to the property manager to let them know we were there and both numbers in the check in instructions and welcome book are wrong. We finally got the right number but they never called back or turned up the hot tub temp so we had zero contact with anyone our whole stay. Overall good for the price but room for improvement.

Guest received phone number of property manager with check-in email . Property manager went to the house and nobody was there. She also called them but it went straight to voicemail, she also sent them a text message. Smell was from a leak but has been repaired

Pleasant but a bit of a let down

The upstairs smelled of mold, you could see where water had been leaking from upstairs on the main floor. The pool didn’t filter properly so there were a lot of bugs in it. The screen on the ceiling of the patio was hanging down and bugs were getting in constantly. The bikes were not functional. The TVs in two of the rooms didn’t work properly, one was so fuzzy you couldnt see the picture and the other would not change channels. On a positive note, the environment was peaceful and serene. The pool table, though needing redone, was a good additive. The checkin was easy especially after a flight. The location was convenient with stores close. The drive to the beach was short and easy. The beds were overall comfortable though the upstairs squeaked if you turned. My favorite part of the house was the dock on the canal. Beautiful as the sun rises and extremely peaceful at night! I loved the lights on the table and just the overall feel! Overall good place to stay. With the amount of money spent I expected a bit better. However time with family was great!

Entertainment from the morning until the evening with a pool table, Wii station, all regions DVD player, flatscreen TV's, surround sound from the high ceilings, stereo player with CD and much more. Kitchen is fully equipped with breakfast bar, american fridge with ice maker and all tools available. House comes with 3 car garage, laundry room and lanai. 3 bikes and 2 kayaks free of use.
