Cute cabin. A little close to neighbors could hear them talking on deck (in all fairness they just talked loud). If there was a privacy shade on ends of deck that would be nice from neighbors and road. Some cobwebs up in higher parts of ceiling. Bed was comfortable. Hot tub on deck was so relaxing and great views. Close to several towns for different things to see and do.

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Cabin, kitchen, floors and bathroom were clean. Would have been nice for the spider webs in the corners to have been removed. Hubby was not happy he had to remove them for us. Yes it is in the mountains. Expect bugs, but outside. We chose this cabin out of many others in the same price range because of the hot tub. Sadly the hot tub was horrible. There were large brown rings around all jets and the bottom was just nasty. No we did not get it in it! Did not want an infection or whatever.Location is on a mile worth of gravel road so that would have been nice to know ahead of time, just seemed an important part for customers when choosing.

Good Stay
It was a wonderful stay. One recommendation however is a couch with a little more depth; we watched a couple movies and it was tough to get comfortable. Another recommendation is to provide the checkout instructions ahead of time (with the checkin email) as most folks stay off their phones on a couples weekend. Otherwise it was an unforgettable stay.

Lovely weekend for two
The house was spotless as always. We have stayed in several lydia cabins and they're always in immaculate condition. The only suggestion I'd make, as others mentioned in the guest book is to please consider some privacy screening/lattice on each end of the porch for privacy from the other cottages nearby.

Almost heaven
We love staying at Lydia!! This cabin was adorable as always, very relaxing! Our suggestion for this particular cabin would be to add drop screens on both ends of the porch to allow more privacy for hot tub. Nobody wants to see all that nakedness from the road or other cabin on the hill 😂. Can't wait to come back for another relaxing weekend!

Above and Beyond
This stay was just what we needed after deciding to hop off the Appalachian Trail for a few days. We would like to give a huge shout out to Josh who went above and beyond to accommodate us, which was greatly appreciated. All of the staff at the lodge/restaurant was very pleasant and easy-going. Jumper was the best company while enjoying the delicious food at Bearrr Appetit. We would highly recommend Lydia Mountain to anyone looking for a beautiful high-end getaway. While we do not have personal experience renting the venue space, it looked very spacious and organized.

Almost Heaven Labor Day weekend 2025
The cabin was so cute! A couple of things though, the furniture seems to be child size. Not comfortable for regular size adults. The hot tub has several jets not working and smelled musty. Only went in the first night because of that. The bed was comfortable! There were a lot of spiders and carpenter ants everywhere inside the cabin. Every morning the shower had stuff in it which looked like wood shavings? Over all we enjoyed a quiet getaway! Your neighbors rooster was our 6am alarm clock! Haha!

Our 2nd stay at Almost Heaven.
We had a great weekend doing nothing but relaxing , riding around on the back roads and soaking in the hot tub. Just what we needed. We know there is not much that can be done but , the smell of the water is horrible!! Wish there was an easy fix. That would be our only complaint. We were smart this trip and drove our truck to better travel turkey ridge rd. lol. 😂. Another quiet relaxing weekend in the books. We will be back again !

Thank you for your review - we are looking into the sulphur smell at the cabin. Possibly a water softener system will help. Safe Travels and we hope to host you all again soon!
The hot tub was a little cool when we first arrived but they had drained it earlier in day so after an hour it was nice and warm! The code to get in didn't work when we arrived but I was able to immediately reach someone to help us. Nice, quiet cabin for a romantic getaway. Would recommend shade for end that faces other cabin as with no leaves on trees could see right onto porch. The restuarant at the lodge was amazing with amazing views!
