Bahama Dreamin 1 Bed 1 Bath Oceanfront Villa with Amazing Views

Even if calendar says booked check with me I have 4 villas.

The Blue Lagoon and Pink Conch offers 1 bedroom and 1 bath for 2 people or a 2
bedroom and 2 for bathrooms for 4 people. Each bedroom has a queen bed.
We have four Villas so Even if the calendar says its booked message me I may have the other unit available. They both have full kitchen (set up just like home), Air Conditioned, family room with 2 sofas, eat in kitchen with seating for 4. The large screened in porch overlooks the beach and ocean, gas grill, with seating set so you can just chill. You are just steps from the ocean and beach by using the stairway to our heaven which has a observation deck if you just want to sit and enjoy the view without getting your toes sandy. Our villas have all the comforts of home to make your stay enjoyable whether it is for 3 days or 3 months. All you need is your bathing suits, shorts, sundress, sunscreen and any of your own dive or snorkeling gear and your ready for your vacation. I find it helpful to have water shoes since some of the terrain is rocky also.
You don't even have to leave the property to have a good time. Just walk down the stairs to the ocean and swim, snorkel or hunt for sea glass all day then come up to your private villa grill out on the screened porch and have a cold Kalik (beer of the Bahamas) or a glass of wine , all on your private screened porch. Now we are even including a vehicle with a villa rental to make your say as carefree as possible!
All you have to do is book your flights we will pick you up at Deadmans Airport. Fly to Nassau then onto Long island (LGI)
There is so many fun things to do in Long Island we even have our own swimming pigs! Beautiful beaches, Echo tour to see the pigs, turtles, sharks. You can stay busy or just relax the choice is yours.

Perfect Place in Paradise

Can't say enough wonderful things about this property! Gorgeous view from a huge screened porch! The Chimney Rock formation is breathtaking! The villa itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything needed for a perfect stay! The owner, Robin, was very sweet and helpful. She helped us arrange a fabulous boating trip with Captain Marvin. An added bonus is that they have vehicles that you can use during your stay!

A gem!

Mike and Robin have a little slice of heaven on Long Island. The location provides magnificent sunrises each morning, right from your screened-in porch. Alternatively, about a mile down the street you can catch sunsets on the ocean on the other side of the island. We enjoyed a peaceful and quiet vacation and explored the whole island - thanks to the car that comes with the house rental, that was a nice bonus!

Best Value on Long Island by Far

These units are far and above any other in the area. They are new, spacious, airy, beautifully and tastefully decorated. Large baths, BRs, living area and tremendous screened in patios overlooking crashing surf and a formation called 'Chimney Rock' that provides a semi-protected area for swimming & snorkeling. A Tiki hut sits halfway between the units and the surf overlooking a man made sandy beach. Long Island is rustic and remote... this property provides a modern home-like refuge for your explorations. A car is needed for practically any stay on LI and a late model SUV or Jeep is included with the rental. Proprietors Robin and Mike are fantastic. No complaints, only superlatives. Best choice for almost any stay in Long Island.

WOW...What a fabulous place and great hosts !!!!

We landed at Deadman's Airport...Robin was there to greet us .. From then on it was one "wow" after another ...The views from the villas are spectacular .... The villa we stayed in ...pink place on bottom floor was awesome .. So clean .. so inviting ...It felt like we were staying in a Five Star Hotel ... Believe me when I say that this place and Robin and Mike are all 5 stars !! The snorkeling out front was nice ...a little choppy at times but when the seas calmed down it was nice to just snorkel right from the villa .. The villa location is very central to stores, gasoline and restaurants ..We had a Toyota Highlander for our vehicle and we never had a problem ..Keep in mind, if you had to rent a vehicle like that it is VERY expensive !! I would highly recommend this property and experience to anyone who enjoys the ocean and a quiet island..We love snorkeling and we found places that Robin suggested and they turned out to be great ...CORAL GARDENS is one place ...just make sure the seas are calm ..Dining ... wear a bathing suit / shorts and go to Max's Conch Bar .. or the Forest 2..Max's is the place to chat with the locals. .. Don't pass this property up ... AWESOME

Cozy Oceanfront place, great location!

Bahama Dreamin' was a perfect place for our first trip to the Bahamas. We chose Long Island for its scenery, fishing, and low volume of tourists. Robin quickly responded to my many questions before our stay, and Nikki picked us up at the airport when we arrived on Southern Air. While we didn't get to meet Mike and Robin during our visit, everyone around the island recognized the car and spoke very highly of them. The villa was equipped with everything we needed to cook at home a few nights - we did bring some of our own spices, olive oil, and groceries since we read that food is expensive on the island. The central location is very close to some great restaurants like Max's Conch Bar and Seaside Village, and perfect for exploring both ends of the island. The included car was a big money and time saver, and you must have a car to enjoy this island since everything is quite spread out. We loved the screened porch to keep the mosquitos out and enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails there very day. The AC units worked well and smart TVs were nice to have for watching Netflix. The oceanfront area is quite rocky and the waves were big most of our stay, but there is a small sandy beach and some great shell and seaglass collecting at low tide. There is a nice mid -level gazebo with lounge chairs for an afternoon nap. Highly recommended!

Perfect Long Island Villa in the perfect location!

Just returned from 7 nights on Long Island and could not have had a better time or experience! These Villas are perfect...roomy, open concept with a great screened in porch to sit and enjoy the Atlantic Ocean breeze and fantastic views of Chimney Rock. Robin and Mike were the perfect hosts and had everything taken care of and everything we needed in the Villa - they have thought of everything which is not easy on this remote island. The kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms are clean and spacious with nice open tile showers, the rooms all have AC and two fans to keep the breezes going. The beds are very comfortable with nice bedding. They even have satellite TV (which we only turned on to watch the NCAA basketball finals!). One of the nice things about these Villas is their location on the island. Long Island is 81 miles long tip-to-tip and these Villas pretty much sit in the middle of the island so everything is a reasonable drive (in the SUV or Jeep they provide you!). The Deadman's Cay airport is no more than 15 min and Dean's Blue Hole (must see) is approx. 20 min. The beach and swimming hole just below the Villas is also a perfect place to chill - especially during low tide. We took notice of a number of other Villas around the island over the course of the week and nothing compared to Bahama Dreamin! If you have never been to a remote out island like Long Island do yourself and your family a favor and make the trip...it's a fantastic place to enjoy the "old school" Bahamas. There's no Atlantis and very little tourists here!!!! The Baker Family.

The perfect place to Dream

It’s Monday morning and I’m “Bahama Dreamin”. We just returned from two weeks on Long Island and an amazing piece of paradise at Bahama Dreamin. This was our third trip to Long Island with a group of eleven. Bahama Dreamin provided us the ideal accommodations for our group. We rented two of the two bedroom units and one of the one bedroom units which gave everyone the perfect balance between family time and some private space. Bahama Dreamin is located at the center of the island which is great. It is close to Deadman’s Cay airport which was really appreciated when our children’s flights home were delayed due to weather. Robin kept us informed of flight updates and provided assistance in an alternative option to Nassau. Bahama Dreamin is on a beautiful beach on the Atlantic side of the ocean. We snorkeled and speared a huge lobster the first night we arrived. Each day we went to another beach on Long Island. The cars that are included are a huge bonus when renting from Bahama Dreamin. The jeep and large SUV’s allowed our large group to explore the entire island from North to South. The units are beautifully decorated, clean and as comfortable as home. We cooked meals most nights for eleven in one of the units and had everything we needed. The large screened porches overlooking the ocean provided the perfect spot every morning for coffee and a spectacular sunrise and then an evening cocktail hour listening to the waves. Our group included four grandparents, grown children and our three year old grandson and four month old granddaughter. Robin arranged for Cena, her caretaker to babysit everyday which was amazing. Bahama Dreamin provides an excellent layout for everyone from seniors to children and I would recommend it for all ages and group sizes. We have been traveling to the Bahamas for over 20 years and have visited many different islands. Long Island is our favorite. It has the most beautiful, isolated beaches we have seen. Robin and Cena helped arrange fishing trips and introduced us to many amazing people. Cameron Knowles provided the experience of a lifetime by sharing his lobster adventures with my husband. Robin and Mike have created the ultimate setting for others to experience the beauty and restfulness of Long Island. We are already looking at the calendar to plan our next trip. Until then, we will be “Bahama Dreamin".

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Bahama dreamin. En effet, la vue est incroyable et originale pour les Bahamas. Etant là pour un assez long séjour nous n'allions pas à la plage tous les jours et lire en regardant la mer et les couleurs toujours changeantes, le bruit des vagues, ont eu un effet très relaxant ! Grâce aux moustiquaires qui entourent toute la terrasse, pas de problème de mouches ni de sandflies. La maison a tout le nécessaire et des articles de plage sont proposés. En cas de besoin Nicki la care taker a toujours répondu présent. La voiture ( un SUV) est vraiment un plus car sans véhicule on ne peut rien faire ni rien voir. La localisation centrale sur l'île est pratique pour voir le sud et le nord et en plus c'est à côté de Max Conch ! Super séjour que nous espérons renouveler.

Amazing peaceful stay!

This property was absolute perfection! The location is very close to Deadman’s Cay Airport and there are plenty of food market options close by. The villas sit right on a slope overlooking the Atlantic. There’s great swimming right there at Chimney Rock and the sunrises/sunsets can’t be beat. The villa was perfect! Great space, very clean and incredibly comfortable. Nikki picked us up from the airport and was so kind! The property is just down the road from Max’s Conch Bar where we ate nearly every night, and not far from beaches on the Caribbean side. Honestly the location couldn’t be better. Mike and Robin have created a paradise in paradise and we can’t wait to stay again!

Fabulous spot to recharge your battery

We have travelled to many islands in the Bahamas but this one has moved to the top of the list. Robin made it easy for us. The car she includes is essential and we travelled all over the island. The villas are central so you can go North or South or just stay home. The sea view is hypnotic and to fall asleep listening to the waves is delightful. The locals are wonderful and the food is great (lots of calories). We will be back. You do not know what you are missing so pack your bags today.

Best vacation ever!!!

I never got to meet Mike and Robin, but Nicky was the perfect hostess, balancing helpful with not being intrusive. I brought mosquito and no-see-um repellent and never needed it because the breeze was ever-present. The "lagoon" was delightful to snorkel, the sea glass hunting was the best I've ever experiened, morning sunrises were perfection, and because I purposefully booked my trip to coincide with the new moon, the stargazing was incredible - seeing the milky way every night was icing on a perfect, relaxing, much needed vacation. Having a vehicle was such a nice perk, and everyone on the island was so nice!! I admit, I did not go anywhere except Deans Blue Hole and the obligatory meal at Max's (both deserve the hype), so clearly, I'll have to come back and explore the rest of the island. Getting an appt at the Simm's clinic for the (US required) antigen test was simple, quick and easy. I recommend buying the voucher from the Ministry of Tourism before you go. I've traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, and normally have a "too many places to see - I don't re-visit" policy, but Bahama Dreamin is THAT good... Enjoy!!!

Wonderful location

Bahama Dreamin was a beautiful place to stay for vacation. Robin was very helpful with planning the trip and my cottage was so clean and nicer than I dreamed it would be. It is a great centralized location to explore the island during the day (with the included car) and then come home and relax in the tiki hut by the ocean each night. I will definitely be back!

In 2011 we wanted to start planning our semi- retirement and thought it was going to be on a boat to cruise the Caribbean. After looking at the cost of a boats to cruise to the Bahamas we decided to look at property in the Bahamas. The first property we looked at was in Long Island and that was our last! We fell in love with this friendly, safe, beautiful island at first glance. After 3 years we feel blessed that we by far made the right decision.

Then we meet with a few builders and chose Lauren Knowles, who is a father to the community and now like family to us. We started with just going to build a home for us but later decided we wanted to be able to share this amazing island with friends and family so that is how the Blue Lagoon Villa and the Pink Conch came in to play. Now the Blue Lagoon Villa is complete and our dream is a reality. We are so excited to meet you and help you enjoy your getaway to Bahama Dreamin!

Why they chose this property

After touring Long Island we had to make a choice on where we wanted to build Bahama Dreamin Villas. We looked at the Leeward side of the island and the Windward side. We chose the windward side because of the elevation for the best view and the constant breeze. Even though we are from FL the breeze adds to the comfort of a tropical climate. We are so sre you will be amazed by the beautiful view that when you drive up the road to Bahama Dreamin and your first words aren't OMG we will buy your first nights dinner! You come once this will be somewhere you will want to visit again and again

What makes this property unique

We have traveled to many places so we have tried to pin down all the fine details when building and furnishing the Blue Lagoon and the Pink Conch Villas. Each villa are 1 and 2 bedrooms and each bedroom has its own private bath. The living room and kitchen has everything you need to make your stay just like home with a full refrigerator, stove, microwave plus pots and pans, blender, mixer, toaster, dishes etc... If you don't want to cook there are many restaurants on the island close by or you can have a Bahamian meal cooked for your in your own Villa with fresh fish or lobster caught that day. The large screened in porch is where you will spend your evenings and on a calm night you will be glad to have the screened room that is like an extension of the family room. All rooms are air conditioned but we rarely need them since there is always a nice breeze.
