Csarnok negyed vacation rentals

This apartment is on the 2nd floor and there is an elevator, which we appreciated. This is basicly the size of a hotel room with a kitchenette, adequately furnished for a short stay. Storage is minimal, which was OK for us. Front door security was very helpful as we did have some issues with the underground parking. Would have liked 1 extra chair in the sitting area. The chair that is there takes up too much room, we both tripped on the chair legs that flare out. Aliz, our host, was great with communication!

This is a lovely apartment located on a pedestrian street with many bars and restaurants to choose from. The apartment is toward the back of the building so we didn’t have noise. I had some mix ups with my booking process and the owners couldn’t have been more patient and kind while I worked this out. The apartment is clean and nicely decorated. We loved the skylights and hard wood floors. The kitchen was open plan with lots of counter space which is rare in Europe. Just one note: the building stores its garage cans in the entry way of the building which we found a little off putting. Other than that, the apartment itself was lovely. We wish we had more time to enjoy the apartment and Budapest.

We loved staying in this beautiful apartment in Budapest. The photos are 100% accurate and the apartment was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Gabor, the owner, couldn't have been nicer or more responsive. He answered questions quickly, gave us great advice, and was really lovely to work with. While we really liked the apartment, it might not be right for all travelers and so I want to mention a couple of quirky things about it. The most notable, potentially problematic thing is the bed. As shown in the photographs, the bed is located atop a loft in the middle of the apartment. To get to/from the bed, you have to climb up a narrow stairway and then crawl (or stoop) over to the bed. If you get up at night to go to the bathroom, this can be a bit of a hassle. If there are two people sleeping in the bed, the person on the "far side" has a bit of extra maneuvering to do to get across the bed and down the stairs. The bed's open location means that it also isn't insulated from noise or light coming from elsewhere in the apartment. If there are two people staying there, they'd need to agree on bed time. If you're a flexible person, this bed situation might not faze you at all. But it's something I would have liked to know about - so I'm mentioning it. The location is convenient for catching trams and getting around the city, but the neighborhood is a bit gritty and can be noisy.

The flat was clean and perfect for the large group we had. The two different sitting areas allowed us to meet as a group to eat and just talk. There were many bathrooms and bedrooms that were utilized for many different groups. Overall, it was a great space.

Pros: Lovely flat/ good location/ great host Cons: old / dated building. We wish the beds were more modern and the mattresses were thicker . New / modern beds / better pillows and mattress would make this flat exceptional. Also we wished there was a TV . Its always nice to catch up on news in the evening after sightseeing.
