Family getaway

The cabin is about 15 minutes from Gatlinburg. Sits perfectly beside a stream that we enjoyed in the hot tub. The cabin was very warm and cozy. Most importantly, it was very clean! We will book again.

Peaceful and beautiful

The only hiccup we had was we were unable to get in with our code when we got there, however the on call worker got right back to us and we got in quickly. Verizon phones don’t get good reception here, but US Cellular works. The cabin is gorgeous and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist filled towns. The creek running by the cabin is amazing to sit outside and listen to at night. I would have been just fine staying at the cabin the whole time and away from people, but the kids needed the tourist stuff. I highly recommend this cabin for a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle!!

Just relaxing

Very comfortable and clean. Wish the motor on the hot tub did not run all the time so that you could here the creek but location was very quiet and private. Back porch is screened it which was a life saver because there were a lot of mosquitoes. But in nature you have to take the good with the bad. Cabin is a great place to relax and re-energize. Only downside is that it is 30 minutes from anywhere , but you can get almost anywhere you wanna go in 30 min. (Cosby, Gatlinburg, Sevierville)

This property needs an over haul. Very dated.

We come to Gatlinburg annually and typically have rented great properties using VRBO—this one an exception. The property is tucked away in the woods and a long 25 to 30 minutes drive to Gatlinburg. Everything is dated. Refrigerator and pool table falling apart. We didnt sit on the enclosed deck because it was filthy. There is a WiFi with a password, however it doesn’t work. We had no cell service or internet access. The kitchen has bare essentials if you are cooking. No views at all. Very disappointed.

Debbie, I'm very sorry you didn't enjoy our cabin. I certainly wish you would have reported the issue with wif-fi to the rental office when you called them to bring more towels, sheets, and reclean the deck where the mowing crew had mowed. I also wish you would have told the rental office that you were not happy with our cabin. You would have been welcome to call us directly as well at any time during your stay! My brother's family stayed in our cabin just prior to your stay. I had the management company check on the refrigerator, pool table and kitchen supplies. Both parties reported no issues, other than normal chalk marks on the felt from folks playing pool. Yes, we have no mountain views on the creek because the creeks here in Gatlinburg run in the valleys due to the fact water has no way to run up a mountain. Again, I'm so sorry you were disappointed.

Terrible cabin, dirty, misinformation, and rude personnel

If it had minus stars, I would definitely go for it.1-The cabin was so dirty in different places, in the kitchen, the sofas, the chairs outside. We found the cockroach in the kitchen. 2-Misinformation and misrepresentation:They mentioned on the website there are: fireplace, washer, ironing, extra queen bed. But the fireplace was fancy, and it did not have any heat. There were not any washers, irons or queen bed. There are several cabins near this cabin, it is not the same as pictures that shows it has privacy.3- We were 3 people staying there for 6 days. They just put one tablet for dish washing machine and not enough toilet paper in the restroom. 4-The stove in the kitchen was broken and just one of them worked. 5- Very complicated checked in instructions and so annoying.6- Irresponsible owner: I sent a message to the owner on the second day of our stay and mentioned all these issues, but I did not receive any response.7-Rude and impolite personnel: We went to the main office, there was very rude personnel. We mentioned the issues but he did not say any sorry or apologize.He explained about irrelevant things.8-I am so confident, this cabin has not been reserved more that one year before we came and all good reviews are fake.

Beautiful cabin in the woods. No Mountain View’s but the babbling creek beside the cabin makes up for it. We had a great time. Thanks for everything!

Great getaway

Overall this was a great visit. Only drawbacks for us were how far out from Gatlinburg it was and that the Wi-Fi only allowed 2 people on at a time so with 2 teens, we were fighting for it. Loved the property and the way the property managers reached out and checked on us!

For a cabin that is more than 30 minutes away from Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg I would have expected more seclusion, but there are two other cabins which share this property. There is a creek as advertised on this property but when you see a hot tub being drained into it Upstream when you first arrive, it kind of ruins the appeal. The pool table was not balanced and had trash on it. All of the TVs in the cabin were wired incorrectly and very difficult to fix. And there was no washer/dryer! For cabin that far out to not have a washer dryer was extremely inconvenient. Definitely not worth the price.

Thank you for reaching out to me to help you compare your credit card bill to the VRBO reservation confirmation. Thank you for locating your original VRBO confirmation while we were on the phone to see the amount and when the charges were to process to your credit card. I was happy to calculate your credit card payments for you to see everything for your reservation with VRBO were billed completely correct. For future travel you may want to keep the email confirmation from VRBO and perhaps write down the deposit amount, the balance due and the due date for when the balance will bill to your credit card to help prevent confusion when your credit card bill arrives the next month. I'm sure you were disappointed to see you were charged correctly when from your memory you thought the cost was less! Again, I'm so sorry you got confused. We provide phone numbers, text numbers, email addresses and make ourselves available to our guests by phone call, text or email 24/7. We welcome our guests to reach out anytime with any concerns before, during or after their stay! Yes, there is no washer/dryer advertised. There is a laundry facility one mile away. The manufacturer's drain hose for an outdoor hot tub is only 5 to 6 feet long, so hot tub water could not possibly reach the creek from any cabin! We would have been more than happy to come help you with anything during your 3 night stay, had we known you needed our assistance. While the area is very secluded to most, we're sorry the seclusion didn't meet your expectations.

Bare Footin In The Creek

The cabin was very clean & comfortable. We had 1grandchild & 2 great grandchildren with us & the main attraction for them was the little creek that ran beside the cabin. The spent a lot of time trying to catch fish. The only drawback is having to take your trash to the office dumpster which was a long way from our cabin & very inconvenient after having loaded our vehicle with luggage & children.

We are happy you and the kids enjoyed our cabin! Your review concerns us. You drove right past our dumpster by our driveway for a week. When we are at our cabin, we simply walk our trash to our dumpster. To clarify, our dumpster is the large bright green container with the huge garbage service logo on it. The directions we emailed stated: ...dispose of garbage in 'OUR DUMPSTER NEAR YOUR DRIVEWAY'. I'm so sorry you didn't just walk your trash to our dumpster! I'm also curious as to where you found an office for your trash that you described as being a long way from our cabin. I'm sure it was a pain to load everything and drive your trash somewhere! Again, so sorry you didn't just walk your trash to our dumpster. We wish you would have called, emailed or text us while you were here about where to take your trash. We would have been more than happy to have helped you all! Anyway, we're glad you enjoyed our cabin, the creek, trying to catch fish with the kids and welcome you all back again soon!

I'm so sorry you weren't completely happy with our cabin! We would have been happy to have sent maintenance to check on the satellite and stove for you, if you would have let anyone know there was a problem! I turned in a repair order for the stove and satellite after reading your review. They reported that all four burners, both heating elements and the thermostat are working properly on our stove. They found all the channels in our satellite package subscription were working properly. I will say, when it is raining really hard there can be interruptions in the satellite signal. We have interruptions at our home all the time from hard rain or snow. Perhaps that is what you experienced with the satellite during your stay. We welcome you to come back any time you can!

Best Cabin We Have Ever Stayed In

The cabin is laid out extremely well so that it is very roomy for a family stay. The scenery could not be any more amazing. Our family will definitely be back for another peaceful get away.

Super peaceful and relaxing vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our last minute trip to Gatlinburg in this cabin we found by the creek. The cabin was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable. We appreciated how clean and well stocked the kitchen was, since we mostly ate at the cabin. We really liked the hot tub on the screened in deck, the privacy and seclusion of the cabin. The drive to the cabin was gorgeous with all the fall colors. It only took us about 10-12 minutes to get to downtown restaurants in Gatlinburg, about 20 minutes to the shops and we were about 30 minutes to Pigeon Forge where we went over to Dollywood. We appreciated that their staff even checked on us during our stay to see if we needed anything. We have stayed in dozens of cabins in Gatlinburg, but have never found one as clean and well kept as this place. We will definitely be back to this cabin for another trip!

Not very quiet , Very little privacy, cabin was nice an clean

We wanted to go to Gatlinburg to celebrate our anniversary. We found this cabin on line, it was a bit higher priced than others but really liked the looks of it an figured it would be nice. The inside of the cabin was very nice. Bed was comfortable. Very clean. That’s the end of the good. The bad is. We expected to be in a nice quiet, secluded area. Another cabin 100 feet away. That makes for no privacy when in the hot tub. Try to sit outside of a morning to relax an drink coffee to the sound of a kid on his dirt bike zipping around the area. Even if you go inside you felt like you had to keep blinds closed so no one could see in an also keeps you from seeing the woods outside. We had to keep swapping batteries around in the remotes do to half of them being dead and some didn’t even have batteries. The wifi was bery poor an unreliable. If all you are wanting is a place to sleep an spend the rest of your time running around this would be fine but we wanted a place to go and get away from everything and that DIDN’T happen. I would rate this a one if it hadn’t been clean inside and a very comfortable bed. The only good part of our stay

Kevin, we are pleased our cabin was comfortable and clean for you! I Googled your hometown to discover your hometown has a population of only 625 people with no main highway running thru it or direct access to a major highway!!! We find our cabin is very secluded, private, wooded with a beautiful little creek, and over 200 feet to the next cabin. We enjoy the birds singing, the squirrels playing in our trees, and occasionally, we even get to see a momma bear and her little bear cubs cross our little creek! The next cabin has no windows facing our cabin at all. In fact, the privacy of our cabin was one of the key things that caused purchase our cabin. Very few vehicles a day pass on the main road where you turned off, then onto our private lane and we're at the end of that private lane! Our county's population alone is over 100,000 and during peak travel times, hosts another 100,000 tourists daily for a total daily population of about 200,000. I can understand your concerns coming from your hometown of only 625 people--you must have been in shock when you reached Sevier County! Also, you were here on a Holiday weekend, fall break, and peak leaf time in October! The management office would have been more than happy to have changed the batteries in your remote and adjusted the wi-fi for you, had they known you needed help. I spoke with them to follow-up as to why they didn't help you. I learned you did not report anything, other than the cabin wasn't as private as you wanted. We enjoy our cabin and find it extremely secluded, compared to our hometown. I don't think I've ever been to a town like yours of 625 people and I'd love to visit your town sometime, it sounds very charming! I think it comes down to what a person is accustomed to in their own hometown and personal expectations. Again, I'm so sorry your trip disappointed you!

Bear Footin Felt Like Home...But Better!

Beautiful setting - comfortable accommodations - fun amenities (pool, hot tub, wifi, Dish tv)...during our 5 day stay at Bear Footin on the Creek, my grandkids (8 & 10), daughter, son-in-law, and I felt like the cabin was our home. The location was a bit from downtown Gatlinburg but right off the East Parkway and just far enough to be quiet and somewhat secluded. Our best find was that it was very close to the Greenbrier swimming hole in the National Park. The cabin definitely could serve up to 8 people easily. The Honeymoon Hills staff was attentive and easy to work with. Hope we get to go back soon!

Perfect size

Other than the 30 plus minute drive to everywhere we wanted to go (including the dumpster for garbage) this cabin was perfect! It is definitely a home away from home. Very clean & everyone that I spoke with from Honeymoonhills was so kind & helpful. There are 3 cabins next to each other.

Thank you, Devin. We're happy you enjoyed the cabin. I'm so curious as to why you didn't use the dumpster at the end of the driveway. We have a magnet on your refrigerator with instructions to walk your trash to the dumpster at the end of your driveway and also included same instructions in your driving directions! I'm so sorry you drove your garbage somewhere else.

The cabin was clean and everything was ready for our stay.

That property was well maintained and the little added amenities that were set up for us were just an added bonus. From the swans and wine glasses on the bed to the muffins on the kitchen bar. Everthing made you feel at home. We would definitely recommend this cabin.

Would stay here again!

We had a wonderful experience staying here! It was clean and nicely set up for our stay. Very peaceful setting away from the main attractions of Gatlinburg. Would recommend a stay here!
