YOU ARE RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Just walk through the gate and you are there! Enjoy our quiet, romantic, tropical Garden Getaway in Oceanside, California. This beautifully decorated condo has a spectacular view of tropical lush plants, trees and limited view of the ocean. The North Coast complex is beautifully landscaped with a waterfall, streams, and a koi pond (you can even feed the koi!). Relax beside one of the two heated pools and spa. Enjoy a family dinner at the poolside barbecue or enjoy a beautiful sunset from our balcony. The complex includes a fitness center, sauna, putting green, ping-pong, pool tables, party rooms, card room, and library. Other amenities include a gated entry and 24 hour security.

Our condo has a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. The condo houses one bedroom with a comfortable king bed and one queen convertible sofa bed in the living area. The bathroom adjoins the bedroom with kitchen, dining, and living room areas. There are two flatscreen TV's, DVD player, wireless internet, fireplace, and ceiling fans. All linens are provided.

For fun at the beach there are boogie boards, beach chairs, frisbee, beach umbrella, and ice chest. You need only to walk through the gate to enjoy the water, sand, and sun. Oceanside is known for being a wonderful surfing area. You can rent a surfboard and take lessons near the pier. Other fun beach activities include fishing, swimming, body surfing, deep sea fishing, kayaking, boat cruises, windsurfing, Stand Up Paddle boarding, whale watching (in season), volleyball, pit bonfires on the beach and more.

The condo is within walking distance of the Oceanside Pier, Oceanside Harbor, and downtown area. You will find many restaurants, movie theater, and shops within walking distance. Don't forget to visit the Oceanside Morning Farmer's Market and Sunset Market in downtown every Thursday. There is always something going on at the pier and in town.

If you don't want to walk - then try biking! Rent a bike at the pier and ride on the bike trail to the San Luis Rey Mission! There are many excellent bike trails around Oceanside. Another way to get around is to walk to the train station and take the Coaster into San Diego and see a Padre or Charger game, go to a museum, or have dinner in the Gaslamp district. The train can also be taken into Los Angles and other surrounding areas.

Our condo is located near many California attractions that are within a hour drive or less. You will have easy access to major highways to drive to attractions such as Sea World (35 minutes), Disneyland (45 minutes), Legoland (10 minutes). Don't forget a trip to Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, Universal Studios and Hollywood. You may just want to get into the car and head down Highway 101 taking in all the quaint beach towns and local flavor.

Why Lisa chose Oceanside

We have always enjoyed the beach. Both my wife and I spent time in Oceanside as teenagers. We have always loved the Oceanside and San Diego area. The North Coast Village resort is on the beach. We wanted a place where we could directly access the beach and be close to the many attactions and San Diego county activities. Oceanside has it all for us and we love the North Coast complex.

What makes this condo unique

There are so many things to do! We enjoy walking to the pier and having breakfast at Ruby's Diner. We love walking to the harbor and into town. We also ride our bikes on the trails. Watching the sun set from our condo balcony is a highlight. Since we live about 2 hours away, we enjoy the condo throughout the year. There are so many fun activites throughout the year and it is so easy to enjoy the outdoors in this beautiful location.

Great place!

We had a great experience here. The location is FANTASTIC, the grounds are amazing and the Tommy Bahama decor in the condo is very cute. It's a lovely, short walk through the grounds to the beach to catch a beautiful sunset every night. We enjoyed walks to the pier for breakfast and to the marina for boat rentals, lunch and souveniers. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and friendly. This was the perfect size for my husband, daughter and I. The condo had everything we needed for our stay of four days. I do agree with the review below that more fans would be nice or even a mobile AC unit. We will definitely visit this location again as we would like to bring our whole family back. Our overall experience was great and we would recommend to a friend. We feel very fortunate to have found this little gem.

Great location but Adminstration needs serious improvment

The location - The location is great. You are renting this condo to have a relaxing beach vacation

and it's really all about the location. As the review below mine states – the condo is in the middle of the complex but it is still has Peek a Boo views. My children and I counted the steps to the beach and it’s like 300 to the sand so you cannot argue with that. The actual beach itself is very nice. Clean and a typical So-Cal beach. There are a few things to do within walking distance / to the Boardwalk. Bikes, Paddle board, ECT, but we did not do that this time. This is not a huge city and does not have all of the amenities that San Diego or South Orange County would but more relaxing and quiet and that’s what we were it ‘looking for. You will be carrying you food / grocery’s to the condo which is on the second floor and it’s not ideal but doable. We had a lot of food for 10 days and it sucked bringing everything up but a part of the process.

As for the condo itself – It’s small. Sleeps only four. More would be a stretch. They admit that. The condo has really everything you need to have a nice stay. My wife did not like the Electric stove but certainly just a preference. Not update or remodeled but fairly nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and sleeper sofa was normal. No central air. I didn’t think about that but it’s at the beach so they did not build these with air. There is one fan in the bedroom but for us not enough. We like to sleep in the cold. Just a preference.

You will not have a ton of space for food but didn’t bother us too much. It’s about vacation. I would however, liked to see more towels. Not enough for a family of 3 or four - for a week. We had to do laundry to wash towels.

The Administration process is seriously inefficient and needs to be corrected. It took forever for us to receive the Lease agreement and they almost – almost double booked or lost our reservation. The deposit refund process is SLOW…AT A SNAIL’S PACE SLOW. It seems to me that the actual owners do not give the property management company the authority to write checks or issue refunds. Ours’s took exactly 1 month to be refunded. I was told that the owners write the checks from there account but the check came in property Co name. Would I stay here again - Yes but make them put in writing I will have refund within 7-10 days after stay.

Owner's Response: We are so glad that you enjoyed our condo! We try to be very clear on what to expect when you stay in the condo. The location of the complex, on the beach , is within 300 steps. The location is certainly a plus for beach lovers. We appreciate the comment on supplying the condo with extra fans. There are two ceiling fans (dining room and bedroom) and free-standing fans. Air conditioning was not put in the complex when it was built. We enjoy the beach breeze coming into the condo, but certainly can add fans (and towels) to the unit to help our guests be more comfortable. We apologize for any frustration in the booking of the unit. We are also working to streamline our guest services in getting our contracts and deposits to our guests in a timely manner.

Its your average beach rental

Overall its a nice Condo inside. Expect a lot of rules as to where to park your car, surfboards and your bikes ($15 extra to park your bike). The people in the HOA office where you pick up the keys were not the most pleasant either.

The Condo is in the middle of the complex building so there's a lot to bringing in your luggage, grocery's etc. The HOA doesn't allow the refrigerator ice maker to be hooked up so you have to make your own ice or I recommend bringing a bag of ice.

Last but not least, don't expect to get your security deposit back in a timely matter. Its been close to three weeks now and I still haven't got my security deposit back. When I called they stated that I have to wait till the end of the month.

Owner's Response: We have spoken to the people in the HOA office to be sure that they are helpful to our guests. There are rules on where to park cars, bikes, and surfboards that we will include in our description for better understanding. Due to the fact that the condo is located on the beach, space for parking, bikes, and other items is limited. The condo is located on the second floor and bringing luggage and food to the unit can be an issue, however, there is an elevator in the garage (near your assigned parking spot) which will take you up to the second floor near the condo. We do try to return security deposits in a timely manner and plan to resolve this issue.

Amazing Place!

This condo had everything! It's in a gated area and there is 24-hour security, both the staff and the owners were very easy to work with. The condo comes fully equipped with everything you would need: Dishes, towels (for beach and bath), extra bedding for the pull out couch, and even some spices for cooking if you feel so inclined.

We went for a girls' weekend and all four of us loved how close everything was. The beach is a three-minute walk away and there is plenty to do all within one mile of the condo. We hit a lot of places and never once did we have to get in our car to pay for parking anywhere. I definitely want to come back soon ^_^

My favorite thing that we did was wake up early and collect sand dollars on the beach.

North Coast Village Condo Review.

I had a good experience with the condo rental. Condo was exactly as advertised. Location is great, 1/2 block to beach. Bike trail was very close. Cable TV, Wifi. Oceanside Harbor, 2 blocks from location. Small kitchen with new appliances. Grounds are well maintained. Excellent security and underground parking. Staff is very courteous. Interaction with owner through his staff was good. Deposit was returned promptly. Overall would recommend to other renters.

Nice getaway!

My wife and I have stayed here on two occasions thus far and will certainly come back again! There are plenty of things that make this condo stand out. First of all, the location is only steps from the beach. We had forgotten beach towels, but alas, the condo had plenty in supply. The pier is easily within walking distance, but not too close so it was easy to find a prime spot on the beach. As to the condo complex itself, the grounds are very beautiful and includes a community pool and spa. The people we ran across in the complex were very nice. All in all, this is a great condo with a location that is hard to beat.
