The Kenai Peninsula is fondly referred to as Alaska's Playground, and for good reason. Our town boasts the best fishing in the world. You can't beat our rivers and beaches swelling with salmon under the watchful eye of Mount Redoubt, an active volcano that sits just across the inlet.
If fishing is not your scene, don't worry! There is plenty to do, from hiking, bear watching, ocean wildlife cruises, snow machining, cross-country skiing, shopping, world-class dining, and so much more.
Our home is centrally located to take advantage of everything our area has to offer. You can be at the airport in less than three minutes, and the beach in less than five. Walmart is close by, so stocking up on groceries is simple. Our huge parking lot has room for everyone, even if you decide to host a family reunion on our property.
And if you do, everyone will be happy. The teens can gather in the rec room and play foosball or pool while the upstairs boasts lots of space for everyone to gather, play games, watch TV, or just talk. Our massive kitchen flows into the great room, where a cozy fireplace begs folks to pull up a chair and relax.
Our two-acre property is home to ducks, chickens, and wild domesticated rabbits. You'll see them hopping about the gardens and sitting under the maple trees.
Speaking of maple trees, we are one of the few properties in the area that have cold-hardy maple trees scattered throughout the yard. Visit in September and October, when the birch and aspen are brilliant yellow, the maples are on fire, and the sky is brilliant blue.
Winter brings snow and all the fun winter activities! Across the street, the family can ice skate or grab snowshoes at the Kenai Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center in Soldotna (just 15 minutes away) and walk the trails like an Alaskan!
No matter what you and your group enjoy, you can do it all from the Haven House in Kenai.
