About Carol Rancourt
I was a social worker and volunteer manager with an Agency for the Elderly. I grew up in Maine, graduated from Scarborough High School and the University of Southern Maine. I still live in my family home in Scarborough and have spent more then 50 summers at this wonderful spot on Little Sebago Lake.
Carol Rancourt purchased this Cabin in 1960
Why Carol Rancourt chose Windham
This 'camp' was a family adventure. My parents took my brother and me for a ride on Sunday in 1960 and we saw the for sale sign. We stopped and fell in love with the spot. The cottage was unfinished at the time, no lights, no running water but following a family vote we bought it and have been there ever since. With more than 50 summers at 'camp' I can tell you nothing beats the pristine water, the beautiful sunrises and moonrises, the diamonds on the water, the loons gliding right out front. Fishing is wonderful and we occasionally have a visit from deer or moose.
What makes this Cabin unique
All you have to do is roll out of bed and jump into the lake, drop a line and catch perch, trout or bass, kayak, row or just lounge on the deck and watch the chipmunks and birds at play. We have internet but you may just choose to shut it all off and enjoy nature at its best.
