Welcome to The Bradshaw:
Unwind in the heart of Stratford’s boldest & most prominent restoration masterpiece. Brick facades unfold before you, buttressed by 200-year-old industrial timbre framing and accented with tasteful, modern finishings and historical décor elements.
Winner of the 2019 James Anderson Award for Heritage Preservation & featured in National Geographic, the Bradshaw building has long been one of Stratford’s most beloved architectural landmarks. With historical roots cultivated by a spirit of progress, the property takes its rightful place at the forefront of the city’s premium luxury vacation rental offerings.
Originally built in 1903 in the Edwardian Classical style, complete with channeled brick and radiating vousisoirs that frame arched windows and entrances, the Mooney Biscuit and Candy Factory defined the entrepreneurial spirit of the time.
It was in this spirit that successive enterprises built their own legacies at 245 Downie Street such as The Bradshaw Lofts namesake, J.L. Bradshaw, one of Canada's oldest wholesalers.
Professionally hosted by hospitality expert, sommelier, and Stratford native, Brendan McKenna (KressleyGroup.com), all suites are fully equipped with modern kitchen fittings, spacious washroom facilities, complimentary on-site parking, and ensuite laundry fixtures for your convenience.

We loved the Baldwyn Loft! The unit is well designed, and close to theaters, restaurants and shopping. Our host Brendan was very gracious and quick to respond to any questions we had.
We really enjoyed this rental, and definitely would rent it again. It is spacious, quiet, well-supplied and modern inside, though it’s in a large re-furbished building. Walking to restaurants and the Avon Theatre; longer walk to the Festival Theatre. Good dining choices nearby .Recommend highly.
The 2 bedroom apartment was in an excellent location, check in was well explained and easy, and the place had lots of clean towels and was very clean. The building was very quiet as well. The location is excellent for all the shops, restaurants, river walks and the Avon Theatre. There is only parking for one car in the apartment lot but there is free public parking just a short walk away.

Loved this loft style modern condo which was well equipped with everything you needed. It had a lovely decor, nice big bathroom and was very accommodating for our party of 4 adults. We loved how close ir was to shops and restaurants, all within walking distance. We would definitely rent this condo again if we had another couple joining us.
Stay was great with my 2 siblings & sister in law. Shopping & restaurants very good . Such a great friendly town . My second time back to Stratford. Love all the quaint shops here . We took a pontoon boat ride & plays are very good .

The place is great. Modern design, very clean and all the comforts. The building is great too with an amazing cafe and wine bar in the basement. Just a few minutes walk away from everything Stratford has to offer. I would highly recommend a stay here
We enjoyed our stay, great location, host was very available snd prompt in answering our questions and assisting with issues. We have provided suggestions to the host to improve the experience and make sure there are enough supples for guests.
Excellent experience. Suite had everything we needed and was just a short walk to the Avon theatre and shops. Information provided prior to arrival was complete and easy to understand. I was impressed with the security measures and free parking at the building. Brendan was the perfect host. All our questions were answered completely and within minutes. I would definitely stay here again.
This is my third or 4th stay at the Bradshaw. It's a fab location and beautiful space--I just love having a kitchette and separate sleeping spaces for two people. I needed a couple of things (wi-fi wasn't working and some supplies) and both were handled right away and pleasantly. Minor suggestions: shower is great, but needs a place (shelf) for shampoo etc. and the sun really comes into the second bedroom and the shades don't block it, so bring an eye mask or wake up with the sun. : )
Wonderful to have our own space for 5 nights. Very comfortable although the second sleeping area is extremely tiny. Sounds picky but I have to agree with the other reviews that it would be helpful to have someplace to put soap/shampoo in the shower and to hang more than one towel. Overall loved the experience. We didn't get information on the internet password until I asked which made me wonder if I was missing a sheet of information and we never got checkout instructions even after asking. Brendan was very responsive to questions but I did feel like the automatic info wasn't coming thru. The check in was very easy.Do be aware that while there is an elevator, you access it from the lobby and have to go up about 6 or 8 stairs to get to the lobby so if mobility is an issue, there is no way to avoid those stairs.
