This was our first visit to Gulf Shores—we regularly vacation in Destin, but GS is a bit closer to us in Dallas. It was only the two of us so we were looking for a 1BR on the beach and Seacreast 703 fit the bill perfectly.
The condo was as advertised, and very clean upon arrival. The (one) bathroom could use a little reconditioning—everything worked well, but the sink/cabinets gave us some concern when we first saw them. While we don't go to the beach to watch TV, this is another “amenity” that could use some updating.
We would recommend that visitors furnish their own “chair/umbrella setup” as the rentals on the beach are a bit pricey; and while not specific to THIS condo, it's a bit annoying that, by the time all “fees” are included, the nightly charge increased significantly.
We enjoyed Gulf Shores, the location of Seacrest was great, the private beach was nice, and we will return in the future. We would stay in this unit again, but I think we'll at least “shop” the other 1BR units in Seacrest before booking 703.
The condo was cozy; it was also clean. I snore, so I ended up on the couch...which I found more comfortable than the bed. The bed was very firm. The freezer reeked of seafood, which is half expected if you store fresh fish in the freezer, but still...it wasn't my fresh fish smell so I wasn't pleased with that. There were plenty of towels, that smelled of men's cologne. The toilet required you to hold the handle down to flush completely, I hate that. Two tv's, each with a DVD player.
Biggest upset of the trip: construction on the building. It was going on our entire time there. Loud, early in the morning noises. The noises sounded like big wet farts (they were drilling or something to remove the outside wall coverings). Woke us up much earlier than we wanted. The only notice we were given was a note in the elevator.
The beach was fantastic as always. Attractive beach attendant too.
We were just thrilled with the Seacrest. Everything was just perfect. I really can not say enough about the property and the price was very reasonable. We will visit again very soon.
In a great location, right on the beach, nice pool and hot tub as well. Would recommend and would stay there again!
Booked the condo for a birthday week and was shocked by the cheap and broken furnishings. Thin towels, garage sale looking bedding and patio cushions. Missing light bulbs. Clogged tub, had to have maintence out twice. Can't read the oven temp knob on the stove. Great parking and location to beach but pay a little more and book elsewhere. Not worth the money.
Condition of the condo was good! Room small, and it was kinda a tight squeeze in the living room bit this condo well cared for and would be perfect for a family of 3.
