Great house. Had everything to cook, beds were very comfortable, and the back porch was nice to sit out on. We used the kayak and swam in the lake. A storm blew through, and we lost power for a bit, but the generator saved us.
Perfect place if you are looking for a peaceful little getaway. I would suggest bringing items to grill or cook as it is a country place with minimal restaurant options. This place was perfect for us and we picked up food from local spots a couple of times. Our labs were happy to roam outside and swim. Nice short stay with the gals.

The property was beautiful with an amazing view of Lake Livingston from the back porch. We had everything we needed to enjoy our family summer vacation. From a fully stocked kitchen for cooking meals for my family to ping pong, kayaks, board games and comfy beds to sleep in after a long day of fun. Our host, Alyssa was quick to respond to any and all questions that I had. Greatful to her and her family for allowing my family and I, to stay in their beautiful rental.

Veronica-we very much enjoyed hosting you and your family! We r thrilled to know how much yall enjoyed your trip! Thank u for the wonderful review! We look forward to having yall back!
We were first greeted with deer in the yard! The lake house was beautiful, looked even better than the pictures. It was a very secluded lake house. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed the kayaks! We had fun floating on the lake and had fun fishing. At night, we were happy with choices of games available—my daughter especially enjoyed the arcade games! We were very impressed with the house. Top-notch!

Wow! We r so pleased to know how much fun yall had! It is our honor to share our home. We look forward to having yall come again!
Nice house with a good view of the river. We enjoyed the kayaks and all the games, like cornhole and darts. I would stay here again but I would bring paper towels, coffee, cooking oil, and dish soap next time. Non of that was provided so we had to make an early morning trip to dollar general. The beds were very comfortable and we found the living room couches and tv setup relaxing to catch up on our shows. It was also nice to be out in nature. We saw a couple of river otters on the bank. Overall, it was fun and peaceful.
We were so lucky to find this place after Hurricane Beryll! This place has a generator that allowed us all to be in air conditioning, but most importantly my elderly father in law. The home was beautiful and well maintained, and the lake views were gorgeous! My teenage girls loved taking the kayak out while the toddlers splashed in the water at the lakefront.
There were deer in the front yard every morning.
It was definitely such a wonderful escape after fleeing the wreckage of the hurricane!
Thank you so much for having us! We will definitely return!!!

What makes this property unique
We are a homeschool family with 2 beautiful girls. We enjoy traveling both domestically and internationally. Although the house is new, the property our lake house is on has been in my family for over 100 years. When my "6-greats" grandfather Captain Joe Werner, a steamboat captain from Germany, founded this area and named it Newport. We hope you have a peaceful get-away and enjoy the beauty of nature as my family has for decades!
