We enjoyed a short winter getaway at this fabulous property with our family. As soon as we arrived we were struck by the layout and the beauty of the cottage. There were 5 bedrooms upstairs with beautiful views of the lake, and the tv/movie viewing room had a wonderful and comfortable sofa with an oversized television to watch movies. The main living area has a dream kitchen and multiple sitting areas from which to view the lake and read magazines. The Sonos sound system was also a lovely treat.
Anne was very accommodating and helpful with suggestions of local events to attend and bakeries to try, We would love to return to this wonderful spot and make some more memories as a family. Thank you for having us!
Everything about this rental is perfect. The property owner is fantastic to work with. The cottage is beautiful, spacious, clean and highly functional. We stayed over late winter/early spring -the oversized windows allow for lots of light and makes for enjoyment of every type of weather.
An excellent family or executive rental. Will definitely return!
What a great place this was. We cooked, and watched the snow, and enjoyed the surrounding area so much. Shout out to the caretaker Glenn for making sure we were safe! This is an absolutely fabulous house.
Great holiday home - great host - great location : best holidays ever!
Best holiday home ever - we had a wonderful time direct at the muskoka lake. It is amazing and extraordinarily. The views and the furnishing were outstanding.
Ann was a great host - she gave us a lot of support, tipps and recommendations. We hope, that we could come back. We are all in deep love with the holiday home, the muskoka lake and canada. We would like to give TEN! and more stars for the home and for Ann, the host.
"Dear Ann, thanks a lot for your support. You are great! Please come and visit us in our home town heidelberg. "
The outdoor space and location on the lake was fantastic.
The house was laid out well for big groups.
Unfortunately construction a few cottages down was very loud during our stay, obviously not the owners fault. Was issue we had was resolved very promptly.
Great spot.

Beautiful Cottage (more like a home) in a beautiful setting!
We had 4 wonderful nights here in October and would highly recommend this place. The property and house are stunning offering uninterrupted and wonderful views of Lake Muskoka. Unfortunately it rained for the full 3 days we were there so we didn't get to use/enjoy any of the outdoor space; this however didn't take away from enjoying our stay here. As a result of the weather we were provided with an opportunity to experience a thunder & lightening storm at night from the master bedroom which was wonderful to watch with all the glass windows. It really gave us a chance to see mother nature work her wonders while staying nice and dry and cozy inside. The view from the master bedroom is spectacular, leave the curtains opened at night and enjoy! The entire property is well maintained and everything you need (other than food) is provided. Thank you Ann for sharing you place with us. We hope to return again!

The best of Muskoka
Ann's cottage is the best of the best. Every detail is inside and outside of the cottage is 100 stars.
Amazingly, every bedroom has a full patio door so you can step outside to the second floor balcony.
The kitchen has everything a chef would want. Two dishwashers, crepe maker, industrial stove and fridge etc
Ann is a hands on owner and is most attentive to ones needs. Plus, she is one call away and has always been available
The location is perfect because it is 10 or so minutes away from a major grocery store
This year was our second year and we definitely will be returning next year.
For our family our time at her cottage is treasured.

Gorgeous, modern indoor/outdoor living on stunning lake.
Beautifully equipped and brilliantly designed home on Lake Muskoka. Very private. All the amenities. This provided our family with a meaningful and thrilling way to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday. Owner a joy to deal with. I will never forget these wonderful 4 days!

Beautiful modern cottage on lake muskoka, a winter wonderland
We spent the New Year's weekend at the cottage with our four adult children and had a absolutely fabulous time. The cottage is beautifully designed, with one of the best fireplaces I have ever seen. The common areas are large and inviting at the same time. The white furniture and many sofa blankets made us feel that we were in a boutique hotel.
The large glass walls bring in the wonderful outside, with the trees, water and white snow.
Ann was a pleasure to deal with, and we had everything we needed. We went for walks in the area and visited the Muskoka beer brewery. We had a memorable family vacation and would definitely return. Thank you Ann for sharing your beautiful cottage with us.

A WHITE THANKSGIVING IN AN INCREDIBLE SETTING
Living full time in Bermuda, my husband and I longed for a cold and snowy Thanksgiving vacation. After searching thru so many listings in Canada, we discovered this gem on Lake Muskoka Ontario. We have traveled all over the world and stayed in some unique and luxurious properties, but this private glass home far exceeded our recent vacations. The pictures were accurate and they depicted the home's beauty and design....which is a very trendy mix of contemporary and rustic. The glass walls seemed to drink in the nature all around us. Huge dining table, two wonderful cozy fireplaces, flat screen tv, sonos sound piped thru ceiling speakers, and a fully stocked chefs kitchen. A special treat was to wake up to a gentle snowfall on Thanksgiving morning, knowing we would have a beautiful holiday in a warm home with amazing views on this scenic lake, enjoying cooking football and wine! And as fervent travelers, it was great to fly all that way and have everything clean and in working order. Ann and Tom certainly take pride and great care of their "cottage," and we vacationers get to benefit from that.....stress free and quiet. The location was ideal in that it was tucked into the woods for long hikes, yet close to an adorable village named Bracebridge which reminded us of Lake Placid with all its craft stores, high end shoppes, and cozy restaurants. The people there are super friendly and helpful. Days trips were a breeze from the house, our favorite being a snowy drive thru the Algonquin Provencial Park. All in all, we loved the entire experience and especially coming back to this jewel on the lake. One place where we actually looked forward to going to bed under the stars and waking up in the trees.
One last question: is this place for sale? Wow, we wish it were ours!

Amazing Experience!
Recently had the pleasure of staying at this property. It was truly a beautiful experience from the lake views to the tall pines surrounding the stunning cottage to the cottage itself. It was a great mix of modern amenities and design with all of the cottage charm. Plenty of space both inside and outside with a lot of privacy. The owner is amazing to deal with and we were lucky to have found this cottage online. We would definitely stay again in a heartbeat.

Modern = Lovely
First of all we want to thank Ann for making our get away perfect. What an amazing "cottage"...really this home is not a cottage but a gorgeous modern home nestled on a private point of land facing Lake Muskoka. The windows are floor to ceiling and the views are incredible. Just stunningly beautiful especially with the fall colours. Close enough to town and shopping yet private and secluded tucked into the trees. The house was a joy to experience. Everything is designed and executed with quality and function as well as beauty in mind. Simple and elegant. Great electronics and the kitchen has everything you could ever need which I especially enjoyed being the foodie I am. It was only the two of us but we were happy to see that this house will work perfectly for our next family special gathering. 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, each beautifully appointed. The main master bedroom was just beautiful and high up in the trees which was a really neat feeling. Open your eyes in the morning and it is like you are looking out at a Group of Seven painting, just breathtaking. We can image the Summer fun with two docks, toys, hammock and multiple sitting areas, each with it's own character. The landscaping is gorgeous and very thoughtful in design. Oh and I must not forget to mention the fabulous BBQ and huge smoker. We highly recommend this property if you want to experience hi-end living in Muskoka. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you Ann.

Top Shelf Property on Lake Muskoka
A fantastic, bright, modern and well appointed home right on the lake with two docks and the most comfortable hammock I have ever been in. Its quiet and private but a short boat ride or car ride to whatever you need. The property has a great BBQ and fire pit and a fantastic Sonos system for accessing your favorive music right off your phone the moment you walk in the door. The home is clean and well stocked with everything you need for a great stay. We will be back again.

Exceeded expectations
A great first impression, long before arrival at this lovely property, due to the superb, prompt, caring communication with the property owner. The hospitality and warmth evident from those communications, together with the superb setting, gorgeous sunsets, and the cottage set our expectations very high.
Such expectations were, nonetheless, handily exceeded during our stay. A truly beautiful home, thoughtfully designed and appointed.
A most beautiful location for a memorable 2 weeks spent with adult children and young grandchildren. Loved it.

Can't wait to stay here again!
My wife and I rented this cottage for our "babymoon" last year and loved it, so we had to come again. This time we stayed with three couples and three young children. It was, once again, amazing. The cottage is huge and has everything you could possibly need. The layout is superb with five spacious bedrooms upstairs and an open-concept main floor that has a 180-degree view of the lake. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and the owners have thought of everything. For example, they have an iPad set up ready to stream your favourite music, multiple floating chairs for the lake, portable music speakers for the dock, two dishwashers, and every kitchen appliance you could dream of. Ann is a pleasure to deal with and answered the few questions we had in a very timely manner. My wife and I are already trying to narrow down dates for our next stay!

MAGICAL EXPERIENCE PROMPTIING AN ENGAGEMENT
We have rented many other properties. This property is MAGIC.
There were 6 of us, and we had the absolute most enjoyable, memorable time of our life. My daughter and her boyfriend, got engaged a couple of days
after, our stay ended. Perhaps, the sunsets.Say no more.l
The description, or the pictures, on the listing, does not do the property justice. This property is spectacular. Beyond spectacular
Ann's property is absolutely meticulously kept.
Attention is paid to every detail. The cottage should be in "Home Beautiful"
The interior design, is the best, I have ever seen for a cottage. I believe, every single bedroom has a lakefront view with a terrace.
The master bedroom, floor to ceiling windows, Within feet of the windows are large trees,. I could see the lake, yet felt like I was engulfed in the middle of
a forest.
Such choice, you can dine inside formally with white dishes or you can dine outside under the umbrella
There are more docks than one could image. The docks are all furnished with the most comfortable chaises and chairs. Such peace.
If you need to do business on the dock, excellent wifi. Who would think?
The landscaping on the property is absolutely breath-taking.
It is a very short walk to the docks.
Ann, the owner, is a gem. Funny, accommodating to all needs, and just lovely to deal with. She truly made us feel at home.
Simply the best.
We will be back..

Amazing winter getaway
We had an amazing long weekend away in muskoka. the property is beautiful and the home has every amenity you could need - the kitchen is fully stocked with tools to make anything you could want. Despite the -20 degree weather outside, it was very warm and comfortable with a lovely fireplace. It was extremely quiet at night and the morning views from the floor to ceiling windows can't be beat! A highlight was the fog over Stephens Bay - beautiful!! We had the unfortunate experience of a flat tire on our way back home, but a lovely Bracebridge local stopped to help and we were on our way again (this should have been our cue to just stay at the cottage forever).

Fantastic place to relax, enjoy, in style.
We arrived in late October from overseas with great expectations, which the fotos and reviews had raised in us.
Once you actually see the place, the setting, the architecture, the waterfront and the lake, we can only say that our expectations were met and exceeded in all categories.
Feel like boating - there are 3 marinas close by to rent a boat and the owner has a slip available for you.
Feel like cooking - enjoy the outstanding kitchen and everything you can think of is supplied.
Want to BBQ - just fire up the giant Weber.
Feel like reading or relaxing, grab an armchair next to the fireplace.
The place was immaculate and yet you felt comfortable and welcome.
The owner provided us with lists of things to do and recommendations for dinner, of which we could only tick off a few, simply because we didn't feel like leaving.
2 fireplaces, 2 docks, laundry facilities, fascinating sunsets.
We will be sure to come back.

About the host
Hosted by ann sutherland
I grew up in Ottawa, went to school in London Ontario and now live in Toronto with my husband. We have 2 adult children. We all love to travel and love old and new architectural wonders. Food though, just might be the centre of my universe!
Why they chose this property
We built this "little piece of heaven" with care and love. We think is the nicest point of land in all of Muskoka....with sunsets all year, and huge windows to enjoy nature. This is our dream cottage and I hope you will enjoy it and respect it as we do.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is all windows, so it doesn't matter what kind of weather is thrown your way as it is always so beautiful to look out at nature. Even thunderstorms are a marvel! A white carpet of snow in the peaceful winter while the fire is crackling in the cottage will energize you. The fall colours are a amazing of course with the 270 degree view! In the spring, the days are long, the plants are popping up everywhere and the long winter is but a memory when the sun is pouring into the glass cottage. It is as close to perfect as you can get!
