I'm a Carioca, I love my city, but the fascination for knowing the world led me to settle in the United Kingdom and Spain. Now that I'm back home, I'm seasonally renting my family's apartments. They're all in the same residential building constructed by my grandfather.
Why they chose this property
It was 1940 and Ipanema was a neighborhood under construction. Our grandfather was one of the entrepreneurs who believed in Ipanema and the the re-emerging of a a growing neighborhood that lacked middle class apartments, therefore he demolished his parent's beach house and built "October 16" building.
Some of the apartments remain with our family, and are currently remodeled and seasonally rented.
