I wish we could transport this house wherever we went in Colorado! It was very clean, comfortable, spacious, at a great location, etc. This is probably the best place I've stayed in Colorado this far after visiting in the fall for several years.

Great Stay

Nice property with a stream next to it and a porch with great views of the mountains & stars. The inside was clean and comfortable with lots of bedrooms & bathrooms that accommodated our family very well. Liked the kitchen, and the dining room table worked well for our entire family of 8. It's close to Ouray, which was very convenient.

Quiet, comfortable, awesome view

We all enjoyed this home, perfect location and awesome view. The home is well equipped with plenty of room for the three couples in our group. We were well informed before and during our stay, questions we had before and during our stay were answered in a timely manner. We all agreed we would rent this home again.

Great Memories!

Our two families had a great time staying in the guest house at Cutler Creek. The home has been recently updated and was clean. The large porch on the upper deck was wonderful to hang out on and enjoy the nice cool evenings in Colorado. The kids had a great time watching all the deer come up in the mornings and evenings around the house. The owner was always very responsive to any questions we had prior to, and during our visit. Thanks so much for helping us to create wonderful memories with friends and family!

Cozy Retreat

We loved this cozy house in Ouray. It had the perfect amount of rooms for everyone (family of six) and living spaces so everyone did not feel on top of each other. Everything is new and well done. and every detail attended to for our enjoyment. We especially loved sitting out on the balcony in the mornings with coffee watching the birds and enjoying the view. In the afternoons we always had a visit from a mule deer passing through. We hiked a lot of trails close by in Ouray and Ridgeway and enjoyed coming back to relax or cleaning up to go into town for dinner. It was a wonderful place to stay!

Location, location, location!!!

This is a spectacular location between Ridgway & Ouray. The property is pretty and a creek was running that we could listen to it. The furniture was not what was represented in the photos on VRBO and was dirty and had some previous damage. Great place but just needs some routine maintenance on faucets and window openers to bring it up to speed. The master bed was very firm which worked great for me and my husband but the other guests complained about the comfort of the beds. Would we stay again……absolutely.

Perfect little get away

This property was perfect for our family vacation! The home and bedrooms were well appointed and had everything we needed. The stars at night were amazing, while sitting outside on the deck you could hear the sound of a nearby stream. We spent most of our time in Ouray. But did visit Ridgeway and spent one day in Telluride. Our only minor issue was not paying attention that the home did not have AC when booking, but in this area most don't. The home did have plenty of box fans for each bedroom and the living room to keep you cool. Once evening came around it was the perfect temperature. We were there in July, so temps during the day were reaching the upper 90's. But basically it encouraged us to have a quick breakfast and do what you come to Colorado to do...get outside and explore, which we did every single day we had the pleasure to vist this beautiful area of Colorado. Thanks for the beautiful area to stay in Colorado!

Picture perfect Christmas

We stayed here for 10 days over Christmas and we couldn't have picked a better place. The house was perfect for our family of seven, it was really cozy. The couches in the main room are extremely comfortable, my husband now wants some for our home. The house is provided with wifi, and direct TV, the kitchen had plenty of pots and pans for cooking at home. The owners left us a welcome desert that we thought was very thoughtful. The house is in between Ridgway and Ouray and was a perfect location. We went into Ouray to go sledding and enjoy the hot springs and watch the ice climbers. Then 35 min past that is Silverton which has a small ski mountain it has a beginner hill all the way up to a black diamond. The all day ski lift pass was only 20$ For adults and $15 for kids. Ski rentals were only $25 for all day. It was such a great place for my older four kids to learn how to ski. On Christmas Eve we drove down to Telluride and took the free gondola over the mountain into mountain village which looks like Santa's village. We went ice skating in an outdoor skating rink while it snowed and then Santa and mrs Claus came to greet all the skaters. It was a perfect Christmas Eve. Jennifer was really sweet and so helpful giving us ideas of what to do. We would love to come very year.

Absolutely Wonderful!

My husband and I rented this home, along with the large home on property, to host our families and close friends for our Ouray wedding. It was everything we could have wished for and more. This smaller home gave our family friends the space to take time to themselves when not hanging out with us or our immediate families. The convenience to the large home was truly awesome and helped more times that I could count that we weren't running people around all weekend to different hotels or locations! Thank you to Laura for being so responsive the months leading up to and for the duration of our stay. I had so many questions while planning everything for our weekend and was grateful to get my questions answered so quickly! Location is equidistant between Ridgway and Ouray which was very beneficial to our weekend activities. You definitely feel remote and tucked away with the deer roaming in the mornings across the property. Also - this home is more spacious than the photos can show and is very very clean. Everyone was happy and very cozy!

Beautiful and comfortable

We went to go off roading . There was room for our equipment. The hose was very comfortable. The view was amazing. It is very quiet. It had the amenities to make our stay very nice. I would come back.

We rented this home along with the main house for our family to stay in during our intimate wedding and it was perfect!! The house was clean and cozy with plenty of room. Makes for a great combo with the main house for large parties.

Clean, comfortable and close to everything!

Our family really enjoyed our stay. Our family included my husband and myself, our three kids (ages 3, 5 & 6) and my parents. All of the beds were comfortable and we all had plenty of room. The kids loved exploring the large yard and we were able to hike up to Cutler Trail from the house which we all loved. We spent time in Ouray, Ridgway State Park, and Telluride. The drive to Telluride was stunning and the kids loved the gondola. We also went horseback riding with our older kids at Action Adventures Trail Rides (a short 10 minute drive from the house) and did the Mine Tour up that same road as well. We highly recommend both places! It did get a little warm, but there were box fans and the house cooled off in the evenings. We loved the big porch and while the kitchen was a little tight for our group, it was well-appointed and we made most of our meals at home with no issue at all. There was a herd of mule deer we would see in the mornings and evenings and a group of wild turkeys also came by to see us each day :) We loved staying here and would highly recommend it!

Great location

Easy drive into Ouray. Great property for families w room to eat and hang out together. Beds and bathrooms were great for our party of 6 adults and 1 kid (and could have easily accommodated 2-3 more kids). Porch was peaceful w Great views. Laura was very attentive and worked to ensure we had a great stay.

Great location

We've been coming to Colorado a long time now and have stayed in multiple VRBO homes. Our biggest need was something outside of town but close enough to not be a hassle. This cabin is in a great spot with a 5 minute drive into either Ouray or Ridgeway. It is close to the main house but even with neighbors there all week there wasn't any problems or noise issues. It still felt like we were by ourselves. We saw deer everyday as well as turkeys. A nice addition would be to have a fire pit to sit around at night as we saw the main house had one. Overall this was a great house and would stay here again.

Perfect place for small gathering

The house was very clean and equipped sufficiently to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. The location is perfect being just about 1/2 way between Ridgway and Ouray. With family staying in Ouray and the KOA, this made it very convenient. Mornings and evenings on the deck with the beautiful views were amazing. It’s location tucked behind the main house seems awkward at first, but turned out to be very nice being away from the highway a bit. There was a large group staying in the main house during our stay and never once was it an issue. Communication was easy and Laura was very responsive. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Nice place, lots of space, but starting to show its age

This is a nice home with great views that is well situated between Ridgway and Ouray. It was easily large enough for the 4 of us that could make it (winter storms caused the other 4 in our group to cancel), and it can easily fit 4-6 more. The kids loved the bunk bed and crawl-way closet downstairs. Bedrooms are so large the furniture in them feels under-sized. And downstairs will never leave you wishing for more doors. Prepare yourself for where you're staying. It's a box canyon and satellite TV and internet are iffy at times, and cell service depends on where you are standing. The TV's and appliances are dated and the kitchen is equipped with the bare necessities. This is a great place to stay and escape, but isn't ideal for a remote work-place.

Great Spot

7 minutes from downtown Ouray, and 15 minutes from Ridgway, it was perfect location for all activities, of which there are many.

We chose this location to offer family friendly, superior accommodations because it is our favorite place on earth! It is within short driving distance of Ouray, Telluride, Montrose, and Silverton. All quaint mountain towns offering much for travelers to enjoy. There are numerous hiking and jeeping trails easily accessible.

Cutler creek (seasonal) runs thru the property which is beautifully landscaped. Plenty of room for kids to run and play safely outside. This beautiful home and the unique area will entice you to come back for more.
