About this property

Luxury chateau rental in Anjou loire valley france - Wedding destination

Completed as a private residence in 1854, this magnificent chateau rental in the Loire region of France is the jewel of Anjou. It can accommodate up to 50 people in 23 suites and bedrooms. The Castle provides guests with luxurious suites for their romantic holiday getaway in France. Designed for superior comfort, each room is brightened by the charm and elegance of a glamorous era. Come visit, and step inside a fairytale. The Chateau Fairytale is located only thirty minutes outside the town of Angers in the Loire Valley, the region of Castles, and only one and a half hour from Paris by TGV (High Speed Train). The Chateau is easy to get to from England and Ireland by flying direct into Nantes airport. Situated on beautiful grounds, the Chateau complex makes up one corner of a small, quaint village, which also has shops, a cathedral, and many summer events. Chateau Fairytale is the ultimate destination for your castle wedding or romantic holiday in France. For its unique design, the original owners chose a very well-known architect from Paris. Louis Visconti was already famous for designing the Louvre extension and the tomb of Napoleon at Les Invalides. The Chateau was then built by Rene Honde in 1854 as a private residence for Count Rochenfoucauld and his family. Beautiful landscaped gardens, and a private lake, offset the grandeur of the stone edifice. For the interior, the original owners chose the same neogothic style as the outside. The original decorations are unique in the Loire Valley; they seamlessly incorporate wood sculptures, Gothic paneling, and furniture to accent the rooms, along with large fireplaces and French paintings on the ceilings. The structure is a marvel to behold; 150ft limestone walls contain 365 windows, 52 fireplaces, and 12 turrets, as well as countless sculptural details along the facade. The splendor continues inside. Masterfully carved wood paneling and cabinetry, stunning hand-painted ceilings, and flawlessly chosen decor make each salon an historic holiday experience. The chapel that is found within the chateau can be used for small wedding ceremonies or renewal of wedding vows. At the Chateau Fairytale, all of the accommodations have been refurbished to a standard that offers the grand design of the nineteenth century, with the luxury of 21st century technology. All conveniences are available at the chateau. Each suite includes robes, slippers, a hairdryer, private wc, bath and tea & coffee making facilities. The owners aim to make your holidays in France truly memorable. All of the common rooms are on the ground floor and each are majestic and intriguing. From the entry hall to the sitting room, to the dining room followed by a second sitting room, library, and game/piano room, you will never cease to be amazed by the decorations, wood work, ceilings, fixtures and thought put into making Chateau Fairytale relive as it once did in all its grandeur. With 8 luxurious period suites and 3 large bedrooms in the
chateau and 10 stunning modern bedrooms in the coach
house your guests will be treated to a luxurious stay. The Gatehouse is a separate building within the chateau
grounds for 5 people and has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with a
kitchen and living room and is also included in all packages.IN THE MAIN CHATEAUTHE ROYAL SUITE:• Sleeps 6 guests
