Are you ready for a little piece of heaven in Mid-Missouri, a place to step away from the hustle and bustle of life to a private lake property with no schedule demanding your time? This property is great for kids of all ages! Beautiful views greet you from the drive in, to the panoramic views of a crystal blue lake from the dock to the deck, and it's all yours during your stay. Your own private 25 acre lake is waiting for you to enjoy fishing, swimming, or simply relaxing and soaking in the sun on a small sand beach. The boat ramp provides access to the lake to launch your boat and the dock has an open slip waiting for your boat (no-wake/trolling motor only). A sun deck and ladder to the lake are part of the dock which has party lights for use as the sun sets. Bass, bluegill and crappie are plentiful. (Catch and release). Watching and catching the fish from the dock is a child favorite activity.
The house is accessible via steps or ramp. Wifi throughout. The front door opens to a welcoming great room, full kitchen and dining area. The home sleeps 10 comfortably, with 3 bedrooms, 2 family/game areas (queen sofa sleeper in 2nd FR), 2 baths (king has an accessible step-in shower). A utility area with a full-size stacked Washer (he detergent) and Dryer is available. Smart TVs are in the family rooms, king bedroom and queen bedroom. The bunk room is a favorite for all ages, especially cousins and friends to reconnect.
The full kitchen includes a stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with ice/water dispenser, Keurig Duo for coffee by the pot or cup, the island serves as the countertop appliance shed and includes a toaster, air fryer and food processor/blender combo. Dishes, glasses, pots, pans utensils are available.
The large, covered deck includes several seating areas, a gas grill, or Weber kettle if you prefer charcoal, ceiling fan with a light and lighting around the ceiling for evening activities. A firepit is just a few steps from the house, Adirondack chairs are available and additional chairs are on the side of the deck. S'mores are a fan favorite along with star gazing and searching for satellites as they pass through the night sky. Memorable sunsets are a frequent and unexpected gift from every vantage point of the property. The pictures around the house give you an idea of what you can expect.
Venturing out to downtown Mexico, MO is but 5 min away. Enjoy the restaurants, shopping, antique shopping, and driving by the beautiful old homes of this historic brick town. Several golf courses are close by for your enjoyment. If you want to venture out of Mexico, Columbia MO, Go Mizzou Tigers, is 40 min away. Hannibal is an hour away, and Mark Twain Lake is 40 min away. Downtown St. Louis is 2 hrs away, (Go Cards, Blues, StL City SC); Kansas City, Go Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC SC, is 2hr, 20 min away.
This private secure property offers year-round enjoyment, the colors that pop as the seasons change, a waterfowl flyway for ducks and geese (no hunting), and if you're timing is right, swans that stop by in Jan/Feb to enjoy the 75-foot-deep lake that doesn't completely freeze in the winter months. Other wildlife such as deer and other small animals make the property their home as well. They will leave you alone, do the same for them.
The gate is secured with a padlock entry. To maintain your privacy, be sure to relock the gate after you enter and each time as you enter/leave the property.
