Come explore the beautiful North woods of Maine from your home away from home on the shore of pristine Moosehead Lake. The house sits on Harfords Point, which juts out into the southern end of Moosehead Lake, just minutes from Greenville. Start the morning with a cup of coffee on the dock as you enjoy the mountain views and watch the loons fishing for their breakfast. In spring, summer and fall, enjoy water sports, hiking, kayaking, fishing and bird watching throughout the day. Enjoy an evening fire beside the lake, gazing at more stars than you ever thought existed or watch a full moon light up the lake. Fall asleep to the sound of crying loons and crashing waves. Winter brings snowmobiling, ice fishing, snow shoeing, cross-country and downhill skiing.
This location is a quiet family environment. It is for those that want to escape to a serene spot and enjoy nature without disturbing the peace of others. Parking is limited to four cars that may only be parked on our property. We want you to enjoy your stay, however we ask that you please respect the the privacy, peace and serenity that defines Moosehead Lake. PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR REVIEWS!

Private, clean, beautiful views, dog friendly, kitchen was well stocked with whatever you may need, not far from restaurants and grocery store. Nice covered deck to sit outside and listen to the loons. Our only wish, is that we had a longer stay! Thank you!

Arrived and the views didnā€™t disappoint. The house sits on a fairly quiet road and the peace and beauty was exactly what we all needed. The property is fully stocked with just about anything you could need from all cooking aspects including a nice grill to lake side adventures with the kayaks. Overall 10/10 and no complaints other than the relentless wildlife which is always getting after those trash barrels.. needs a structure to put barrels inside as that was the only downside.. amazing place!!

Moosehead Lake rental near Greenville

Our weeklong trip to this property was ok but not amazing. Some of what we were disappointed by is out of control of the property owners for example the lake was incredibly cold for what we expected for mid- July and the kids didnā€™t catch a single fish no matter where or when they tried. The scenery was amazing and the cottage was a nice location to Greenville where we rented ATVs and a pontoon plus a good size grocery store is maybe 15 minutes away. The kitchen was well equipped with the use of a gas grill which was very appreciated! The layout of the house was a little strange with one of the two deck entrances thru the master bedroom. The beds were only so-so. The little kids didnā€™t mind them but 3 of the 4 adults found them uncomfortable. The furniture was sufficient and comfortable. The basement was smelly and wi-fi was bad down there so the tv glitched every 2 minutes. We brought it upstairs (thank goodness for strong sons!) and then had no problem. Enjoyed having 2 kayaks available for use.

Beautiful and private!

Our family enjoyed swimming right in front of the house, and also did some boating and tubing with our boat. The house has everything you need. Beautiful, quiet and private!

Yearly winter trip to Moosehead!

Our family goes to Moosehead for at least a week every year for ice fishing and snowmobiling and to just get away from the hustle and bustle! Good food, good friends, good laughs, games & books!This was a beautiful cleanly space with very great communication with the host! Only downfall was the access to the lakefront is very steep so snowmobiles need to be entered onto the lake and driven around, which is just a quick trip around the point but if youā€™re looking for a straight shot with level ground Prepare for some stair climbing !

Graduation getaway

The property was amazing, clean, comfortable. It was well represented online and the owners were very accomadating and quick to respond. We are considering another stay in the summer. 10/10 would recommend.

This place is amazing. Lots of space. Comfortable. Clean. Beautiful views and right on the water. Close to town. The tv is in the basement via a spiral staircase which could pose difficulties for elderly. 5 easy stars

Lovely respite in the Fall

This rental was spotless, had beautiful views and comfy furnishings. The quiet neighborhood was great for walking, and the nearby private beach exquisite. Although the setting is private, the house is very near downtown Greenville and its shops and restaurants. Scott and Jana were great to work with. It would be an ideal rental in the summer for swimming and kayaking!

Relaxing

Property was as advertised. It was very clean , well appointed kitchen, great fire pit, beds comfortable, beautiful views. A little glitch checking in.. code was not updated for our number so couldnā€™t get in for abou 40 min. Vrbo service was quick at helping us get in. My only concern was the rotted out grill. You could see the propane tank while cooking. Seems extremely dangerous.

On vacation with mom

Beautiful view right on the water House is nice easy to get to. Nice walk to beach. The stairs to down stairs a bit to much for my mom so we stayed upstairs the tv is down there so we spent time out on the porch or in the den. Had a fire in the fire pit. the house had everything u need. Weā€™ll be back. Thanku šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Great stay!

We had a great stay! Everything was perfect. The home has a beautiful view. We loved the dock for morning coffee, watching the sunrise and fishing. We spent the days at the shared beach across the street. We appreciated access to the kayaks to explore. The fire pit was a great way to end the evening.

Moosehead Lake in June

We love this place in its quiet, mature neighborhood. The location is private but conveniently close enough to town. It is spacious, clean and well maintained. Three days of uncharacteristic 90 degree temps made us realize there is no conditioning. The listing IS NOT misrepresented, I just never checked.

Lovely spot

Perfect viewing for the eclipse back in April. Well stocked, very comfy, super responsive owners! Only downside is the 2 bedrooms with bunks are connected by a closet with no doors, only curtains, so privacy for those 2 bedrooms can be a bit dicey. We all had an absolutely wonderful time, and if we're ever back up that way we wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Great waterfront property

Had an amazing stay at this location. Waterfront property. The dock was not set up yet since we were a little before season but still enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of sitting out looking over the water. Owners were communicative about some improvements going on at the property, which was very appreciated. Entry was easy, house was well stocked with essentials and then some. Would definitely come back again!
