About Cynthia

WE LOVE TO SHARE THE HISTORY OF NEW ORLEANS!!!

Cynthia purchased this studio in 2012

Why Cynthia chose French Quarter

Bill & I were born & raised in New Orleans ..We live only 12 miles away from New Orleans . If needed we are available for our guest .We enjoy coming back on weekends to NOLA for the best entertainment in the world!!!

What makes this studio unique

We love the safety of the area & convenience of walking to many locations. When you walk outside the Condo there is so much to see and do you won't know what direction you want to go in. Take a right and walk almost one block and across the street you will see Port Of Call. A famous hamburger resturant which is also known for its famous drink, Monsoon.

Take a left and walk about 4 blocks and you will see Frenchmen St. Take a left on Frenchmen and as you walk down the block you will have a choice of several bar and restaurants with live entertainment. If you don't take a left on Frenchmen St. then walk another block and take a right and you will be headed to the French Market. If you don't feel like heading left or right, then walk stright down Bourbon St. and get ready for the time of your life. When headed down Bourbon, stop at 941 Bourbon St. and visit the oldest bar in the U.S. 'Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar. It was established around 1772.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a great way to end our challenging year! So much better than a hotel stay. We look forward to coming back to this condo or your other one on Decatar St. Thanks again for you hospitality & warmth!

A quiet oasis at the end of Bourbon Street.

VRBO Bear stayed here

Aug 22, 2014

The condo was a quaint little spot that was conveniently located at the very end of Bourbon Street which made it easy to walk to everything, whether it be history or nightlife! A perfect place for two people with a lot of privacy from neighbors and any outside noise. The condo was on a really beautiful street with lots of trees and pretty houses, and made us feel right at home. We really enjoyed the security of the building. The apartment being inside the building made us feel very secure and stowed away from the high energy of New Orleans. It was a great place to settle after a long day of great food, live music, and taking in the city with my best friend. The bed was big enough for two and the kitchen was perfect to store all of our yummy leftovers. Cindy was very helpful with the rental information, had really good nearby recommendations, and was easy to reach for questions. Definitely would stay here again!

Perfect, quiet stay

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect location for an overall experience of New Orleans. It's close enough to the quarter that you can walk but just far enough away that's it's in really nice and quiet neighborhood. The condo was very nice and clean. I will definitely be using this condo for my future stays to New Orleans.

An ideal home away from home in NOLA

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for four nights in April 2018, and it couldn't have been better. Even though it's just a few blocks away from the craziness of Bourbon Street, it's quiet and feels very secure. Walk five minutes in one direction and you're among the parties of Bourbon Street, a few minutes in another direction and you're at the music clubs of Frenchman Street. The entire French Quarter is easily explored on foot from the apartment. The place was immaculate when I arrived -- clean and cozy, tastefully decorated, with a large and comfy bed. I had a little trouble figuring out the door lock, but Cynthia answered my phone call immediately and helped out. Even though there are other apartments in the building, I rarely heard other people. It's a great place for a solo traveller or a couple -- lots of closet space, dresser drawers, etc. Cynthia was very helpful before the trip, and when I arrived. Very highly recommended.

SMALL AND COZY!!

  • 4 of 5

I would give it a 5 - but there were some amenities in kitchen that were missed: like a toaster, oven mitts or hotpads, and towels to wash the dishes (there was a brush but no towels) - ASIDE from that the apartment was perfect -- very SMALL and COZY but Plenty of storage for your belongings and the bed was comfy. We walked everywhere and having a parking permit is incredible!! - and we found a spot right next the building where we parked the first day and that's where our car stayed for our visit. Great area - a few blocks walk in each direction gets you to a streetcar (N Rampart or French Market) and you are just blocks from all the Bourbon Street Action or Frenchman Street.

Definitely a Great Place to Stay - it doesn't disappoint!!

I'd like to stay next year for our NOLA visit but this GEM is already booked for that weekend! Thanks Cindy and Bill!

Little Gem Close To It All

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here recently for 4 nights and had a great time. This place is so close to the action of Bourbon street but also a short walk to restaurants, the square and WWII museum etc. We love the restaurant Port of Call and this place is a block away. It is tastefully decorated and the bed is very comfortable. Communication with the owners was excellent as well.Check in and out was easy. It was very easy to find a parking spot in the street. The furthest we ever had to park away was 1 block. The only negative came from my wife and she felt there wasn't enough space in the bathroom to put her makeup on and if she tried to use the mirror by the front door there wasn't adequate light for that. Maybe they could put more light by the front door. That was the only issue. Loved this place and would stay again in the future. We had an issue with the coffee pot the second day and Cynthia corrected the problem immediately. Great owners. Thanks.
