The Neighborhood:
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors (no chain restaurants here!). Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, dive into some wings at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or enjoy a fancy night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch.
Portland isn't just for foodies. The vibrant indie spirit of Hawthorne is alive with plenty of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at the Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of fun, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park on top of a dormant volcano vent, where you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city. Enjoy the best of Portland’s unique charm and vibrant culture in the Hawthorne/Buckman District!

Place was as described, clean, and well-stocked with toiletries, dishware, cookware, etc. I will say there is mandatory choice between a non-refundable damage fee or refundable deposit in order to confirm your booking with Stay Portland so be aware of that. Otherwise, I had a great stay!
This is the second time we have stayed in this complex in the last year. Everything about this studio is perfect the size, the location along with knowing the host is just a phone call away. We plan on returning soon.
