Best VRBO Ever
I can't say enough good things about this house and the experience of working with the owners. It is a lovely historic Berkeley Hills house that is well maintained and has had valuable upgrades, especially in the kitchen, bathrooms, and lighting. Plenty of comfortable seating in multiple parts of the house. I liked that the TV is out of the way in the lower-level "bonus room."I like to cook and this was the best equipped kitchen I've ever seen in a VRBO, by a huge margin. All the high quality pots, pans, bowls, and utensils you need, along with plenty of silverware, plates, etc. for everyone staying in the house. The owners were excellent communicators. They quickly answered some early questions we had to help us make sure that this house would be a good choice for us, and then checked our preferences around things like whether to keep Christmas decorations up and type of coffee we like. They are committed to making sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Lots of good detailed notes for how everything works. To get the full sleeping capacity, be aware you do need to have people sharing full size (vs Queen) beds. A little snug if you are used to a larger mattress at home, but quite manageable. The neighborhood is quiet but convenient to grocery stores and other shopping. It is quite nice just to walk through the neighborhood and enjoy the variety of homes and landscaping. If this house is available when you are looking - grab it - you won't regret it.
