Annamarie Richter purchased this House in 2015
Why Annamarie Richter chose Sanford

Glorious Views on the St. Johns River
We loved staying at the St. John's River house. It was a wonderful place for a family gathering and viewing some of Florida's wildlife close up and personal. Most of all I liked to get up early and see the sunrise over the river. If you want to experience "Old Florida" this is the place for you.
This property is the exact definition of old florida....
I can't say enough how beautiful this house and property is...the owners couldn't have been nicer to me and my very large family!!!Cant wait to go back and enjoy again!!
Absolutely amazing house, property, and location!
My extended family and I gathered from different parts of the U.S. to attend my daughter’s college graduation and were fortunate enough to find this lovely property to have our reunion. The home is spacious with a gorgeous and comfortable interior. There are abundant sleep spaces throughout and the screened porches are an added plus. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. My family from afar was grateful for the use of the washer and dryer. Except for the need of an extra bathroom for larger groups, this home has everything! I can’t say enough how lovely the interior decore is, including the built-in bookshelves, the homey fireplace, the comfortable wraparound couch, and the beds. Such lovely decorative touches too with the wall art and corner vases. The area rugs too lend a homey yet refined feeling to the home. This home is a gem! Views are spectacular from inside as well as outside. There is all kinds of wildlife about and a very interesting Native American burial mound literally across the street. I hope we can come back for a visit because this stunning retreat is a rare treasure!
Beautiful, spacious, and clean
Starting with the secluded Nieghborhood of less then 15 houses, and huge oak trees with Spanish moss. The houses was very accommodating for 3 families, very spacious and lots of entertainment areas. We love to cook, and there was no shortage of different cooking pots or pans, all the supplies and more were stocked in the kitchen. Beautiful views of the river from the screened porches and the living room. I saw all kinds of wildlife from owls at night, gators, cranes, turtles, fish, frogs, and woodpeckers. Thank you Annemarie and Jean for letting us enjoy your home. Jean thank you for bringing us firewood and for the great conversations we had. Look forward to coming back soon and spending more time in the relaxing environment the house is!!
Great Place for a Group
We had a wonderful stay 12 of us for our daughters wedding in Sanford. The accommodations were perfect everything was clean and comfortable. It was the perfect place for a large group with plenty of space for everyone. Annamarie was great to communicate with and always responded to any questions I had very promptly. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay with a great view and peaceful atmosphere.
Great House For Our Kayak Trip
Our kayaking group from SC travels to FL every winter and this home was our favorite so far out of the homes we've booked. Very spacious and the hosts were kind, accommodating, and closely available. We prefer to cook all of our meals at the house rather than eating out and this kitchen is well stocked. From both inside the house and out in the yard under the canopy of trees, you can't beat the view overlooking the St. Johns River. Sunrises were spectacular.
We took day trips to kayak the Wikiva River and visited Blue Springs State Park to see the manatees, both only about 30 min away. One day we launched our kayaks from the house and paddled up river a bit and let the current bring us back down. The river is fairly wide open and with the high winds that day we cut the trip shorter than we had hoped. I wish we had an extra day to paddle down river. Parking is plentiful at the house. Bike riding opportunities are close by.
The house is located within a day trip to many attractions. For example: Universal, Disney World, Sea World, Cape Canaveral and many more. The local beaches are within an hours ride from the home too.
